Headphones for Small Ears?

Hi ~ The Earbuds that came with my new Shuffle just won't stay in my ears, even sitting perfectly still. I got the Griffin Earjam Earbuds - even the smallest size is too big for my ears...
I need to find something that will fit really small ears - plus, I would like to find a pair of noise cancelling headphones that I can wear while on the tractor...
I wear sunglasses, so the over-the-ear types probably won't work? Any suggestions?

I bought some Sony MDR-EX71 earphones and they are great. They come with three sizes of rubber buds - small, medium and large. The apple ones are just a tad too large for my ears, but the medium sized buds fit perfectly. The small ones are probably the right size for children's ears and the large ones are probably the right size for someone who fits the apple ones perfectly. They are in-ear so the isolation is great and they are very comfortable.
In addition, the EX71s are white so they match my iPod! You can only get the white ones in the shops in Japan, but if you are elsewhere, you can buy them from audiocubes.com. (the black ones are easily available worldwide however).
Can't recommend audiocubes highly enough - Great service, pretty fast delivery to me in the uk. Can't remember the price, but it was very reasonable and the sound quality is miles ahead of the tinny apple supplied ones.

  • Is the preset for Small Speakers the right one for Headphones?

I am not sure whether I am using the correct preset.

    Ewan,
When it comes to equalizer settings, there really is not right or wrong.
It's a matter of what sounds best to your ears.
That said, the Small Speaker setting boosts the higher frequency and lowers the lower, bass, frequencies. Those setting are probably meant more for small desktop speakers, or your computers built in speakers as opposed to headphones.
I suggest you try out all the presets with your headphones and listen to what makes your music sound best to you. Remember, it all about what sounds best to you.

  • Best headphones for working out? Shure E2C or Bose In ear TriPort?

I want some good headphones for my Nano (2nd gen) while I'm working out (jogging).
My wife gave me the Bose In Ear TriPort for Xmas, and while the sound is very good, the right tends to "loosen up" easily. I can return within 30 days, hence I need opinions on other headphones for working out.
I have read positive reports on the Shure E2C and the Sennheiser MX 70.
Does anybody have any experience using these headphones during workouts? I am looking for great sound but more importantly, a set of in ear phones that stay secure while working out. I do not want heavy bass either.
    All opinions are appreciated.
    Thanks

I have the E2c and they are great. The only caveat I have are the sleeves. It comes with 3 types, flex, soft flex, and foam. They all come in 3 sizes also. The best fit that works for me are the foam. They stay in your ear and provide excellent isolation.
Here is the site to read about them.

  • Recommend over-ear Bluetooth headphones for iPad

I searched the forum and found several threads regarding BT headphone recommendations. Specifically, I am looking for over-ear type headphones as I find earbuds uncomfortable. I'd also like to stay under $100 if possible. So far I have found two sets that look like they might suit my needs & budget--the Motorola MOTOROKR S305 and the Rocketfish RF-MAB2.
Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with these particular headphones? Or do you have any other suggestions? The Sennheiser MM100 looks nice too but it's $150. Thanks!

The Bose aren't Bluetooth as the OP was asking about.
Personally, I got a set of the Jaybird sportsband bluetooth stereo headphones. I read just about everything I could find on BT headsets and settled on these. They work great and come in less than a $100 bucks. The sound is great for the price and you don't have any dangling cords. Paired right up with my iPad no problems.

  • Over ear headphones for iphone4

Over hear headphones for Iphone 4:  I hear audio great and I hear the person I am calling great and they can hear me...but I can't hear my own voice.  Any suggestions?  THX

Thank you for your info.  The headphone I bought is SteelSees Flux headset which was advertised to work with the iphone.  I asked the Steelseries support people and the guy I worked with said it works on his iphone 4.  There isn't something in the iphone to turn on or anything.  I've looked and looked at settings.  It's a complete puzzle.  If there are no other alternatives out there, then I guess I will return them.  Thoughts?  Thanks a lot.  dm

  • Headphones for running/jogging

Any suggestions for headphones that can be used for running/jogging.
    Here's some more detail:
I will use them 50% for running/jogging, 50% for general listening, sometimes on airplanes.
I was looking at the Etymotic ER-6i ($150 retail; $90 online), so that is my target price/quality range.
I am just concerned with ruining higher quality earphones by using them for running, BUT I want a decent-sounding pair for running (i.e. I don't want to just use a second crappy pair).
    Any suggestions welcome. Thanks!

