Headphones not working after a complete new installation

Hello, After wiping the harddisk of my laptop and a new installation of Windows 7 every thing works fine, except the headphones. I tried installing new driver, but the ones from windows update are not working and on the official hp driver site there are no drivers for audio. How can I fix this?

Hi, Can you see the headphone under Playback devices (Right click speaker icon at the bottom right) ? You may need to install driver for it. Firstly enable it, Windows 7 will search the right driver for you. Also find few steps given below might help you. http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01916592

Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing, Wall Paper, Sound etc will be reset

I Got these headphones for xmas last year and have never used them.
Just plugged them into my 3GS, on 4.1, using the dongle that came with the headphones and they work a treat.
I have a coupe of questions for anyone with the answers.
Can I use these headphones without the dongle in my iphone?
& Can I get the headphones to pair with my mac?
Ive tried searching from my mac, but it cant seem o find the headphones? Some on the iphone bluetooth preferences?

Headphones not working after backup restore on new iPhone 6

My new iPhone seemed to work perfectly until i decided to to restore from the last back up copy of my iPhone 4S. After the restore all the apps, data, and contacts were working fine, however the iphone headphone jack was not transmitting sound. I tried several different headphones, and AUX cables without result.
I decided to erase all data, and set up the phone as a "new iphone". When this was done the headphone jack worked properly, however the data, apps, and contacts not available.
It seems to me the problem is with my back up file, however I have no idea what to do. How do I keep my contacts, pictures, apps, notes, etc., and have the headphones work with my new iphone?

If this is your iCloud email account, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Mail off, then turn it on again.
If it's a different email account, delete the account and recreate it again.

I have purchased just last week a brand new PC with intel 95 chipset asus mbd P5-GL-MX having on -board azalia sound component.Along with just got box packed Li've 5. sound card. This has in pack original installation cd.after installing card and everything when i try to run installation cdit says "No sound card installed please insert soundblaster ".i have os win Xp with sp 2 now after investigating through all the post in this forum i have tried everything but yet not succeeded.My message to moderator and compny personnel is that even the new installation cds does not have solution for such problems than if they knew its difficult they should insert small notes atleast that givena hassle free installation so we dont hvae to go and start hunting for the solutions.i was great fan of creative but this has revealed their true face.My final request is atleast provide the working solution for my problem.Expecting prompt action.

First of all you need to get into the setup menu when the computer is turned on. Hit the del key and it should bring up that menu. DO NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS NO MATTER WHAT!! Look for the sound settings which are usually hidden clear at the bottom of the menu on one of the settings. It shoud say onboard sound enabled. You have to use the arrow keys since the mouse doesn't work in the menu so don't try to use it. Now when you find the onboard sound you have to disable it in order for the new card to be recognized. If you got the motherboard book with the system then read it. It shows how and where to look for this setting. Good Luck

Hp dv6t select edition headphones not working after upgrading to windows 8.1

So I upgraded to windows 8.1 from 7 and now when I plug in my earphones there is no audio. I can still hear something when I just use the laptop speakers, just not with earphones. I also don't see the beats audio program on my laptop anymore or the hp support assisstant.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue of the Beats Audio not working correctly since you did the update for Windows 8.1 on your HP ENVY dv6t-7200 Notebook. Here is a document to check some settings that might be and issue with the software.
Sometimes the updates have not completely finish. I recommend restarting the Notebook as if there are some updates that have not gone through this will finish them.
You could check what is installed by checking here:
1. Right click speaker icon (right hand corner)
2. Select Playback devices
3. Right click Speakers
4. Enable it and set as Default
5. Click Apply/Ok
You might benefit from this document on Windows updates and sound issues.

License not working after migrating to new MacBook Pro

I migrated recently to a new MacBook Pro. Aperture is finding it hard to recognize my license from earlier MacBook Pro
Aperture license shows blank. Asks for license. Does not accept my Aperture 2 or 3 license.
Do I have to ?
* Backup my data
* Uninstall Aperture 3 that was migrated
* Install Aperture 2 again
* Put license
* Apply Aperture 3 upgrade again
* Open photo libraries to check compatibility
Any recommended way of handling the license recognition with least hassle?
Last working setup
* MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz
* Snow Leopard 10.6.4
* Aperture 2
* Aperture 3 upgrade applied to Aperture 2
Now
* MacBook Pro i5 2.4GHz
* Snow Leopard 10.6.4
* Aperture 3 (Migrated from MBP2.1Ghz)

I keep reading people state this, but I've migrated a bunch of times since first getting Aperture 1 (or whatever Apple called it). I just did a migration from a 15" MBP (Early 2009) to a brand spanking new 17" MBP i7. Aperture 2 is working perfectly. I'm not bragging or anything, because if something is going to go wrong, it will go wrong with me. Yet, I haven't had any issues with any migration and "Pro apps" including moving iMacs to iMacs, iMacs to MBP, MBP to iMacs, etc etc.
Now I'm paranoid that Aperture is going to blow up on me next week!

