Header and footer diplayed two times...

Hi All.
I have a problem that header and footer are displayed two times. I have two header jsp's one is header.jsp and the other one is header1.jsp.
Firstly I used this shell which displayed just one header.jsp in the header panel....
<netuix:markupDefinition
xmlns:netuix="http://www.bea.com/servers/netuix/xsd/controls/netuix/1.0.0"
xmlns:html="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml-netuix-modified/1.0.0"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.bea.com/servers/netuix/xsd/controls/netuix/1.0.0 markup-netuix-1_0_0.xsd">
<netuix:locale language="en"/>
<netuix:markup>
<netuix:shell
title="Left-Pane-Header-Footer Shell" description="A header, footer and left pane included in this shell." markupType="Shell" markupName="leftPaneHeaderFooter">
<netuix:head/>
<netuix:body>
<netuix:header/>
<netuix:footer/>
</netuix:body>
</netuix:shell>
</netuix:markup>
</netuix:markupDefinition>
but now I changed shell to
<netuix:markupDefinition xmlns:netuix="http://www.bea.com/servers/netuix/xsd/controls/netuix/1.0.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.bea.com/servers/netuix/xsd/controls/netuix/1.0.0 markup-netuix-1_0_0.xsd">
<netuix:locale language="en"/>
<netuix:markup>
<netuix:shell
title="PAS Request Shell" description="A header and footer is included in this shell." markupType="Shell" markupName="headerFooter">
<netuix:head/>
<netuix:body>
<netuix:header>
<netuix:jspContent contentUri="/jsp/header1.jsp" errorUri="/error.jsp" />
</netuix:header>
<netuix:break/>
<netuix:footer>
<netuix:jspContent contentUri="/jsp/footer1.jsp" errorUri="/error.jsp"/>
</netuix:footer>
</netuix:body>
</netuix:shell>
</netuix:markup>
</netuix:markupDefinition>
and now header.jsp and also header1.jsp is dispalyed in the header panel. No where I am using header.jsp in the new shell but it is displayed.
Same problem with footer too.
Is anyone aware of this issue. How can get rid of this duplication?
Thanks.
Pradeep Peddi.

this is the content of headerFooter.shell

<netuix:body>
<netuix:header/>
<netuix:break/>
<netuix:footer/>
</netuix:body>
</netuix:shell>
</netuix:markup>
</netuix:markupDefinition>
Thanks.

    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

    Go to the "File" menu, then "Print." The window that appears will have three drop-down menus at the top.
    The first is labeled "Printer",
    The second is "Presets".
    The third is unlabeled but has "Copies & Pages" selected by default.
    Click on that third menu and select "Firefox" near the bottom of the list.

  • Problem in displaying header and footer in RTF template..

    Hi all,
    How to display first "n" number of pages with one set of header and footer and the next "m" number of pages with other set of header and footer?

    we can try doing this,...
    but not based on page number ,
    page number will not be available during this time, it will generated during the rendering time, so the condition of Page number may not help,
    if we can find a way to identify the logic to display FOOTER A or B in the page based on something else, wee can do that..
    create a two named templateA and B , and call them according to the logic to b displayed.

    Hi there
    Display your Topic List pod. Press Ctrl+A to select all the topics. Then right-click the selection and choose Properties. From the Properties dialog click the General tab. There you may choose the Template/Master Page. When you click OK all the topics should now be associated with the Template/Master Page.

  • Disappearing header and footer

    I have a problem that has only recently started to happen. We
    are running x5 and have two projects that are virtually identical.
    In fact one started off as a copy of the other. Now when a topic is
    imported from one project into the other the header and footer
    disappear. This did not happen previsouly.
    Does anyone know what may be causing this?

