Headset blocked

My iphone headset used to work alright but for some reason now when I try to use it the iphone says it is blocked. anyone got any ideas

Worked it out myself! Unpaired it and then paired it again and it seems to be working okay now

    I've had my revolution for a few days now and have run into an issue recently. Starting this evening whenever I get a call and answer it, music starts playing over the call. I deleted the track that was misbehaving and now another track plays in the deleted ones abcence. Help

    When you mention that music plays over the call, I just want to be clear and ask if you mean music you have downloaded to the phone (songs), or do you mean the ringtone that played when the phone rings?
    I have checked my resources and I also wanted to ask if you are using headphones when this happens? Does it happen on every call?
    If you are using headphones when this happens, you are able to search the market for a headset blocker. If this is the issue you are having, the download will disable the music from playing when on a call.

  • I want to buy a wireless headset for my iPad that will allow me to lissen to a video while blocking out any other sounds in the room yet is comfortable. I do not have any experience with headsets so I do not know what to expect.

    I want to buy a wireless Bluetooth headset for my iPad that will allow me to listen to a video while blocking out any other sound in the room. I tried a philips 6000 earplugs but it was not good at blocking out sound. Can anyone give me some suggestions. I see lots advertised but do not know which one to chose.

    Have you tried to factory reset your device? If not, press and hold power button, then choose yes when the device will ask to factory reset.
    Next, download SUS (http://www.sonymobile.com/fr/tools/update-service/), then update your device.
    Try this, and let us know what happens.
    Edit : If the device is working after all this... DONT UPDATE when you will be asked on your phone. The last firmware (0.1.E.1.5) is buggy, you should wait for the next one. So stay with the update SUS will install (0.1.D.0.6).

  • Player blocks when USB Headset disconnected during playback

    I am playing a Wav file in my application & using a USB Headset to listen to the playback.
    I'm observing the following behavior while doing this:
    Scenario-USB headset is connected when the application starts up.
    a) Am able to hear the voice on the USB headset when I play the wav file. Also, I get the visual Control Panel component for the player and add it to my application UI.
    Code Segment 1:

    c) I then disconnect the USB Headset while playback is in progress. The saddle on the Control Panel Component slider bar pauses at it's position as soon as the headset is disconnected. Also, when this happens, no event is fired.
    d) At this stage, if I try to stop the player using a Stop button on my UI, my application hangs. The stop() method called on pressing the Stop button has the following code:

    player.deallocate();
    In the above steps, no exception is ever thrown nor any event fired signalling the disconnection of the device in use(headset).
    I need to detect the disconnection of my USB headset & prevent the player from blocking, so that I can stop the player & release the resources in a clean way.
    Any suggestions in this regard would be appreciated.

    Hi, did you resolve your problem? I have similar problem to detect when a capture device is disconnected.

  • How do I submit a bug? (Firefox blocks bluetooth headset commands.)

    I am using a Samsung Epic with Froyo 2.2.1, and a Sony MW600 playing mp3s with "Just Playlists Plus". Everything works as it should until I open firefox. It seeps like Firefox is capturing the pause, skip, etc. commands from the headset and not passing them on to the OS.

  • Headset configuration to use in trak

    Hello, i?m Daniel.
    I have an Audigy 2 zs platinum pro. I first i was just trying to get the headphones and micro to work independently to the speakers. I wanted to use Skype and listen to music at the same time. At that point i discovered the soundcard is not prepared to do this. I had to read some stuff, because i?m not used to technicalities regarding computers. In other words i don?t understand much, i just hope for everything to work the way it should. And i read my card was multichannel. But from what i could understand in the Forums that is only for recordings purposes. Something to do with the Asio driver or whatever.
    Now i have the Traktor software and i really need to have some kind of independent line to the headset to be able to pre-listen. I read in the Forums i had to connect the headset into the rear speaker entry in the sound card. I?ve done that. I still don?t get how it works. Maybe it'ss something regarding the audio configuration in Traktor. I hear the music but it'ss not differenciated to the one playing in the speakers.
    By the way i installed an Asio driver called Asio 2ks. Traktor blocked trying to read it. What should i do now? I?m sure this has been discussed already but if someone could explain to me how it is done i would really be apreciated. Thanks in advance and luck to everyone.

    You can do a setup with a fractional PRI with MGCP, you just can't use the download of configuration from the CUCM since that always will be a full blown PRI with 24 (T1) or 30 (E1) channels. For this you would need to manually configure all needed MGCP parts in IOS, leaving out the ccm-manager config command.

  • I have an iphone 5 on ios 6 and while my Bose blue tooth BT2 headset works with the phone part of it it is often not recognised by the music part of the phone. Bose cant help - can you?

