Export Crosstab to Excel : Header Columns repeated for each page !
Post Author: maagik
CA Forum: Exporting
Hello,
I work with CR 10 and I want to export a crosstab to excel through the api included in VS2005. I choose an export standard. The excel file is right generated BUT in each page break, the header columns are repeated. I don't want to have the header colums because users made some post calculation in the generated files. Does anybody have an idea to remove it ?Hi Kranthi
You can try exporting your report to Excel Data only format as it retains the column width.
While exporting apply the options like Maintain Column Width etc (as per your requirement).
Hope this helps!!

Pages paragraph headings repeating for each page
The heading for my doc is repeated at the top of each page, when I only want it on the first page. How do I limit a heading to the first page?
Insert a Section Break at the end of page 1 and set the subsequent pages to not Continue on from Previous.

I have insert an image in the main section it reapeats for every page.
If I insert the image in the header it display on the fisrt page..without any data
I want to display the image just on the first page of the output. How do I do that???Create a field , say field_a in your layout and give it a source of page number. Make it invisible.
In the format trigger for the image try this code:
if :field_a = 1 then return(true)
else
return (true);
end if;
Good luck -
Add different header for each page
We are using RTF templates to create XML Letters.
1) Is it possible to have different header for each page?
2) Can we have a data filed column in the header?
Thanks,Ha ha, Thanks, that is exactly what I needed! How perfectly obvious, but somehow easy to miss! Thanks so much.

RTF Header Rows Repeat in eBus BI Publisher (5.6.3)
Hi,
I have been struggling to get the Header Rows Repeat functionality working when generating RTF output with the eBus integrated BI Publisher - currently eBus 11.5.10.2 with ATG H RUP 7. The "How to Determine the Version of Oracle XML Publisher for Oracle E-Business Suite 11i and Release 12" Note (362496.1) doesn't provide anything more specific than 5.6.3. Based on the "Naming and Versioning" sticky note from Tim, I think this is equivalent to 10.1.3.2.
According to http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10415_01/doc/bi.1013/e10416/bip_misc_101333.htm, this functionality is not available until BI Publisher 10.1.3.3.3.
To "Overview of Available Patches for Oracle XML Publisher (embedded in Oracle E-Business Suite)" Note (1138602.1) does not list any stand alone patch which seems to be refer to this functionality.
Can someone tell me if this Header Rows Repeat in RTF output functionality available with the eBus integrated BI Publisher? Or do I need to log an SR?

Edited by: thefurryone on Sep 14, 2010 5:01 PMHi Tim,
Thanks for that - the 7487412 readme doesn't say anything about the RTF header bug fix being included, but the Bugs Resolved by this Patch lists 6270261 (ER: RTF Output to support set Table Header Report, Table Row Keep-Together).
Patch # 7487412 is only available in R12, but with the specific ER number, I was able to find Note # 861915.1 (I couldn't it find with my keyword search) and this note indicates that 11i patch # 7702372 should resolve the problem for me in 11i (and it's readme explicitly documents 6270261 as being fixed by the patch).
Thanks again,

Header Row Repeating Erratically
Hi,
I have a problem with a dynamic table using Adobe Lifecycle Designer 8.0 and Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.0.
The table starts with a header row and a single row. The user can add additional rows and the table flows onto multiple pages. Everything appears OK, but when EITHER the user goes back to page 1 or if the user closes and reopens the file, there can be multiple header rows repeated on page 1. Sometimes there might only be 2 header rows, but other times there can be upwards of seven header rows one on top of the other.
This is wrecking the layout and my head. Has anyone had similar problems or could give me a direction as to where I am going wrong.
Thanks in advance.
NiallHi,
I am facing the same issue.
My table header has 2-3 rows of data...the data is populated dynamically. The text fields are set to expand, so I have to make the subforms to flowed.
As soon as I set the subforms to Flowed...evrything overlaps on the second page.
Please help.