    That's correct. When an author makes a major revison to the
    technical content they change the date in the header.
    We have a number of authors and the project provides help to
    users both in GB and Northern Ireland so there is a good quantity
    of tagged content. We had loads of issues with authors not tagging
    content correctly and web helps being produced with part completed
    topics. So we have a development project where all the work is done
    and a live project that the tech support import completed topics
    into and use for generation of the four outputs. Complicated I know
    but it designs out some user error issues.
    We had some source control issues and had to create a new DB
    for the live project. It is not certain but it appears either at
    that time or arouond then the header issue appeared. (we are hoping
    to move to RH7 ASAP as DB errors are too comon at present). One of
    my team created the new database and I had assumed this could not
    be the issue as it is such a simple task. I can't understand why if
    HTML code is stripped from a topic it is only the header and
    footer. It's not just the content it's the whole thing.
    I'm sure some numpty has changed a setting somewhere but I
    can't see it!

  • Resetting Header and Footer in RTF templates

    Hi,
    I developed an RTF template (template 1). This template contains start:body and end body for printing the header and footer in all pages. After printing this template then i have to call another template(template 2) from this. I called the template (template 2) using call statement. But the probelm is that the header and footer of template1 is printed in the output of template2 .
    I dont want to print this header and footer for template 2. Can anyone please suggest me in doing this. I placed start:body and end body in the second template with the assumption that 1st template's header and footer will be overwritten. But if i preview then am getting the error
    Font Dir: C:\Program Files\Oracle\XML Publisher Desktop\Template Builder for Word\fonts
    Run XDO Start
    RTFProcessor setLocale: en-us
    FOProcessor setData: C:\Documents and Settings\kpoda\Desktop\Invoice Printing Efficiencies\Sample XML Data\Sample Output4.xml
    FOProcessor setLocale: en-us
    each
    Please sugget.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Do you have two templates (template1 & template2) that you want to display in the same document where the pages for template1 has one set of header and footers; and template2 has another set of header and footer?
    If that is the case you can simply create a new section in your rtf template so you have section1 and section2.
    In the body of section1 you call template1 and template2 in the body of section2.
    You can then have different header and footers for the two templates in the same document.

  • Master Page Header and Footer in Page Viewer Web Part

    Hi.
    I created a View in Pages Library to view specific folders.
    After that i added one Page Viewer web part to one of the aspx page.
    There in the Page Viewer web part properties Link i have provided the url of the view.
    It is displaying the folders but at the same time it is displaying the master page header and footer inside the web part.
    Now i need to display the folders alone inside the Page Viewer web part.
    Please let me know how to exclude the master page header and footer inside the Page Viewer web part?
    Regards,
    Sudheer
    Thanks & Regards, Sudheer

    I think that is the default behavior of the page viewer webpart.
    In the page viewer web part,your just enter the url of the website.So that is treated as webpage and it is displaying as per page.
    http://meritsolutions.com/meritmatters/archives/576-Displaying-a-File,-Folder-or-Web-Page-in-the-Page-Viewer-Web-Part.html
    If you want to display a folder, type in a network path to that folder under Link and the folder content will be displayed.
    Find the more details about page viewer webpart in msdn

  • Bypass Header and Footer in Excel output

    I have a Requirement like this
    I need to have the report output in the below three formats
    PDF,EXCEL,HTML
    But when we see the ouput in EXcel it should not have the Footer and Header Scetion ,
    remaining two output formats (PDF,HTML) must have the Footer and Header Section.
    Any one having any idea about this issue.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Have a Nice day.

    Hi @BIPuser.
    I said the same thing to them but they said no that is final option but we need only single template for all the outputs alos it should handle the bypassing of header and footer for excel output.
    Thanks for your reply, If i come across anything i will let u know.

