Headset Battery Never Shows Full

So now that we have a battery gauge for the Apple Bluetooth headset (Update 1.1.1), I've noticed that even right after a full charge (shown on main screen while docked) the icon only shows 1/2 to 2/3 at best and varies quite a bit over a short period of time.
Has anyone seen their gauge/icon go full scale?

I was going to post, but I see your message.
I have seen the full charge but it does not last long.
Since the update I get the feeling the headset is draining faster OR not displaying the charge correctly. I was able to go about 2 days with small usage prior to 1.1.1 update.
Now after 7 hours the display showed about 1/2 drained. The main screen, large icon matched the small headset charging icon in the top right.
I just put the headset in the charger afor maybe 10 minutes and it the large icon shows full. I removed the headset from the charger and turned it back on (since when it is in the charger it is turned off) and now the small charging icon shows up and it is at the 1/2 or lower.
Are you seeing similar?

  • Battery not charging full

I notice that my battery doesnt show full after charge as when it stays on the charger. At the beginning it shows 100% but next day it shows 98% even on the charger also the fan has a noise that stays on almost 100% of the time. I have Applecare but don't know how long it takes to check out at Apple Store. Thanks for any suggestion.

The battery fully charges, then stops when full and bleeds a little. When it drops a little more the charger will kick back in. This is normal.
You can reset the fans if you are concered with a SMC reset: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
But you have Applecare (wise choice) and if you feel uncomfortable, definatley bring it in, get your moneys worth.
Make an appointment first, as they are usually busy, and you don't want to hang around for who knows how long.

  • My Ipod 4g will not stay charged. He charges it to show full battery

My sons Ipod 4g will not stay charged.  He charges it to show full battery & will only work for 20 mins or so.  I have tried resetting the whole Ipod, we have tried a wall charger instead of computer charger, he has removed items off thinking they were to much for the Ipod. Nothing works.....

If you successfully  (went through all steps without errors) restored the iPod to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem. An appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iPod shows that my battery is receiving energy and that it is "charging," but it doesn't actually charge. The battery never increases; it only decreases. Even when I have it physically plugged in and charging, it loses battery whenever I am using an APP or anything. I'm thinking that the chip that receives the energy is damaged or worn out. Is there anyway to fix it without going to the store? My USB chords is fine. It charges other iPods fine. Including a second generation iPod which means my 4th generation iPod should not have an physical battery problem. Any suggestions? Thank you so much!

    - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Have you tried clearing Safari? Clear Safari, close Safari completely and reboot your iPad. Try again.
    Go to Settings>Safari>Cookies and Data.
If you are running iOS 5 or iOS 6 you close apps like this. Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button twice.
If you are running iOS 7, you close apps this way. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I have the same blueparrott headset headset with the directions. Actually reading them just fixed my iphone pairing issue.
Here they are in case u still need them along with what I needed to do to get mine to work with iphone 4
    Pair Headset with Phone
    Turn off headset off
Hold down headset's MFB (large top button) until red & blue lights flash and you hear 2 rising tones, followed by 4 more tones. Must wait for all before you release the MFB button!! (I had my hubby hold the MFB while I waited for the tones since both come from the headset
Release the MFB and follow your phone's instructions to place it in 'bluetooth' discoverable mode.  With the iphone4, go to "General" and then "Bluetooth" and turn indicator to "ON".
This is where my issue occurred as the phone could not find the bluetooth, although it worked with my LG phone.  So after trying it several times thinking I was nuts and that the issue was with the iphone, I looked further in the blueparrot's directions and found this step that fixed the issue.
    Reset Paired Devices List
On the bluetooth, press and hold down both the volume up & volume down buttons for 5-6 seconds.  A double beep will be heard and the list will be reset.  Pairing info for devices previously paired will be lost.
The bluetooth directions provide this as step 4 but that did not work for my phone (see below)
    4. Once the phone discovers the headset, select "pair" and enter "0000" code and that when pairing is complete the blue light on the headset will stop flashing and phone will prompt you to 'connect'.
This is what I had to do after resetting the device list on my bluetooth
    4. My iphone instanting discovered the headset and displayed it under 'Devices" but showed a message that it was 'not connected'.  Once I selected the device on the iphone by pressing on it then it changed to "connected".
Even when I turn the bluetooth on and off the device remains on the list and alll I do is select it to connect and disconnect after I turn on my blueparrott bluetooth
    I hope this helps others!

How long ago did you last contact Support, and how ? If it's been longer than 48 hours, and only tried one method of contact, then you could try the other :
    -  the 'report a problem' page : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

  • Battery Showing Full When Em

ERm, my neeon2 keep showing full batt? when it is low batt connected to the back usb port of my pc.. i went to service center to test with AC and it charge fine, but simply shows this weird thing via my pc, cable failure? or wat

What you are seeing is normal behavior. Your MacBook will charge to 100% and then allow itself to discharge to about 95% before charging up again. In order to keep it at 100% it would need to constantly be charging the battery which would be a strain on the charger, the charging components in your MacBook as well as the battery itself. While the system is discharging from 100% to about 95%, it will show that it is charged (there really isn't another status to explain this 5% period)... once the charge drops low enough, to about 95%, it will show that it is charging. It is completely normal... if not a bit confusing.