Dedicated Layers for each Page.
I would like to see dedicated layers for each page. As it is right now the layers span across every page. If you make a layer on the home page as say "home header" it shows up as a layer on say the contact page, where it is completely useless and can cause confusion and clutter. This is a basic example but often I have multiple layers on one page and only need one or two on a different page and find I'm getting them confused from one page to the next and causing unnecessary clutter and confusion. If each page had dedicated layers for its content then it would be much easier to stay organized and provide a better user experience and more effectiant updating of info for each page.
Daniel Flavin wrote:
It's not, and each time (yesterday in fact) I've thought how nifty it would be to use layers in this fashion, I've killed time. Layers are document wide. You're choice is to create a pdf with layers enabled for client reviews, but than I realized they wouldn't understand how to mainipulate layers in Acrobat, and I couldn't formulate less than a one hundred word tutorial.
It's possible to make buttons in InDesign that show/hide layers (and perform other actions like page navigation, etc.) in PDF documents. No user tutorials would be needed with informative text labels on the buttons.

Fbl5n: The printer provides me only one customer items for each page...
Hi all,
launching t.code FBL5N, and printing the repost list, the printer provides me only one customer items for each page...
I'd like obtaining more customer items for each page...
What to do?
ThanksHi Umberto..
Thats how the standard report works..
To meet your requirement, you would probably need to look at another standard report.
In case you need further clarification, please feel free to write to me..
Good Luck!

How to print multiple footers for each page in RTF template xml report.
Hi,
How to print multiple footers for each page in RTF template xml report.
i am able to print ( two sets ) ...
up to last page ( one template ) and for last page ( another template).
i want to change the footer information based on the group value printed in the report ( it might be 5 to 6) In every report run.. can you please check and let me know do we have any feasibility to achieve this.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
KAP.You can remove all other logic, like last page only contents (start@last-page:body), etc and section breaks if any you have inserted manually.
Just have for-each@section logic.
It would be difficult for me to guess what you have done without looking at your RTF or describing here. -
IWeb Tiled Image Background Loads for Each Page
My site Ostyn-Newman.com uses a black template. I have an image that I tile for the background as well as for the browser background. They are the same image. IWeb seems to do two things that make my site slow way down. IWeb
1) Treats the browser background image and site background image as two images even though they are identical. This makes for 2x the downloading necessary to fill the backgrounds. The files are identical except for the file names.
2) Creates image files for each page even though each page has identical browser and webpage backgrounds. This means that on a 1000 page site, there are 2000 copies of the same image that could be reduced to 1 if they could be shared. This would make for a much faster experience for our site viewers.
Any ideas on how to make this happen? I'm confounded. I also have many small logos that I use dozens of time on the same page and IWeb creates a different image for each one. You can see what I mean here http://ostyn-newman.com/Gov_Fabrics.html No big deal since each one is only a couple kb, but when you do that with 8 logos and each of those 8 is on a page 300 times, it starts to add up. These examples are different but similar. I'd love to figure out how to get IWeb to create and use common image resources. I'm not html savvy, but I am fairly familiar with inserting snippets of code here and there via the Insert/Widget/HTML Snippet function to get done what I want to get done. Thank you for the help.
As an aside, I have explored creating a custom template using my image, but that has proved to be a bit more complex than I am capable of. Is there a template that allows me to put my image in as the background? That would take care of everything for me.Your Govt Fabrics and Leather page contains 1746 files that must be loaded for that page.
It took me nearly 30 seconds to load your page entirely with Safari over a very fast internet connection. Firefox took about the same, maybe a few seconds quicker and Chrome 24 seconds.
There seems to be 3 distinct sets of identifying images below the samples:
, and
To reduce the number of individual files to be loaded why not create 3 images, one with the 4 items, one with the 3 items, one with the 5 items and use them instead of using individual images under each sample. That will greatly down on the number offiles needed to be loaded.
Also using more than one page to display the samples would make each indivicual page load so much quicker than all on one page.
These are just some food for thought.