  • Page Header and Footer in Printer Friendly mode

    Hi,
    I have a report which has more than 500 rows and I want to print them.
    The printer friendly mode works fine, but is it possible that there is a page "header" and "footer" on every page which is printed?
    For example, that the column headings are on every page which was printed?
    Or that at the bottom of each page is the page number displayed?
    Does anyone have an idea?
    Thanks,
    Tim

    IE and Firefox are designed for WEB pages.
    WEB pages are on Internet. Security is important and browser should not compromise user to use it.
    Many users=Many printers!
    If you want to write app for especially one printer and know users (Intranet application) then here is what you can do:
    1) Use IE
    2) write your own ocx with interface for your needs.
    3) every user should implement this ocx in their browser.
    4) When they accept your ocx, then in this "small app" you could do as much as this user can do on their own windows. So setting printer, orientation and size is a peace of cake.
    5) make your report regarding this printer
    And this is it!
    And few other things...
    If user choose larger font then your HTML is broken!!!
    For that I think that PL/PDF or Mail merge is better solution!

  • Customizing header and footer in the printed documentation

    Hi,
    I'm using a trial version of RoboHelp 2007 and Word 2003.
    I have two question about customizing the header and footer
    of the printed documentation.
    In the printed documentation the footer repeat at the bottom
    of each page and contain page numbers, which appear left-justified
    on even-numbered pages and right-justified on odd-numbered pages.
    How can I customize the footer, that pages numbers appear
    always right-justified?
    In the printed documentation the header repeat at the top of
    each page and are blank on the first page of sections. The name of
    the manual appears on even-numbered pages, left-justified. The name
    of the root chapter appears on odd-numbered pages, right-justified.
    How can I customize the header, that
    on every page the name of the root chapter and the name oft
    the manual appears? Furhermore I want to include a picture in the
    header. How can I realise this?

    You can't from RH. See the article on my site.
    Images in the header are tricky. If you use the setting that
    I think enables that, you will also get the images in the TOC. Try
    putting a two cell table and putting the heading in one and the
    image in another.

  • Header and Footer in Block ALV Display

    Hi All,
    My requirement includes to ALV Block List Display with header and footer.
    I have made two forms TOP_OF_PAGE and END_OF_PAGE . I have pass the form and name of event to an internal table it_events.
    This it_events[] is then passed to FM ' REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND' . But only Top of Page is working.
    Am I missing any thing in the code? or I have to use something else.
    Pls Help

    Hi,
    For end_of_page you need to use Events as follows:

           wa_event TYPE slis_alv_event.
    *&      Form  BUILD_EVENTCAT

      READ TABLE it_event INTO wa_event WITH KEY name = 'END_OF_LIST'.

  • Header and Footer in not displaying correctly on each page in Adobe Forms

    Hi experts,
       I need your little help on Adobe Form.  I have develop a customer account statement and facing problem.
         In header and footer part I have to display customer address. It is ok if data is of one page. But when data is overflowing, customer address is showing only at first page in header, and not displaying address neither in header nor in footer(footer section will print on last page, it may be either first page or third page ) on other pages. (Address is table type data )
           Header and footer Section address has been designed on Master Page.
    Please help me to resolve these two problems as soon as possible.
    Regards
    Piyush

    I found this post which I hope helps:
    This can be done by bit of tweaking using JavaScript.
    Actually the problem was, the header was printing continuously in subsequent pages and once the header data was over the rest of the pages contained blank header. But we need have to print same header for each group of items till that group of items finish in the specific page. And for new group of items different header will be filled and so on.
    So to overcome this issue, create the item table in such a way that the header data is also included in the item table for each group of items. In the layout, select your header field and the event READY LAYOUT and write the below JavaScript code. This event is called for each page for that header field, so you can directly map the item table value and put it in your header field.
    // Get the current page
    var currpage = xfa.layout.page(this);
    // variable to store number of fields in that page.
    var fields = 0;
    // Get the number of fields
            fields = xfa.layout.pageContent(currpage-1, "field", 0);
    // Loop on each field on the page
            for ( i=0; i<= fields.length-1; i++ )
    // Check if the field is in the item table column (it will be actually header data column in your item table)
                if ( fields.item(i).name == "TL" )
    // Fetch that value and store in your header field.
                           this.rawValue = fields.item(i).rawValue;

  • Strange gaps in Header and Footer

    Im getting gaps in the header and footer on some of my pages.  Sometimes the gaps are filled with the background color of the colomn and other times they are the body color which is even weirder.  An example link would be http://www.mojogar.com/pcRepair.aspx .  In IE8 I get a gap on top but not  the bottom.  In Firefox3 the gap is on the bottom and not the top.  ???

