Header and Footer in BEX reporting

Hai friends,
     could you plz tell me how to add Header and Footer in Bex report.. that means.. i want some my company name and address should print on the top of the report..
and also.. in the Footer. i want to display the Number of records are selected...
Ex :
   XYZ ORGANIZATION
   #301, ITPL,
   BANGALORE.
4 Records are selected
so, plz give me the solution .... how to   design a query with this requirement

Hi Ajay,
Refer to web tempaltes 0adhoc_header and 0adhoc_Footer , by changing this you should be able to display header and footer for each query out of BW server.

I have just created a narrative report and all looks good but when I do a print preview, it shows the form name in the upper left and Page 1 of 1. The bottom of the form, footer, shows the url and the current date. Is it possible to hide or remove this?

Hi !
This is not related to CRM OnDemand and your report. This is a printer configuration.
In your browser, go to File > Layout and you'll see header and footer fields. Just blank them and your printed page won't have header and footer. For IE having the date and url in the footer and the page title in the header is a standard setting...

Remove Header and Footer from a report

I use the report S_ALR_87012104. But I want to export this report removing the header and footer. Is it possible to export the report excluding header and footer. That is line items only.

It is possbile but not suggested to change a standard SAP report. but you may change it via abaper.

Last Page Header and Footer in XML Report

I have one requirement , where except last page for an invoice, all other pages should have one header.
Last page should have nothing header and in Body some information(Total details) should be displayed and in footer terms and conditions should be displayed.
if one page is there for invoice , in second page (total details) and terms and conditions should be displayed.
Any one who already faced this issue please suggest how can proceed for requirements

I need a large footer to appear at the bottom of the last page
I have made a section break: new page
I have created a field with the contents <?start@last-page-first:body?><?end body?>
I have run the report to create an RTF file and the last page footer appears on all the pages
But if I run it to PDF the footer does the right thing and only appears on the last page
If I create a Powerpoint document it works OK
It only fails in the format that I require, RTF?
Any ideas how to fix this?

Header and footer of RTF template not getting carried over to Excel output

We have Header and Footer in RTF template defined. The output of the report will be in Excel. When we run the report, the header and footer on the report are not getting carried over to excel has header and footer, instead the header and footer are printed as first line on the excel. Also, the RTF template is set to landscape but when the output is generated in excel, it is set to Portrait

How to create Header and Footer template

Hi,
I am wondering if this is possible, if yes , can some help me please?
At present we have preprinted stationary for invoices and now the plan is to get rid of preprinted stationary and print header and footer via oracle reports directly. The address on header has to be dynamic because our organization has multiple offices across various countries. I am wondering if its possible to create a separate report only with a header and footer and reference it in other reports so that when printed both are merged and presented as single invoice. My reports knowledge is around basic level but i am good at plsql , if someone hear can please guide me HOW TO implement this logic I will be very grateful.
We are using Oracle reports 6

Hello,
You can set the header and footer dynamically.
In the report layout section. There is one option called Edit Margin beside the Help iconic button.
When you will press that button Edit Margin it will open for the new look your report fields and frames inside the black dense lined frame. So at the top of that main frame you can set the Header and same at the bottom you can set the Footer.
And in your case if you want to set dynamic. Then while running the report. Send the dynamic values into the parameters and when you will create field in layout section Header/Footer then set the source as parameter which you passed. So, it will change dynamically.

Hi,
You can copy the sheet to another one (so the OLAP functionality is not there) and can insert a header and footer like you would normally do in a excel workbook. Hopefully this is helpful. If so, please assign points.

HST6.0 Header and footer in reports

Hi,
We have an application generated from designer 1.3.2 using Headstart, and now we need to upgrade that one to designer 6.0, Everyting works ok with the forms but when we try to generate reports we don't get any header and footer. I have looked into the demo application in Headstart and found 2 reports with header and footer but I can't figure out how to generate this from Designer.

These fragments might fall under the category of "other", as an example, there is a copyright fragment in the Other tab of the fragment toolbox window. You could copy that and enhance it to make your footer.

Repeating Header and Footer on each page in Sub-Report

I am formatting a report that has subreports. I can get the header on every page, but the footer only appears on the last page.
How do I get a header and footer to print on each page of the subreport?

Hi,
You should add a first level of grouping in your subreport on a fake formula field with a constant value. Put your header and footer information in this group header and footer. In the group option make sure to check the "repeat group header on each page option".
This group will act as a page header + footer within your subreport.

of course this is possible. paint your first desidered header/footer, place it in frame and add format trigger on this frame to display it when you want it, otherswise return false. the same is for other possible headers/footers. then place all those frames on same position. look at conditions to display only one header/footer at a time :)
or seccond (in case of simplier structure) is to place in header/footer only one bolierplate text with value f.e. &p_footer and then send value you want to see in footer n parameter p_footer ...

My report got FROM PO & TO PO parameters and i need to print footer only in first page of each PO. Tried with section but now i am getting first page of all PO contionious and then all lines together.

Bypass Header and Footer in Excel output

I have a Requirement like this
I need to have the report output in the below three formats
PDF,EXCEL,HTML
But when we see the ouput in EXcel it should not have the Footer and Header Scetion ,
remaining two output formats (PDF,HTML) must have the Footer and Header Section.
Any one having any idea about this issue.

I said the same thing to them but they said no that is final option but we need only single template for all the outputs alos it should handle the bypassing of header and footer for excel output.

Page Header and Footer in Printer Friendly mode

Hi,
I have a report which has more than 500 rows and I want to print them.
The printer friendly mode works fine, but is it possible that there is a page "header" and "footer" on every page which is printed?
For example, that the column headings are on every page which was printed?
Or that at the bottom of each page is the page number displayed?
Does anyone have an idea?

IE and Firefox are designed for WEB pages.
WEB pages are on Internet. Security is important and browser should not compromise user to use it.
Many users=Many printers!
If you want to write app for especially one printer and know users (Intranet application) then here is what you can do:
1) Use IE
2) write your own ocx with interface for your needs.
3) every user should implement this ocx in their browser.
4) When they accept your ocx, then in this "small app" you could do as much as this user can do on their own windows. So setting printer, orientation and size is a peace of cake.
5) make your report regarding this printer
And this is it!
And few other things...
If user choose larger font then your HTML is broken!!!
For that I think that PL/PDF or Mail merge is better solution!

Set header and footer in word file

Through jsp file I am printing contents in word doc .
response.setHeader("content-disposition","attachment; filename = filename.doc");
But I am not able to print header and footer in word doc.
In jsp I am having tabular format for generating star report.
