HDV 1080i50 - urgent guidance and help required.

Hi guys,
I need to send a 129 minutes HDV feature (with a few DVD Pro and Targa frames) project that i have just finished editing to:
1) SD DVD
2) HD DVD
3) Master Digital(Hard Disk)
4) Master Digital to Tape.
The project is as follows;
Captured footage: HDV 1080 i50
Some additional footage is in Targa and DVCPro file formats.
Frame Size: 1440 x1080 @ 25 fps
AIFF Audio 48Khz / 16 bit.
The Sequence and Compressor codec is set to ProRes 422(HQ) and all else to 'BEST'.
I have, so far, exported the entire nested project from FCP as a self contained Quicktime movie and the file size is 24.5GB. The result gave me lots of interlacing errors showing all over. The DVCPro and Targa data(video) didn't show).
I haven't used compressor before (except for the web)and was hoping for some guidance from you all on which settings to use for the above four options.
Also, if I need to print to film later, since the video is interlaced, is it going to cause problems?
Does Compressor de-interlace or do I 'select all' in FCP and hit de-interlace?

The same thing happened to me today. Did you find any help? I am about to order a DC in board and try that. Hopefully it's not the logic board. Any help is really appreciated! Thanks, Chris

Some knowledge and help required!

I've been a long term reader of the boards, and thanks to them have never had to post on here... until now!
My 2009 Macbook Pro has within the last couple of months developed a seriously annoying problem. Immediately upon waking from sleep, the wifi seems to struggle to find a connection and keeps showing the searching symbol. If I try click on the symbol, or do ANYTHING else, I get the beachball, and the system completely freezes and I have to do a hard restart. This was a sudden thing, my macbook had been working perfectly before this.
Now, I first took it to the apple store after my harddrive supposedly failed, I thought maybe all the hard restarts due to the freezing had damaged the drive, or that maybe the drive was responsible for the problems in the first place. The genius suggested I send my SSD back to Samsung (I had installed an 840 SATA SSD about 10 months fine and had been working perfectly), which I did. Samsung then returned the same SSD with no apparent damage. Tried to re-upload my data from a time machine backup which failed when reaching around 14%, causing the drive to become unreadable again and causing kernel panics on startup. So again, another trip to the genius bar where my drive was wiped and I was able to upload Mavericks, after which I used migration assistant to restore my data. I then tried to see if the sleep bug had disappeared but it still remains!
After yet more disappointment and more searching of online communities, I tried the apple hardware test, which came back as all clear. Disc utilities and Onyx have all reported no damage and say the system appears to be ok. I have even tried deleting prefered networks in the network preferences as I had seen this suggested for something similar that some Lion users had seen. So now, I'm completely stuck and am dreading another trip to the apple store!

2.26 GHz Intel core 2 duo
8GB 1067 MHz DDR3 (installed by me)
250GB 840 series SSD SATA (installed by me)

3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the request of a stranger on a public message board. 4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
5. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
6. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

E72 - my thoughts and help required

I've had this phone for a week or more on a brilliant deal from TMobile in the Uk
Brilliant phone, everything I need, a bit of a learning curve but as a business alternative to the Blackberry and Iphone I cant think of much else I'd need, and at £10-£10 a month cheaper it's got to be a worthy contender up against the other two if you can do without the fancy bells and whistles which I dont need
However I need to import a load of contacts from an excel file and Outlook, and I'm struggling to find out how to do this, can anyone put me in the right direction?
Also I'd like to use it with an external keyboard for those times when I'm in a hotel and some more lengthy emails to send, the onboard keyboard is very good, but fiddly for extensive use.
Also is there a headset with single earpiece and mouthpiece? My kids use a similar device on their x-box, it'd be useful where I have to make a succession of phone calls, the supplied headset is basic and I dont like the two little earpieces for extended work
Also can anyone recommend a basic CRM for the E72, I think the range of apps is very limited and if this is going to challenge the BB I think some more business orientated apps, not necessarily complicated, but Nokia recommended would be really useful. I've seen some CRM's suitable for the E series but no idea how good/bad they are, there seems to be very little user-reviews on them

Nokia's SU-8W keyboard gets a lot of praise. Nokia do a range of headsets, I prefer the earpieces - I find all headsets/headphones uncomfortable probably cos I wear glasses - but I do have Nokia BH-103 bluetooth headset which are fine. Is best to find somewhere that sells them and try them on really.
There are good applications out there, I use some from the QuickOffice range and Smartphoneware all of which are pretty good, the latter you can trial full versions for 15 days or so.

