HDR and camera flash missing after iOS 4.2 install

My cameras flash options and HDR options have been removed after upgrading to the new iOS 4.2 today. Has this happened to anyone else? How do i downgrade back to the previous OS?

HDR mode does disappear when you're in Video mode but not flash option. Is the button to switch cameras there at least? I'd either force quit the app (app switcher then hold finger down on Camera app although you can't be in the Camera app to kill it...then hit the X) or reboot the device and see if it persists.

Helix rear camera flash missing after four being sent out

How do I get in contact with someone that can get something done correctly at Lenovo? Starting 11/24/13 we ordered a Helix Ultrabook for our company and a very pricey tablet at that. Lenovo had no problems taking our money but now after four failed attempts they still have not sent us the correct tablet. We have called and had their tech guy verify that we ordered the correct one and that it was an internal problem at Lenovo and they would get it corrected. They even refunded a around 150.00 dollars to make up for it and was going to get the correct one right out to us. That was number three that was also wrong. So we called up there and told them it was wrong again and they said they are going to get it right this time being this first invoice that we paid had the correct info on it they said it was a manufacturing issue on their end and would get back with us in 48 hours for some kind of payment for our time and to make amends. All of that being an internal problem and none of my concern I just need the product that I ordered and paid for. A company as big as they are and can't even get one order correct after four tries. One would think that someone would walk the assembly line and sign off that it is made and shipped to the specs on the invoice.
PLEASE SEND ME A HELIX WITH THE FLASH THAT IS ON THE SPEC AND IF YOU GOOGLE THE HELIX AND LOOK AT IMAGES IT WILL SHOW THEM WITH ONE.
Here is the last email I got from them and never heard anything else till another incorrect tablet was delivered.

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not help, set it up as new device, explained here:

Rear camera stopped working after iOS 7.1.2 update- iPhone 5

My rear camera is not working after I did 7.1.2 software update this morning. I see a blank screen when I click the camera app.

So my camera was fine until yesterday and pressing on the lens did not work so I went back to looking for solutions:

The article is from last year (IOS 7), but solution 1 worked for me. Here are all the solutions from the link:
Solution 1
Hold the Sleep button until you see the Slide to Power Off slider
Slide it and then immediately hold down the Sleep button again until you see the Apple logo

Contacts numbers missing after IOS 5 update.

Contacts missing after IOS 5 update. I turned off my phone and turned it back on but only my email contacts were there not my numbers. I updated it on my PC.

Ok. So after too much of a fight with the iPhone, here is what i think got back the contacts on my phone.
Step 1: Setting -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> iCloud : Switch off everything.
Step 2: Go back to main setting page.
Step 3: Make sure you see "Inactive" under iCloud.
Step 4: Hit the home button
Step 5: Close iTunes and start it back up.
Step 6: Unplug your iPhone from the computer and plug it back in.
Step 4,5,6 is to make sure you are starting a new session.
Step 7: Sync iTunes.
Step 8: Check your contacts. They should have come back up
Step 9: Setting -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> iCloud : Switch on everything.
Choose the option "merge" when you get it.

This did not help the problem. History of problems that started 3 days ago before 6.1 update:
Problems started with the phone dropping a call I was on. Then the screen had lines across it, then screen turned solid green.
Powered off the iphone.
Happened again 4 hours later. Dropped call then garbed screen. Powered off then back on all seemed okay.
Applyed 6.1 yesterday in the morning. Phoned died completely last night. Plugged in over night and it came back up this morning.
Phone is still within 1 year warranty. Should I just have Apple replace the phone (Warranty runs out in 2 weeks)

What program are you talking about? Coprocessor is built into the Processor nowdays...

IPhone5 rear-facing camera and flashlight not working after iOs 7.0.3 update

This is my first time posting here so do forgive me if I leave anything out.
Problem 1
I updated my iPhone 5 to iOs 7.0.3 (on 10/22 when it released). Since then, my rear-facing camera has stopped working. When I open up the camera, it's just a black screen and I cannot take a picture or video, but the other elements on the screen are still functional: changing flash from auto/on/off, turning HDR on/off, switching from video/photo/square/pano, but still the screen remains black. When I switch to the front-facing camera though, it works fine. I can take pictures and video through that view.
Problem 2
The second problem that's happened as well is the flashlight in the control center is greyed out, can't click it at all.
Attempt to Fix
I brought my iPhone 5 to a Genius Bar. Guy took it to the back to open it up and check if there were any physical problems with the phone and camera. He came back, found nothing. Unfortunately my phone was no longer under the one-year warranty, so in order to fully replace the phone with a new or refurbished one, I would've had to dish out $200 something and I wasn't trying to do that just yet. So we decided to just wipe it clean and restore. After we did that, everything was working, the rear-facing camera, the flashlight, things were perfect. I left the Apple store, got on the train to head home. I opened up the camera to take a picture and long behold, it stopped working again. I got home and did the exact same thing the guy did, wiped my phone and restored. Everything was working again. I held my breath though... 1/2 hour later, same problems with the rear-facing camera and flashlight came back.
Just as a note, not sure if it helps, when I use third-party camera apps/photo editors, when I try to use the camera within those apps, it freezes and closes.
I don't know what else to do. It seems the only fix is restoring my phone and having the camera and flashlight work for a few minutes only to go back to the same problems. The Genius Bar didn't help. I'm not trying to give up $200 something when this is something that happened clearly because of the iOs 7.0.3 update. It was working perfectly fine before that.