  • N97 My Battery shows full all the

My Battery shows full all the time and when the battery is empty the phone gives me one warning and shuts down...Does anyone know where i can amend the settings that show the battery falling in power gradually.. so i know when i am nearly out of power. my mobile is n97

There is no setting for this.. Try Updating / Re-installing the firmware..
Take data back-up before you go for it...
Alternatively you may download and install the Nokia Battery Monitor from here .. and set it as Homescreen Widget..

  • Battery indicator lights show full battery but won't turn on

I have an early 2008 non-unibody MacBook Pro. For about a year now, the status of the battery has been "replace soon." I was still getting a pretty good amount of time off of one charge so I wasn't too worried. This past Saturday morning, I woke up, checked the battery indicator lights on my computer (it had been sleeping since the day before) and it said it had about 60% percent so I opened it. I was on the Internet for about 10 minutes before it shut off without warning. It wouldn't turn back on when I pressed the power button, so I plugged it in and it turned back on. When I checked, the battery status was "replace now." After using it, I turned it back off and left for NYC for the weekend and didn't bring it with me. When I got home last night, I plugged it in and tried turning it on with no luck. The battery indicator light was flashing one light, so I just assumed it would need to charge for a bit before it would turn back on. After about two hours, when I went to bed, it still was flashing just one light. I kept it plugged in over night, and this morning when I checked it, the battery indicator lights showed that it was fully charged, but it still wouldn't turn on. I still kept it plugged in throughout the day just in case, but it still won't turn on even though all the lights are lit. Is the battery just showing me false information, or should I be worried about more than just the battery? Might I have to get a new computer altogether? I bought a replacement battery online so I'll have my answer in a few days, but I was just wondering.

And for what it's worth, I tried reseating the RAM and resetting the SMC, both with no luck. Could it be the logic board? The only reason I think it might not be is because my computer still worked a little bit after it first shut off, it was only after it was off for an extended period of time that it wouldn't turn back on.

  • My iPod touch (4) picks up my internet connection at my office and at public hotspots absolutely fine. Additionally, it shows full connectivity to my home wireless network. However, even though it shows full connectivity, it does not truly connect.

It shows full connectivity (three lines) but when I go to the app store...it just loads and loads and loads...My other devices (iPhone 4s, macBook and PC/Laptop) connect fine. I talked to apple for an hour...no solution. I talked to my Internet service provider for an hour..no solution. I tried to contact my router manufacturer but it is rather old and linksys no long provides support for this model. I reset the router factory settings. I reset the iPod from new as well as a back up. The iPod is brand new...two days old. Nothing works. My next step is to purchase a new router. Can anyone out there help?

I will get one tonight and try it...so frustrating! It was a gift for my dauighter and she was so excited to use it...but was so dissapointed We'll see! Thank you for your input...and if it does work...I will be sure to post it...because I have seen other posts and they never post their solution!

The question is why do you want to show the URL?
Faces apps don't change the url with each click (as the click might be going into a region).
Can you give us a use case? Do you use bounded task flows?
    JDev version?

  • Laptop battery always on full, 100% when connected to AC

    Hi,
I usually use my laptop on AC with battery removed. Last week I used it from battery, then connected the laptop to AC. If I remember correctly battery started to discharge to 90 something percent after a while, but now it is always on full.
    acpi -b
    Battery 0: Full, 100%
I have the following packages installed:
    local/laptop-mode-tools 1.61-2
    local/acpi 1.6-1
    local/acpid 2.0.16-3
    local/linux 3.5.3-1
My question: is it fine to have the battery always on full? Or was it better when it was charging/discharging automatically?
    Thanks

    siriusb wrote:
Let me clarify myself. When the battery is in place and the laptop is running from AC, sooner or later you will see that the battery is fully charged. When this fully charged status has been accomplished, charging stops and battery starts discharging (let's say from 100% to 95%) then charging starts again. I think that was the way it worked some weeks ago. My experience in this very moment is that battery is reported to be fully charged. Always. No drop from 100%.
I think the charger electronic prevent the battery from overcharge, but I don't know why is the change in the behavior described above. Was it a bug and now it's fixed or now we have a bug.
Anyway, people contradict each other how to prolong the health of a battery, but I found that usually they say if one usually uses a laptop from AC the best thing is to remove the battery when charged to 50-60% and store in a dry place, and from time to time it's advised to charge/discharge it.
Uh... what make is your laptop, for example I'm using a Compaq laptop so my laptop has a big Compaq at the base of the screen and nice big Q on the back.  I wouldn't be surprised if your laptop is a Dell.  Google for product reviews for your laptop:  So, since my laptop is a Compaq and it's a CQ60-420US
    I'd type
    CQ60-420us battery charge/discharge behavior
or something like that into the address bar for chromium, and then press enter.
EDIT:  The best way to use/store a battery, and you can quote me on this 'cause I took a Electrical engineering class last semester and know what I'm talking about, is to just charge it all the way up and then use it till it's almost out of battery power.  If you charge it when it's at half capacity it will eventually do bad stuff to the battery, or something like that.  Anyway, it's just healthier for the battery to have the chance to fully discharge per every full recharge.  You don't have to let it go all the way to 0%, 'cause your laptop will probably cut off if you do that, so let it get as close to zero as you feel comfortable with.
A good program for keeping an eye on power stuff is wmacpi.  It's what I use, since conky isn't reliable on my hardware when it comes to the battery.  Install it thusly:
    packer -S wmacpi
    and run it thusly:
    $ wmacpi
If you use openbox, like I do, you can add the following line to your ~/.config/openbox/autostart file.
    wmacpi &
Here's an image of wmacpi showing a laptop being run off AC power.