    Hello maxwell:
Thank you for posting this type of question. Believe it or not, I hear questions like this quite often from people. Many people report that the standard issue Apple headphones hurt their ears. Also, these headphones don't tend to stay in your ear as well.
There are many headphones out there that sell for a lot of money, however, it sounds like for what you want them for, you need both a durable, yet portable pair of heaphones. Koss has a set of headphones that will blow your mind. They are basically earplugs with speakers attached to them. I used them in a car full of singing people, and with my iPod at about 1/2 volume, I could barely hear them. They do a great job of blocking out the world around you. Not only to they decrease the noise around you, but the quality of the sound they produce is amazing. I LOVE lifehouse and listen to them all the time. When I bought these headphones I put on some lifehouse, and I realized that ALL the headphones I had ever listened to had cut out some of the sounds in the songs. They were small things, but really high sounds, and really low sounds both come through on these headphones - something I really like. They are also the ONLY earbuds I have ever heard that have any good bass. Of course they aren't like having a subwoofer, but they are the next best thing. The cost, well, don't let it scare you into thinking they aren't good.

  • Headphones for Apple Lossless

Hi, I am wondering what headphones would be best to use on an ipod touch with apple lossless.
By using apple lossless I obviously want a faithful reproduction of the original and to get the best out of it.

I have been very happy with the headphones that I have. One is the [*_Bose Quiet Comfort 15*|http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_online/headphones/noise_cancelling_he adphones/quietcomfort15/index.jsp] and the other is [*_Beats By Dr Dre Studio_*|http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=3808]. I like them both however prefer the Bose for comfort and quality.
For in-ear headphones I prefer the [*_Klipsch Image S4_*|http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/image-s4-reviews> which do an excellent job in renditioning the audio as intended by the producer.
Look all of the above up on the internet for reviews and you should be able to come to a well informed decision.

  • Bluetooth Headphones for Sport (BH-503 or other......

    Hi there,
I need some new headphones for my Nokia N79 and thought I might try for some wireless ones. I like the look of the Nokia NH-503 ones. They're nice looking, have nothing that hangs round your neck like there are on most wireless headphones and they look like they clip on your ear for stability when jogging or something. I looked at the compatibility list and the N79 isn't on there. I emailed Nokia who confirmed that the BH-503 is not compatible with the N79 much to my shock and awe. I find this completely ridiculous. I was pointed in the direction of several innapropriate, ugly or expensive alternatives like the 504, 103, 903 and 604.
Does anyone know if the BH-503 is actually compatible and that Nokia just haven't tested it so are saying it isn't?
Looks like I'll be going for some wired non-Nokia branded headphones if not, which sort of sucks, I think.
    Thanks,
    Nick.

Just in case anyone is interested, the Nokia BH-503 Bluetooth Headphone DO WORK with the Nokia N79 despite what Nokia UK have told me. I took the plunge and purchased them after being sure they should work based on the Tech Specs I've found and lo and behold they do. Amazing. They're excellent headphones and I'd highly recommend them!

  • Best replacement Headphones for ipod

My family has seven ipods of different sizes and ages. We are constantly stealing each others' ear buds, losing them and breaking them. Every time I look for replacements, either Apple brand or 3rd party, it seems the reviews regarding quality are spotty at best.
What are the best options for replacing ipod ear phones?
    Thanks!

Well, the Bose In-Ear Headphones are pretty good, high-quality, but expensive and don't really help with the Classic's lack of volume.
I have two sets of headphones, both made by Skullcandy (available at Best Buy - at least that's where I got mine). One is their Over-the-Ear Headphones, which have a BASS-Booster built in, and the other is their In-Ear Headphones, which have a volume adjuster on the cord, which does boost the volume just a bit without losing any quality that I can notice.
And you can purchase BOTH sets of the Skullcandy headphones for the price of the highly-rated Bose In-Ear headphones. Personally, if you're looking for a new set of In-Ear Headphones ... I'd go with the ones from Skullcandy.

  • Best Headphones for x-fi fatali

    Hello,
i am planning to buy a soundblaster x-fi fatality next week.
Currently i am using the speedlink medusa 5. headset, but i am not pleased with this headset.
As long as i am buying a quite expensi've (imo) soundcard, I want the headset to match perfectly to that card.
I am going to use the headphones for the following purposes: playing games (Battlefield 2, Everquest 2, GT Legends, Age of Empires II) and listening to music.
I thought about buying the Sennheiser PC 60 Headset, but i am afraid, that this one doesn?t fit exactly to the x-fi: i read in a test, that the simulated surround sound works best with headphones, that cover the whole ear (hope that you know what i mean).
Does someone have experiences, with this hardware combination?
Or can you recommend some headsets?
Maybe it'ss even better to buy some good headphones and use a seperate microphone?
Thanks in advance for your help

You should do a forum search on this topic - it has been posted a few times and the responses contained the info you seek.
Good luck with your new card. I have a fatalty and like it very much. You will love how good BF2 sounds.