    /* Tips for this Hybrid layout
    1. Since the side columns em-based sizing is based on the user's default font size, you will want to be sure that background graphics in the columns take that into account. Built correctly, this is more accessible for those that need larger font sizes, since the width of the columns remains proportionate. If this is undesirable with your design, simply change the width to a pixel size and be sure to change the margins on the #mainContent div accordingly.
    2. Since the sizing of side columns in this layout are based on the 100% font size in the body element, if you decrease the text size overall by using a font-size: 80% on the body element or the #container, remember that the column widths will downsize proportionately. You may want to increase their widths, and the size of the #mainContent div's side margins, to compensate for this.
    3. If font sizing is changed in differing amounts on each div instead of on the overall design (ie: #sidebar1 is given a 70% font size and #mainContent is given an 85% font size), this will proportionately change each of the divs overall size. You may want to adjust based on your final font sizing.
    4. The #container div is not necessary for this layout at the 100% width. You may want to use it to create faux columns or limit the width of the layout.
    5. It is not neccessary to have the 100% width on the #container div since, by nature, a div takes up 100% of the available space. It is here so that if you want to decrease the size of the overall container - perhaps leaving a bit of margin on each side - this will already be available for adjustment.
    .thrColHybHdr #container {
    width: 780px;
    /*margin: 0 auto;  the auto margins (in conjunction with a width) center the page if needed */
    text-align: left;
    padding: 0px;
    margin-top: 0px;
    margin-right: auto;
    margin-bottom: 0px;
    margin-left: auto;
    .thrColHybHdr #header {
    background-color: #C9F76F;
    height: 100%;
    width: 780px;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0px;
    .thrColHybHdr #header h1 {
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0px;
    /* Tips for sidebar1:
    1. Be aware that if you set a font-size value on this div, the overall width of the div will be adjusted accordingly.
    2. Since we are working in ems, it's best not to use padding on the sidebar itself. It will be added to the width for standards compliant browsers creating an unknown actual width.
    3. Space between the side of the div and the elements within it can be created by placing a left and right margin on those elements as seen in the ".thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 p" rule.
    .thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 {
    width: 13em;
    border-top-width: thick;
    border-top-style: solid;
    border-top-color: #C06;
    float: left;
    height: auto;
    .thrColHybHdr #sidebar2 {
    width: 200px;
    text-align: center;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0px;
    float: right;
    /*.thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 h3, .thrColHybHdr #sidebar1 p, .thrColHybHdr #sidebar2 p, .thrColHybHdr #sidebar2 h3 {
    margin-left: 0px;*/ /* the left and right margin should be given to every element that will be placed in the side columns */
    /* margin-right: 0px;
    /* Tips for mainContent:
    1. If you give this #mainContent div a font-size value different than the #sidebar1 div, the margins of the #mainContent div will be based on its font-size and the width of the #sidebar1 div will be based on its font-size. You may wish to adjust the values of these divs.
    2. The space between the mainContent and sidebar1 is created with the left margin on the mainContent div.  No matter how much content the sidebar1 div contains, the column space will remain. You can remove this left margin if you want the #mainContent div's text to fill the #sidebar1 space when the content in #sidebar1 ends.
    3. To avoid float drop, you may need to test to determine the approximate maximum image/element size since this layout is based on the user's font sizing combined with the values you set. However, if the user has their browser font size set lower than normal, less space will be available in the #mainContent div than you may see on testing.
    4. In the Internet Explorer Conditional Comment below, the zoom property is used to give the mainContent "hasLayout." This avoids several IE-specific bugs that may occur.
    .thrColHybHdr #mainContent {
    text-align: center;
    margin-right: 0px;
    margin-top: 0px;