Finger Print Scanner is not working after downloading new SimplePass

I upgraded my laptop ENVY dv6 to windows 8.1 and downloaded the compatible simplepass. I installed it and tried to start using it. When i had to swipe my finger for it to register my fingerprint and start using it, the finger scanner is not turning on and is not working.
How do i fix this?

The Scanner is scanning the document but the dicument does not appear in the computer. I have unloaded and reloaded the software using the intructions but it still does not work.

Photoshop CS4 not working after installing on new machine

Hi! I'm hoping someone here may have encountered this issue and can help.
I switched from a 32-bit PC to a Mac running Windows 7 (64-bit) via Parallels. I installed CS4 and InDesign/ Acrobat are working fine but Photoshop only opens and lets me create but can't save any newly created file nor open anuything including JPGs and PSDs. The installation gave me two Photoshop versions, one says Photoshop 64 bit, and they're both saying "could not complete command because of a program error" when trying to save or "could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document" when trying to open. I installed the new patch just to be sure. Any ideas?

I'll start by saying I don't know much about Parallels, as I use VMware myself.
Are you trying to access the files across some kind of special connection to the files in your host's file system?
You may well have a permissions issue. You need to read up on how Parallels facilitates access of your hard drive files by the Windows user who's logged-in, and what permissions you have to set up to allow that user to access them freely.

Exchange Sync Not Working After Addition of New DC

We have several Iphones in my business that all sync Mail/Contacts/Calanders over the air. Everything had been working fine, until I installed a new Domain Controller to the domain (details below). I am sure it is just a small issue that is being overlooked, but so far it eludes me.
What we have (our environment)
*Exchange 2003 SP2 on a Win 2k3 server - we use OWA and Activesync - all on one server, NO frontend/backend setup.
*Original DC - Win 2k3 server with DNS and DHCP
*New DC added - Win 2k8 r2 with DNS and DHCP
The Domain Controllers Both replicate all information without errors and nothing has been changed on the exchange server prior to the addition of the new DC and the sync issues.
I am hoping someone could help guide me in the right direction here and maybe help me find the missing piece of the puzzle.

Problem Solved.
After struggling with all the potential problems that a new AD/DNS/DHCP server could pose to my Iphone active sync, I then started checking my exchange server settings from top to bottom and found in the Virtual Directory I created for active sync, under the directory security tab and in the Auth and access control section that somehow the basic authentication check box was unchecked and the domain wasn't set.
How and when or if these settings changed is unknown to me, but the problem did not present it self until after I added the second Domain Controller to the environment.
Oh well, all is well now.

Bluetooth headphones not working after ios6 update

I have the RF-MAB2 Rocketfish headphones. I also have an Iphone 3gs.
Both are running their latest firmware releases. After updating the iphone to IOS6 the bluetooth headphone no longer would work.
It showed paried with the iphone but music and other apps would not play any sound through the headphones.
I had to go onto the iphone, forget the device and readd it. This has resolved the issues.

I am talking about the wired headphone which received with the phone.
The problem is after the upgrade to ios6 the voice is only coming from one side ( right side ) of the headphone while listening to music.
However if I use apps like Viber, WhatsApp I can hear voice from both the side of the headphone.

What should I do if my keyboard is not working after updating to new OS Mavericks update?

I have a 13" MacBook Pro that was purchased in January 2014. Recently I installed the recommended updates for OS Mavericks on my computer. I rebooted the computer as recommended and when I went to login lo and behold my keyboard will not function. None of the keys will work so I couldn't even put in my login password to even see what the problem was. Naturally I went to all the apple forums I could, to find a solution and none of them seem to work. I reset the PRAM and SMC and still cannot get the keyboard to function. While under disk utility the keyboard functions just fine. But It will not function in a regular setting. I am very upset and frustrated with Apple as the issue is a software issue with OS Mavericks and Apple has yet to acknowledge a problem, meanwhile this is the second time in less than a month that I've had major issues after downloading Mavericks updates. I hope apple can resolve this issue.

3.5 Query Designer not working after GUI 7.1 installation

Hello Experts,
I just installed SAP GUI 7.1 after desinstallation of 6.4 with following patches:
- GUI Patch level 12
- BW 3.5 for GUI 7.1
- Gui Patch level 801
This order seems to work for my colleagues.
The problem is the following : Bex analyser works fine but not the Query Designer
It is launched but after that is blocked and then dissapears ...
Any idea,

FCP Not Working after Migration to New Mac

OK this is really making me mad. i bought a new mac, and used the cool now migration assistant to bring all my stuff over. apps, docs, all that stuff. and when i try everything works great except Final Cut Express. I open it and it asks for the the serial number, i put in the one i have, and it won't let me click OK. any one know what to do? cause that really makes no sense to me, why can't i use my own apps. all i did was transfer it.

Just did a migration myself. I got a new MacBookPro and did a migration from my MacPro. FCE worked fine without a hitch. I had trouble with DVD Pro in FCP. I reinstalled FCP which fixed DVD Pro but broke Compressor. Looked on the archives on this forum and did the fix:

When I copied over compressor.app and the associated library files it worked.
The other strange thing was iMovie 08 on the new Mac was then hosed. I did the same trick, copied the .app and Library directory from my working MacPro and all worked fine.