But the old owner that had the ipad wasn't erase all the settings and when im tray to accses with my Apple ID i found the ICloud need his password to delete his account and i didnt know this peron at all i had found his apple ID.
and i had sent a lto of mails for this peron but he's not answer my mails.
and i had restored with custom restore and now the ipad need to activation with the ID i told.
Now i didn't know what should i do.
So please your kind fast support i konw that the Apple company have a solution for this issue.

I agree with you Demo. I had my iPhone stolen a couple months ago and they turned off my phone immediately. I was never able to track it, so it couldn't be wiped. I appreciate what Apple has done with iOS7, but I think they've perhaps taken it too far. Someone sells their device, doesn't turn off Find my iPhone, or wipe it back to new and the new purchaser has a nice paperweight. It would be different if they knew, but they don't camp out here on the forums like we do........

Urgent help required: Query regarding LC Variables

Sometime earlier I was working on a performance issue raised by a customer. It was shell script that was taking almost 8-9 hrs to complete. During my research I came across a fact that there were some variables which were not set, the LC variables were impacting the sort funnel operations because of which the script was taking a long time to execute.
I asked them to export the following commands, after which the program went on smoothly and finished in a couple of mins:
export LC_COLLATE=en_US.ISO8859-1
export LC_MESSAGES=C
export LC_MONETARY=en_US.ISO8859-1
export LC_MONETARY=en_US.ISO8859-1
export HZ=100
export LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO8859-1

Later I did recover that setting the LC_COLLATE to C, is not helping and the program was again taking a lot of time. Few questions that I want to ask are:
1. Can someone please tell me, what each of these variable mean and how these values make a difference.
2. When I exported LC_COLLATE=en_US.ISO8859-1, it worked fine, but when i tried with the defalut value LC_COLLATE=C, then why the program didnt work.
As this issue is still going on, hence I would request All to provide their valuable inputs and let me know as much as possible.

A new development in this regard. The customer has send us a screen shot in which they were trying to export the locale variable using the commands which I have pasted above. I can see in the screen shot that while exporting LC_COLLATE and LC_TYPE, they get a message that ""ksh: export: couldn't set locale correctly"".
Request everyone to please give their inputs as it's a bit urgent.

LC_MONETARY
Specifies monetary formats, including the currency symbol for the locale, thousands separator, sign position, the number of fractional digits, and so forth.
LC_NUMERIC
Specifies the decimal delimiter (or radix character), the thousands separator, and the grouping.
LC_COLLATE
Specifies a collation order and regular expression definition for the locale.
LC_MESSAGES
Specifies the language in which the localized messages are written, and affirmative and negative responses of the locale (yes and no strings and expressions).
You can use command
# locale -k LC_CTYPE
to see more detail about each type.

I am implementing R12 Manager Self Service and creating custom AME rules for routing approvals. Can anyone tell me the steps to create rule for:
1. Change Job in job KFF (What query? Which attribute?)
2. Change Job Title (ass_attribute2 under assignment DFF)
3. Change in Organization field
Also, I have created rule for Leave of Absence. But upon approval, employee's status still showing active for that duration. How to link it with absence approval? This is standalone HR with no Oracle Payroll.

What is the size of your hard disk? PSE 4 is a very old program and I suspect it is not able to access the entire hard disk on your machine. Just a thought here.

I am doing a cover for O.M.G. by usher and it requires 4 to 5 different vocal layers. My first "line" of vocals keeps disappearing even after i save it. So I have to redo everything on the top line. Any help?

For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

It means your Z0CL_BATCLA is not assigned to object CHARGE, you have to create the linke between object and table in the table TCDOB.
You can do it by trx SCDO, but in this case you have to change in standard object.

Error while installation 9.2.4 on OEL -5 ..Urgent help required...

Hi Friends,
I am in the process of installation oracle 9i on OEL 5. I have sucessfully installed the software 9.2.4 but I am getting error while creating the database with dbca. I have installed all the libraries which were required for successful installation.
While starting the dbca I am getting the following error. I have tried all the options which are available on google/ open forms. I also applied the patch p3006854_9204_LINUX.zip but still I am getting the error. I know I may be missing something. Any expert can help me out please ?

As mentioned already, OEL 5 is pretty new as compared to the 9i version that you are trying to install over it. So the chances that you would get a working database are very negligible here. That said, why you are installing 9i ? Why not 10g/11g?

Java Mail,SMTP server not starting,help required urgently

Hi i have been working on java mail .Yesterday it was working ok but today suddenely i am getting this thing.its not starting the smtp server i guess,just exiting and get the command prompt ..dont know what to do.help required how to go about this error

The debug output doesn't show an obvious problem. You're
going to have to actually debug your program. A debugger
might be helpful.