WORKAROUND FOUND ! Download and install "Awesome Camera" app and take a picture with that app. After 1-2 seconds of standby, it will work. Then you can go back to default Camera app which would work again.Please let me know

IOS 6 and Camera Flash on 4S Problem

I just noticed that my flash doesn't come on anymore to focus the picture in low light situations. When you take the picture the flash works fine. However, the picture is blurring because it is too dark for the camera to focus before snapping the picture. I may be wrong but I remember that in iOS 5 you would tap the screen to focus and if it was too dark the light would come on so you could focus the picture, then go off and flash bright when you snap the photo. I've tried both the auto and the on settings with no luck.
Has anyone else noticed this?

I had the same problem. iPhone 4, upgraded to iOS 6 and the flash option and the camera (front/back) selector missing from the GUI. I restarted my phone as suggested and voila, all is better now.

Not sure why your cameras stopped working with the update, or what the exact symptom is (black screen, no response...), but please check out the Camera troubleshooting section of this article. (I know some don't apply to your issue.)
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.

Is there any way to fix the flash and poor photo quality after iOS 7 upgrade?

Since upgrading to the new iOS 7 on my iPhone 5 ... I have experienced poor photo (grainy) and the flash works when it feels like it... Is there any way
possible to revert back at least on the camera settings or is there a fix that can be downloaded to solve this problem? I take and use my camera a lot on my iphone5 and for me to have this problem it has made me really regret ever upgrading and I am starting to lose my faith in Apple products. I have searched the entire web and it appears there are a ton of people experiencing this same problem.!!!!

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons..
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

N8 Dead After taking a picture and Camera Flash!!

yesterday i took a picture from my n8...everything was working fine upto then
suddenly after this....there was a sound like chick....and thts it the n8 went dead...the screen went black n never turned on again....the lens shutter remained open...
** apprx 2 months back an event had occured...the lower part of the phone containing the microphone became loose(broke at the screws) and came out....the guy at a local store stuck it in using an adhesive(fevi quick in only a 2 drop amount).....but the phone worked absolutely fine after tht

Yes I'm having the same problems. Taking pictures, then only seeing faint squares on the camera roll, with not pictures. When trying to raise photo, camera goes back to setting. This is my 4th Iphone, first one I purchased, took 100 pictures and downloaded them on a Dell Laptop, then faint squares on Camera roll showed up, taking it back to an Apple store in Louisville, Ky, getting a new phone, doing the same thing to a second party, another 100 photos, downloaded them, and again no pics, just empty squares, then I sent it to Apple, got a loaner service phone, and loaner phone wouldn't take pictures either, got a brand new phone from Apple service, invoice saying "replaced with new unit", and it again would not take pictures. 4 phones, and two service phones, and the last one a brand new phone from Apple service direct to my ole Indiana home, and still it doens't take and then store pictures, does just what the other phones have done, nothing different, still doesn't work, still doesn't take pictures, still not I wanted, and I'm going to keep trying. I just bought my iPhone 5 two days ago and it was running iOS 6.1.3. Camera was working perfectly and just after the update, I took like 2 pictures, and at first when trying to take a picture, almost half of my screen was in pink. I go my dad's old phone 2 weeks ago, I updated to ios 7.02, my pararama didn't move at all, I looked in settings and messed around trying to make it work ( turning it off and on) it still didn't work, I also noticed that my camera features such as filters on the slide bar dissapered, I updated to 03 but still noting happened I am do angry, how can i fix this? You laggy keyboard/typing issue however is another matter. Several iPhone 4 users (and other models too) have reported similar problems after upgrading to iOS 7, but most iPhone 4 users do not experience the issue. A fix I've heard has been successful in several cases is to logout of iCloud and iTunes and the App Store in Settings, reset the phone (press sleep/wake and home buttons together and hold until Apple logo appears), and then log back into iCloud and iTunes and the App Store in Settings again.

Facebook app deadly slow, wifi slow, app downloading deadly slow, app crashes enormously, and maps too slow after iOS 6 update

I have a 3rd Gen Ipad Wifi, and it worked like a charm from the day I bought to the time before the update. All the problems started after iOS 6 update. Especially Facebook app is like a using dial up connection with the slowest possible speed. After the update, it became just a little bit faster, but still cant even open photos, and video. Google Chrome crashes often, the game download beame dead slow. Has any been experiencing similar things??????