    My Bose T2 syncs with the iphone 5 and I speak on it without problem.
    However whild i also could listen to music and audiobooks the icon which allowed me to switch from phone to apple tv to bose T2 has now disappeared and I cant listen to music on the T2.
    Can you suggest what to do?
    I have rebooted the phone and hte blue tooth headset.

  • Sidetone headset for iPhone

    Greetings-
    I am looking for a replacement of the Apple earbuds with mic that came with the phone. I tried a Klipsch headset, but it is a sound isolating headset that sounds great for music, but it is impossible to participate on a phone call with it, as you cannot hear yourself talking through the headset. It sounds just like putting your fingers in your ear and talking out loud. The original headset does not really have this problem because the headset was not really sound isolating, the earbuds do not block all the noise around you from entering your ear. I am interested in a third party headset as the earbuds from apple tend to hurt my ears after extended use.
    I asked a genius at the store on Mich ave in Chicago and he said that the iphone does not support any sidetone (piping your voice when you talk through the headset back to you so you can hear yourself talk). My question is does anyone have / use a headset that has some sort of device inline that pumps your voice back through the headset (or any other suggestions about a good headset I can use with the phone that does not create a super awkward experience when trying to use the phone as a phone)?

    I was hoping that some aftermarket product may be available that is an in-line device that will loop back the spoken sound from the mic back into the headset. This would not require the phone to support sidetone (no idea why Apple would not include sidetone in the device in the first place), but would be handled by another device.
    I would have thought that Apple may have desired to include features that people who use the device for business need if they want to try to dislodge blackberry at all, but I guess I am wrong. Many people spend a great deal of time on the phone with a headset each and every day.

    We see several posts about them being purchased in Apple retail stores, but has anyone that ordered the Bluetooth Headset from the Apple on-line store received shipping information or actually received one yet?

    Thanks- I thought on-line orders would ship before or at the same time they arrived in stores but I was wrong.
    I ended up getting one at the Apple store 2 blocks from my house and then cancelled the on-line order at the same time.
    Works pretty good but the fit is loose even with the foam cover.

  • Headset & Video Volume Problem

    Phone operates like the ear buds are plugged in when it isn't.  Texts & email notifications vibrate instead of sound notifications.  Video volume slider only appears when the headset is actually plugged in.  How do we fix this?

    iPhone: Can't hear through the receiver or speakers
    Resolution
    Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
    Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is not switched to silent.
    While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
    Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.
    For Original iPhone: If there is light debris, such as lint, in the headset jack, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset jack and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times to remove the debris.
    If you have installed a protective film on the display, either ensure that the receiver is not covered or remove the film completely.
    Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris.
    If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (chooseSettings > General > Bluetooth).
    Restart the iPhone.
    If restarting the iPhone doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring the device.
    If the issue persists, go to the Service Answer Center - iPhone for information on service.

  • Headset SBH52 Notification Volume Problem

    Hello.
    I can not hear the notifications or hear the spoken message when I receive.
    By the time I get the alert facebook for example, the volume is down automatically to almost 0, and when the message finished talking the volume returns to normal.
    I'm not listening to music or using applications ringing sound when the warning comes.
    I searched settings but found nothing.
    It happens to all notifications, all that is notified when the volume drops to the minimum.
    Tested in two mobile Sony Xperia ZQ (Brazil) and Xperia Z1.
    Anyone know why this?

  • Macbook Pro Headset not working until restart computer

    Macbook Pro mid 2009 2,8Ghz with Mavericks on
    If I try to insert headset jack I dont have detected on Output , but if I restart it will be working
    But ! if I try to eject the headset jack , is not going back to laptop speakers ( internal) , and the same Is working if I restart again
    I try reset everything , clean , etc
    I read a lot of forums
    I was on apple suport etc
    Nobody can diagnose this think and say what is rong ?!
    All I can figure out from reading forums , as a conclusion is the problem comes from Update OS
    I will like to get a software that can diagnose in a way this or maybe a an apple tehnician that can confirm is from the Update OS and will nothing to do untill a fix update comes out from Apple .
    And more organise with this forum ! please , make sections , clean and get the solutions simple and clearly !
    I under if the next generacion of mac's are the same or with be buged after few years with different problems like this one
    So I have a piece of hardware that is no longer under support and I cant use it
    Maybe I should buy a new one to get my sound back

    Youd need to bring it into the Apple store, ...do NOT try to use it again, a dead fan can cause bad overheating and ruin things far more expensive than your fan.
    Good news is, its a relatively inexpensive fix. sounds like the bearings are shot on the fan hub.  Do you have pets or a lot of dust in your house, or do you ever block the fan input/output?

    I would imagine this is because you are trying to connect to a device that Bluez doesn't have a supported profile for.
    Bluez5 removed support for HSP/HFP headsets.