    .MarginTopZero {
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0px;
    .busConslt {
    height: 600px;
    width: 800px;
    .idea {
    height: auto;
    width: 100%;
    .thrColHybHdr #footer {
    padding: 0;
    background-color: #C9F76F;
    margin: 0px;
    .thrColHybHdr #footer p {
    margin: 0; /* zeroing the margins of the first element in the footer will avoid the possibility of margin collapse - a space between divs */

    Your HTML code contains conditional comments for IE.  Try reducing or removing the extra padding and see if that helps.
    /* place css fixes for all versions of IE in this conditional comment */
    .thrColHybHdr  #sidebar1, .thrColHybHdr #sidebar2 { padding-top: 30px; }
    .thrColHybHdr  #mainContent { zoom: 1; padding-top: 15px; }
    /* the above  proprietary zoom property gives IE the hasLayout it needs to avoid  several bugs */
    </style>

    Hi ,

    The above code genrates a PDF for me however it genrates a file with file size zero bytes and does not open it following is my sample code
    //**********Any Help would be appreciated
    Thank You
    public class My_Class
    public String pdf_action()
    EndPage ep=new EndPage();
    return null;
    }//My_class Ends
    class EndPage extends PdfPageEventHelper
    * Demonstrates the use of PageEvents.
    * @param args no arguments needed
    public EndPage()
    try {
    com.lowagie.text.Document document = new Document(PageSize.A4, 50, 50, 70, 70);
    PdfWriter writer = PdfWriter.getInstance(document, new FileOutputStream("D://proposals/endpage.pdf"));
    writer.setPageEvent(new EndPage());
    document.open();
    String text = "Lots of text. ";
    for (int k = 0; k < 10; ++k)
    text += text;
    document.add(new Paragraph(text));
    document.close();
    catch (Exception de) {
    de.printStackTrace();
    public void onEndPage(PdfWriter writer, Document document) {
    try {
    Rectangle page = document.getPageSize();
    PdfPTable head = new PdfPTable(3);
    for (int k = 1; k <= 6; ++k)
    head.addCell("head " + k);
    head.setTotalWidth(page.width() - document.leftMargin() - document.rightMargin());
    head.writeSelectedRows(0, -1, document.leftMargin(), page.height() - document.topMargin() + head.getTotalHeight(),
    writer.getDirectContent());
    PdfPTable foot = new PdfPTable(3);
    for (int k = 1; k <= 6; ++k)
    foot.addCell("foot " + k);
    foot.setTotalWidth(page.width() - document.leftMargin() - document.rightMargin());
    foot.writeSelectedRows(0, -1, document.leftMargin(), document.bottomMargin(),
    writer.getDirectContent());
    catch (Exception e) {
    throw new ExceptionConverter(e);
    }

    Hi,
    Thanks for the quick response.
    The problem is that when I keep the logo as a watermark, the pdf is not adjusting itself to include the logo as header.
    But if I add a header text via Tools -> Headers and Footers, the pdf is adjusting itself so that the header text is at the beginning , not overlapping with the contents of pdf.
    But while using logo as watermark, some times overlapping of the pdf contents and logo is happening.
    Is there any way to add a logo in the Header and Footer via the option in Tools -> Headers and Footers
    Thanks,
    Vidhya

    Hi there
    Display your Topic List pod. Press Ctrl+A to select all the topics. Then right-click the selection and choose Properties. From the Properties dialog click the General tab. There you may choose the Template/Master Page. When you click OK all the topics should now be associated with the Template/Master Page.
    Cheers... Rick
