Heading on final line of a page

I've just finished writing an essay in Pages 5.0 on my Mac. In two instances I happened to have headings that were on the final line of a page (as in there was a heading and then the following paragraph started on the next page). Since this looks quite strange I put a blank line above the heading to force it onto the next page. Is there a way to setup a heading style so that it is can't be the final line on the page, or so that it is somehow connected with the following paragraph (which is in a body style)?

Frankly it took me a while to hunt it out, in the new improved Contectual UI, and I'm pretty familiar with all the old hiding places.

I'm printing a form which contains a lot of tables. Sometimes while printing the table header line remains at the bootom of the page and the lines of internal table are printed on the next page (also with header because i have marked 'at page break' in the header). How is it possible not to break header line of 'Table'-node and the first line of internal table?

Hello Niki,
try to use page protection......
create a folder and place the text that r to be displayed without break.........
and check the checkbox page protection.
I think you cannot put an entire table in a folder & turn "Page Protection" on simultaneously.
Any ideas?

Why first & last lines in each page in pdf is exported to WORD as a Header/footer?

Similarly, when exporting a pdf file to Excel, the first and last lines in each page of the PDF do not get exported to EXCEL?

Avoid printing Header and Footer in the last page

Hi,
Could anyone please let me know how to avoid print the header and footer in the last page?

My report got FROM PO & TO PO parameters and i need to print footer only in first page of each PO. Tried with section but now i am getting first page of all PO contionious and then all lines together.

How to find out the Last line of a page in Smart forms

Hi Experts,
I need to find out the last line of a page in smartforms.
I have Heading in a text element and its text in another text element.
If the heading falls in the last line, its contents will be displayed in the next page. I want to print the heading in the next page.

You can put both the heading and contents in a Folder node and check the page protection checkbox of the Folder node. This way both will be displayed on the same page always.

Inserting a new extension field in the line item details page

Hi!
Is it possible to insert an extension field/collection in the line item details page of the master agreement? I have tried supplying several Field ID found on that page on the DISPLAY AFTER field of the extension, but nothing works - the new field still gets displayed at the header page.

Hi,
Line Item is an independent class. You cant add an extension to Line Item through Master Agreement. This is the reason why the extension you add appears on the header tab of Master Agreement.
When I go to create an extension definition, I don't find Line Item in the drop down of Extended Class Name. So, my guess would be that we cannot create an extension definition for Line Items.
Let us know if you, or anybody, has a way to achieve it.

Print Detail Lines on One Page?

Hi Friends
I am creating xml template for Printed Purchase Order Report in Potrait Style.
If the Detail Lines are more than 2, the third one is going to next page.
I want all the Information Including Header and Detail LInes to be printed in one Page( as the Ever Green Output )?
Any help on this.. where to set the Table or row Properties or any code to be added?

Header table to repeat on every page

Hi,
 I have requirement and might be a common one. I have to built an rtf template for Purchase orders to output in pdf.I have a header table and detail table in the template. If there are more detail records the detail table get extended to next page but not the header. I have coded something like below:
for-each: g_header
 <header_table>
for-each: g_lines
 <detail_table>
end for-each
end for-each
If i change to something like below:
for-each: g_header
for-each: g_lines
 <header_table>
 <detail_table>
end for-each
end for-each
 it repeats both the tables for every detail line. I want the header section to repeat on every page. i think, this is a general issue. If anyone knows anything, Please help.

I am developing a PDF report with 4 levels of data.
Levels 1 to 3 contain the header info and Level 4 contains details.
For each new level 1,2,3 member, I want to display in a new page.
When the parent level has more than one child level, I want to repeat parent level info in all pages.
But there is some problem with my RTF template, I couldn't repeat header level in all pages.
I am doing something like below.

How to know whether a line in a list is header / footer / data line?

Dear All,
I have a list with header and footer lines. The lines that contains the actual data has a check box column. Due to the page size I'm using, all of my data will be shown in several pages with each page has header and footer lines.
What I'm doing is to read the check box in each line by using the following code:
DO.
READ LINE sy-index LINE VALUE INTO wa.
IF wa-mark IS NOT INITIAL.
The field 'mark' is the check box field.
The problem here is the header and footer lines are also read by the READ LINE sy-index LINE VALUE INTO wa statement while I want to treat header and footer lines specially.
Is there any way to mark a line as header / footer / data line?

The header and footer should have some standard text. You can check for that.

I am printing an order. But while printing an order I have
a header
main
a footer.
In main I have to print line items. Now while printing line items , my requirement is print ONLY ONE LINE ITEM PER PAGE.
For every page header and footer should repeat.
I am trying with AT NEW command but it is giving error. I am using table to loop on item data table.
Please tell me urgently how to do it.

Hi,
If you want to continue using the table this is what you can do.
Im assuming u only use the table for printing line items
So
Create a loop above the table
Place the table inside the loop.
Uncheck the internal table check box inside the tables Data tab
and copy that looping information into the loop.
After the table, and inside the loop ..place the command node.
Also place whatever data in ther main section of the Table now in the header of the table

How did I get 25 lines on my Pages document?

I am writing a reference page for APA 6th edition and my document has to have one inch margins with a header at the top and have 25 lines per page.... I don't know how to go format that on Pages.

Simple enough: Set your margins to 1 inch in Documents and your text to Line Spacing that gets you 25 lines to the page (use 25 lines of sample text).
What part is causing a problem?

Print final amount in first page cheque in multiple page cheque print

In my company cheque printing is take place via transaction FBZ5( Manual) & FI10( Automatic).
When the No of line Item will more than there will be more than 1 pages and in every page there is cheque at the bottom of the page. In SAP while printing the page it considers only cheque on first page , but in our case final cheque amount appears on last page.
Is there any way ( user exits /configuration ) where we can print final amount of cheque in first page cheque and remaining pages cheques will become void automatically.
Experts I need your valuable suggestion.

this can be informative...
the system field 'sy-linno' is Current row during the list creation.
Counting begins at 1 and includes the page header.
SY-LINNO is set by the output statements:
WRITE, ULINE, SKIP raise SY-LINNO by 1 in the case of a line break.
NEW-LINE raises SY-LINNO by 1.
SKIP TO LINE <lin> sets SY-LINNO to <lin>. If <lin> does not lie between 1 and the page length, the system ignores the statement.
SY-LINCT
Page length of list. SY-LINCT is 0 for a standard list of any length and has a non-zero value for lists with fixed page length.
LINE-COUNT in the statements REPORT, PROGRAM sets SY-LINCT for the current program.
ex: report < rep > line-count 10. this sets sy-linct to 10.

specific.Well, if the correct line separator sequence (by far not always \n) would be used, it does add a new line to the HTML output. Too bad that you don't want to see HTML but formatted text. The BR tag is a formatting element for the displayed text, not a line break in HTML. ;)
