Headset Control Buttons won't work

Hello,
I just used my V-Moda Crossfade LP to listen to music and tried my control buttons. They just don't work so I tried some AKG Ks and the buttons also don't work. Do I have to download a app or?

As far as I know, these models are made for Apple units. There might be some compatbility issues to an Xperia device with the buttons and the mic. For example, if you check the following link:

They include the following text: 3-button remote microphone cable controls your calls, music and volume on most smartphones and tablets including the latest Apple devices including iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Macbook (volume compatible only with Apple products)
A third party accessory might need more power than the phone can deliver. I suggest (if possible) that you connect a Sony headset to your unit to see if you experience the same behaviour.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
Back up all data.
Quit Facetime and Messages if either is running.
Step 1
Hold down the option key and select
Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Move the following item from the Library folder to the Trash (either may not exist):
Caches/com.apple.imfoundation.IMRemoteURLConnectionAgent
Leave the Library folder open. Log out and log back in. Try the applications again. If they work now, stop here. Close the Library folder.
Step 2
If you still have problems, quit again. In the Preferences subfolder, there may be several files having names that begin with any of the following strings:
com.apple.imdsmsrecordstore
com.apple.imservice
Move them all to the Trash. There may also be a file with the name "com.apple.imagent.plist". Move that to the Trash too.
Also in the Preferences folder, there's a subfolder named "ByHost". Open it and do the same thing.
Log out and log back in. Test again.

You can try this.
Calibrate the home button
1. Open a stock iOS app, such as Contacts
2. Press & hold the sleep/wake button at the top of your device until the red slider control appears.
3. Immediately release the sleep/wake button and press & hold the home button. Hold until the red slider disappears.
As a a workaround, you can use Multitasking Gestures if you can't get the home button to work.

However, you might want to try restoring the iPad to see if that returns the functionality of the home button and/or take it to an Apple Store and let a Genius have a look at it.

IPod nano gen 4 forward button won't work, and the hold switch won't either. I've tried restoring it and it didn't fix the problem. Any suggestions?

As far as I know the Toshiba Controls utility is responsible for key usage.
Did you try to install Toshiba Controls?
Check the Toshiba driver page for this driver.

Hello smarisig. I understand you are not able to control screen brightness from the keyboard on Windows 8. By chance, did you upgrade to Windows 8 from Windows 7? The person who posted the issue on this forum had upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8, and then this issue occurred. That is the reason I asked if this Windows 8 was upgraded. Vertical scrolling with TrackPoint's middle button won't work on MS Word

Question:
I have a T42 ThinkPad and the vertical scrolling with TrackPoint's middle button won't work on MS Word and therefore not in my email either. Big pain in butt as I'm so used to using it. Are there any patches that fix that? Any ideas on why it won't work?

It's really weird. My suggestion would be that you install the most up-to-date driver by direct downloading or via System Update (if you haven't updated the driver).

Even after I unplug my headphones they don't work, they get stuck on the level of volume it was at when I plugged in the headphones. updated my iphone to ios7 and everything was fine. but when i tried to use the music buttons to skip/play songs, the buttons won't work. as in i'm not able to skip or play a song. i have to go to the music icon and do it from there. can someone help?

Ipod power button won't work

As of late, my power button is acting weird. Either when you press the power button it won't turn on.. or it will.. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't..
To get it to turn off if the power button won't work, I'll just drain the battery. Anybody know anything to help?

That's a hardware problem. Apple doesn't repair it. If there is no sign of abuse (don't try to fix it yourself), they replace it with a refurbished unit. The fixed-price for non-warranty replacements can be found here.
