Headphones problem with E52

Hi everybody, yesterday I bought my long-awaited E52 and it works fine so far, when I plugged the headphones and listened to some radio. After few minutes the phone would auto restart. Now when I plug the headphones in, in matter of 5 seconds the phone turns off and turns on back again. What can the problem be? Firmware upgrade? Or simply a fabric error? Shall I go to my T-mobile and ask for another one? Thanks

Luckily my phone does not restart that often, since I bought it, just twice.
I am beginning to have a feeling that installed applications may be the cause.
When I got the phone I install a number of things and realized the phone started going all crazy
I experimented and have found out what apps are stable and what I need. I ten formatted the phone and installed only what I need.
The Has-48 head set does not give me problems.
I got the AD-43 which is perfect.
My advice would be to just format the fone, or reinstall the firmware, and try the radio application and see if the phone goes off, just to eliminate any software conflicts.
I f the e52 is still going off, you may want to return it.
ps a new firmware is been rolled out but I don't know if it will fix the problem.

  • Headphone Problems with Audigy 2

I am having significant problems with a Logitech USB headset and my Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS. I have all the latest updates and drivers, but my headset has a 'swooshing' sound when plugged in.
My view is that the soundcard is not recognising the headset audio correctly and doesn't assign the sound to the channels properly. I have tried manually changing this in the control panel, but no change.
I have uninstalled the hardware, and software (nightmare!) and now the 'Creative Volume Control' doesn't even work, right or double-left click.
In short when the headset is out, the card seems to perform correctly. Additionally, I have removed the USB Audio Device from the PC, and then re-installed it, but again didn't work.
Any advice would be really appreciated...

    burnsdh,
Just in case you did not read those reply from Jeremy in another one of your post. The USB headset work independently and it's not linked with the Audigy 2 ZS sound card. USB headset is basically an individual USB sound card.

  • Possible solution for headphone problems with Mac Mini

A month or two ago, I posted a question about problems I was having with getting earphones and earbuds to work with my mid-2010 Mac Mini. I just wanted to share the (quite simple) solution that solved my problem.
My problem: I couldn't get any earphones or earbuds to work with my Mini, despite my trying several different sets. Finally I took my Mini into the local Apple store.
Solution: Though it was not stated in any Apple support literature or postings online, the solution was to push the mini-jack into the audio out port until the mini-jack clicked. I was just being too cautious. I was pushing the mini-jacks into the port (which were in the back of the Mini, so I couldn't get a good handle on what I was doing, since the Mini's back was facing away from me). I wrongly thought I'd pushed as far as the jack(s) should go. Not so. I should have pushed harder until there was a 'click' and the mini-jack was all the way in. Once that was done, no problem.
Chalk it up to my stupidity or to a lack of detail in Apple's support and help literature, but that was the solution.  I hope this helps others with similar audio out issues.

Thanks for the response but I think maybe you missed part of my post.  The keyboard works fine with my mac book and with my son's macbook.  The keyboard is actually working right now.  It has been a problem with shut down and then strart up.  I think that I went through all those other SMC and PRAM efforts with Apple support and actually many others and they were completely stumped.  I think that this is a complicated problem for which there may only be a work around but I am hopeful that the next time I shut down, it will work.  I appreciate ideas but if my 4 or 5 hours with Apple support cannot help, I do not believe this is going to be a simple solution but if someone has encountered this or something similar, I would welcome their ideas.  I have gone to the Apple Store in Madison, WI on several occasions and unfortunately I often know more than the people that help me so I am reluctant to go there and to trust the staff at the genius bar.    For example, I recently purchased and Apple watch and the first person that helped me did not know how to turn it on and the second person did not know it came with two different length bands, and I once bought a case for my iphone and the person who helped me was more interested in the color than in the functionality of the case.  I could go on but I am not confident in the competence of the staff there so I am hoping that someone in the support community can help me.

  • OVI map problem with E52

    Hi,
Iv been using E52 for the past 11 months and loved the way OVI maps worked but about 2 months back i had some serious problem related to keypad and since the customer care couldn't fix it they replaced it with a new E52. I am not able to use OVI Maps properly on this new E52 meaning my current location is being shown and also in the search option I am able to search for places but when I am selecting the location and opting for drive to or walk to option then the waiting for GPS option keeps me waiting forever. With my previous E52 this problem never exsisted and the route map was created immidiately. I dont mind using the map service over the GPRS instead of GPS. I have updated the firmware and also installed the latest nokia OVI map software, updated the maps but still facing the problem.
    Please Advise.

    Welcome to the forum!
I am assuming that you will have the same functions as on my E72 a similar S60 3rd FP2 device.
Suggest that you go to Menu > Ctrl. panel > Settings > General > scroll down list to "Positioning"  > Positioning methods - temporarily disable ALL except Integrated GPS, go outside away from tall buildings if feasible, open OVI Maps application and wait 20 -30 minutes necessary for it to establish very first positional lock.

  • Headphones problem with MacBook Pro?

I recently purchased some new headphones, but only 1 earpiece works on a mac. There's nothing wrong with the headphone because both the ear cups work on everything els. He headphones are super super loud ( louder then dr dre beats ) and have the same base.

you would usually get this problem if you have your headphones socket broken or you have not plugged it properly - all the way.
Have you tried other headphones on your Mac?

  • Same headphone problem with Zen Micro Pho

I had 2 Zen Micros before. They both had the headphone where you can't hear anything unless you move it in the right position. My second Micro took a while to break and I cashed in my rebate at Best Buy.
I got the new Micro Photo since they ran out of regular ones. Do you think I should get the rebate? Does the Micro Photo have headphone jack problems too?