  • How well do the new earpods work with small ears?

My wife has a hard time with earbuds because she has small ears. Just curious if the new earpods would work better for her or not. Anybody have experiance with these yet to know?

I just got a macbook and it works fine with my dell 2007fpw. For that matter, my g3 ibook works fine (if a little slow for some operations) with that monitor at full resolution (1600x1050) (after screenspanning doctor). The graphics card may be weak compared to other current laptop offerings, but it is by no means bad, and for any 2d task it is just fine.

  • Recommendations for headphones for MacBook Pro.

I'm looking for a good pair of headphones for my MacBook Pro. I'm not sure I'm an audiophile, but I do appreciate excellent equipment and sound so high fidelity is important. With that, so is comfort. I'm not a big fan of earphones that fit inside one's ears, though my brother-in-law's Etymotic Research ER6i sounded great. I'm leaning toward the Grado SR 80. They're certainly not very portable in terms of tossing them in my computer bag as compared to the ERs, but it'd imagine they're going be more comfortable. Someone told me that the Grados need a good sound card for them to shine. He wasn't familiar with Macs, but assumed the MacBook Pro's audio output would be fine. I have no dealer in my area, so auditioning them is out. I'd appreciate hearing of anyone's experience with these and a MacBook Pro or other suggestions. Thanks.

I have the same computer. I use the Bose "noise-cancelling" Quiet Comfort 2 headset. They are somewhat expensive ($350), but they work well on commercial airlines (lowers jet engine noise), especially if you travel a lot. I also use these headphones at work to block out background noise.
I have had mine for well over a year with no complaints. I suggest going to an Apple or Bose store to check them out.

  • Why MBA (Mid - 2013) doesn't support with Bose Headphones for Audio Input

I just bought two MBA 11(mid - 2013)  and MBA 13 (mid - 2013) two week ago and I found out that it doesn't support bose audio headphone (MIE2i mobile headphone) for audio input. So I am having experience for audio input with it. When I am having skype or recording, the voice go slient if i use that headphone as external microphone. All of my friends who are skyping with me can't heard my voice if i am doing skype with my MBA.  Audio output is fine though, you can hear as usual in headphones. Internal microphone works though,  but it is not good for privacy though.
Thus, I went to apple store (Five ave) to trouble shoot about it, they said that is because Bose has noise cancelling, (BUT Bose MIE2i doesn't have noise cancelling though). They gave me two ear buds of apple ipod (one is outdate version & another one is latest version - that representative sucked, because she doesn't value the customer, she gave me outdate ear-buds, but i didn't urge with 3 dollars ear-buds), apple ear-bud works for audio input and output, however apple ipod ear buds are suck, it hurts the ears all time if you wear for 1 hrs. that's why I use quality headphone such as Bose headphones. Unfortunately, my bose headphone is not compatible at all.
Is there any one having experiences with audio input with your headphones when you are using skype or audio recording. Which headphone is compatible with your MBA for input/output?

The MacBook Air has a single headphone port. The microphone or headset in question must be of the three-ring variety, just like Apple’s headsets ......, the Macbook Air has the “headset” port,  not a conventional 2-ring mic and speaker port.
    Many are using this,

Youre likely going to need to get a USB headset to use with your Air.   OR, standard headphones plus a USB Mic.

  • Headphones for the Original iPhone?

Besides the V-Moda Vibe - of which I've had two pair; both broke - can someone recommend a decent set of in-ear headphones that will work with the first gen iPhone? I'm working with $100-$150.
    Thanks!

The thing is, not every headphone jack fits the original iPhone. I got a pair of Bose headphones for Christmas and they did not fit, for instance. I had some great in-ear buds for my iPod when the iPhone came out and they didn't fit.
If you use Ultimate Ears with a first gen iPhone, which model are they? At least I'll know those fit.

  • Noise cancelling, wired headphones for 6300

I listen to the radio a lot which does not work with Bluetooth headsets. Can someone recommend a set of wired noise canceling headphones for a 6300 - ideally with the "push to answer" feature?
    Thanks,
    papadeltasierra

I know Amazon UK have good reviews but i just want some suggestions on what make or brand is good.
For all i know the features i like are foldable, active, over-ear headphones. not too big not too fat and not too fancy.