    Snoweagle wrote:
So far mine doesn't and i've not heard news that the ZMP is suffering the same headphone jack issue as the Micro.
Yep, there has been no known headphone jack problem involving the MicroPhoto on this forum, and this should be compared to new threads every week concerning the original Micro as well as the old 00-pages discussion thread. More people have supposedly bought the original and it has existed for a longer time, but the ZMP has been out for over 6 months in the US and fo quite a while in Europe, well beyond the time it takes for many Micro users to discover this problem (my first broke after two days...). Considering this, I'll presume it has been fixed with the ZMP.

  • Headphone problem with 6300

Hi, hope someone can help me....
I've purchased an adapter from 2.5mm to 3.5mm so that I can use my "normal" headphones. However, when I put the 2.5mm jack in the phone, I can still hear music from the phone itself; nothing at all from the headphones I've connected.
Do I need to change something on the phone? I've looked at "Enhancements" but doesn't have an option for headphones
    Any ideas pleeeeeeeeease!?

I had this problem on an Imate and the reason is the plugs are wired differently. If you look at the plug you will see little black rings, it has to do with how these rings are layed out on the plug. The adapter rings need to be reversed.
This time when I bought my wife a 6300 I also bought her a set of blue tooth stereo headphones BH501 and they work a treat, they also will switch off the music and accept a voice call then they resume the music once the call has finished.
The added bonus is she can use them on her pc as well or any other blue tooth device.

  • Problem with E52 Firmware update 051.018

I have a Chinese Traditional Nokia E52 and did the software update today to 051.018 (as it was marked important). I encountered the following issues:
    1) Pressing the "green/pick-up" button does not bring up the call logs anymore.
    2) I can't even access the call logs from the main menu. The icon is there, but nothing happens when I click on it.
    3) The phone is not remembering the last 6~8 symbols (such as , , ; : - ~) from the SMS menu when I'm typing an SMS.
    4) The phone no longer has "Full-Character" symbols (double byte)
I tried everything, hard reset (*#7370#) and formatting the phone (power+3+*+Green) and I cannot get the above issues resolved. I wiped out my entire phone and all my apps to try to fix the problem, yet no luck.
This is obviously a pretty serious bug and I hope that there will be an update soon. Otherwise I cannot use a phone without a 'phone log' function!
    Help!!!!

I forgot to mention that "Advanced Call Manager' was wiped out from my E52 and it was bundled with my phone when I bought it. Now it's gone....

  • Headphone problem with bumper case.

With the bumper installed, I can no longer plug in my nice Grado headphones. The headphone socket hole in the bumper is so narrow, that I can't push the plug in all the way.
Has anyone seen any kind of gadget that allows you to plug in a third party headphone with the bumper installed? As I visualize it, it would have to be a skinny mini-jack plug, with a mini-jack socket at the other end.
Anyone know where I can buy something like that?
    -Ron.

I went to RadioShack last night, foolishly thinking that they might have something. The guy actually scolded me for not having a "better" case on my phone. ***.
Anyway, I searched Amazon, found the original Apple jack for about a buck and a quarter, free shipping. Can't beat that!

  • Problem with E52

Hi.. I have this problem on my E52. Whenever i try to play music on it after sometime it stops and gives me a error message "General: System error"
I did the reinstallation of the software using the Ovi Suite but in vain.

I used to see the "General: System Error" message in Gallery after extracting some pictures from an email message, and then deleting them.  Gallery thought they still existed, and flashed the error when I tried to view them, delete them, etc.  The "image database" was corrupt.  If your problem is similar, you could force 'Options -> Refresh Library" in Music Player and hope it fixed the database.
You say you reinstalled the phone's firmware (which would erase any songs on the phone, right??) but if your music is on the memory card, that hasn't been touched.  If it isn't too much trouble, another solution might be to back up your music, reformat the card, and then restore the music.
If none of that helps, please post more details.  Are you using the Nokia Music Player or a different program?  Does the error seem to occur on the same song, on the same album, or is it totally random?  Are these .mp3's or some other format?  Good luck!

  • For HP experts: sound Mic/headphone problem with presario c350ea

    Hi there,
I’m facing a trouble with my laptop microphone system hope someone help me to resolve this issue,
I bought Compaq Presario c350 ea in 2007 and its work very well till now and I am happy with it, couple of weeks ago, FIRST time I plug in headphone in jack and realized there are no any sounds at all. In last 5 years time I never got chance to use my laptop mic/headphone.
I try my best to resolve this issue but still fail, neither mic recording any voice nor any voice through headphone.
Another funny thing is when I plug in headphone still speaker plays( voice coming from main speakers), so I am using builtin camera for conversation at the moment(as a mic) and main speaker as (a headphone)
I have up to date drivers and software’s, other day I updated with Intel website even and only getting following message regarding Audio Driver for Intel Desktop Board
“This device is unknown or unsupported. Please contact the manufacturer for possible updates”
I  have windowsXP home edition, .net 4 framework with sp3
Conexant High Definition Audio driver ver 3.23.0.0 downloaded from HP.com
Any help will be appreciated to resolve above issue.
    any question ask freely.
    Many thanks
    Soha

Does the headset work on a different notebook?
With the headset connected, go to Start and search for Sound and open the result under the Control Panel category.
There will be a playback tab and a recording tab.
Post a screenshot of each of those tabs selected.
You can use the snipping tool to save a screenshot of a section of the screen.
A photo can be uploaded by selecting the photo icon while making a post and browsing for the photo.
This site has a good tutorial on the snipping tool should you need it.

I have checked all sound and BT drivers, all Ok. What can I do, buy a new tablet?
