Healing brush working half of the time
Hello guys. I ve started to use Photoshop cc and I am having really irritating issue with it that I never had with previous versions. My healing brush working with 50/50 success rate. After I pressed ALT then I am putting my pen on skin that I want to fix and it is working half of times, so I am sitting and re-pressing many times on same pieces, which slows me down badly. Also animation of brush not going either, same issue when I am doing with mouse. I have other really old version of Photoshop and it is working proper, what is wrong with my CC version?

Spotlight search (search iphone) does note work half of the time.
When searching my iphone4s nothing show up half the time. (spotlight search) Sometimes it works fine and other times I type and it does not search or show anything. Powering down the phone did not fix. Just odd it works for a minute then seems to stop completly. No other problems besides this one.
OK, well at least it works 50% of the time.

Xorg working half of the time with 1920X1200 ( Pictures inside )
I can finally get it to work by continually restarting X. Sometimes It takes 1 time ... some other it can takes 10+ times. It is completely random.
This is in 1920X1200 resolution but it doesn't want to take all the screen space. (Samsung 2493HM)
If I use this screen I never get that issue. But the resolution is 1360X768. (Samsung 26'' 720p)
Video Card is a NVIDIA 8800 GTS.

Last edited by odf (2008-08-27 20:06:12)Maybe it's a problem with Xinerama. Try commenting out xinerama and twinview lines and see what happens.
It may also be a problem with lines:
HorizSync 30.0 - 81.0
VertRefresh 56.0 - 75.0
The values are usually autodetected and I am not sure you passed valid ones. -

NoSquint useless half of the time
Ever since I downloaded the new and "improved" version of Firefox 4, my web pages and their content display in tiny font.
I never had this problem with the older version of Firefox and I didn't need a plugin. It's pretty frustrating when so-called "improvements" end up making things worse and the solution doesn't seem to be of much help.
Anyways, I've browsed these forums and found out that you now have to install a plugin or add-on or whatever they're called to permanently zoom all web pages to the desired level of zoom. Well, I installed NoSquint and it only works half of the time.
I set the Global Settings to 120% of full page zoom level and 105% of font zoom level. When I go to my homepage - Yahoo - it shows up in the correct size the way I wanted it. But then I log into my email account and everything is tiny again. I look down on the add-on bar and the magnifying glass shows the page at 100%. Then I click on the magnifying glass and the page changes to 120% like I had it set in the Global Settings. This happens with other pages as well.
What's the point of a "Global Setting" if I have to manually click on the stupid magnifying glass just to get the page to display properly? As you can tell by my writing, I'm frustrated. I want the old, common sense, easy-to-use Mozilla back.The very first thing to try is resetting the preferences. Quit the editor, then restart it while holding down ctrl+shift+alt (command+shift+option on a mac). Keep the keys down till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.

You have some (major) issues.
Are you in Recovery Mode ? Used Option key or Command R to get there?
I would grab the ML installer ESD you saved and do a clean install on another drive and begin to rebuild to a new system.
You may or may not have TimeMachine but have backed up problem files.
Having a bootable backup clone of your system is a must.
Hard shutdowns will add more layers of problems and add to whatever there was before.
Generally there is not a need to use Disk Utility other than to repair permissions either before or after installing updates.
Have you:
tried with everything else unplugged so you don't have any external devices
tried with a safe boot
Why.
After any forced shutdown you should use ML Recovery and one Safe Boot on the first next boot from a working system. -
I have upgraded my itunes to 1.4 on my windows xp service pk 3 system and now it won't recognize my ipod and let me sync it half of the time. What can I do about this?
It's not a "Reset" (except for the Reset of the iPod and possibly powering off the computer). It's meant to be a test to see if there might be interference between connected USB devices, or if the total power draw of all connected USB devices is too high for your computer's USB bus. If it always works when the iPod is the only connected device, but only sometimes works when you connect it with other devices, it may be one of those issues. When it works, the set of connected (or active) devices is OK.
If this is the case, you can go through a process of elimination to determine which device or combination of (active) devices causes the problem. NOTE: If one of your devices is an external hard drive that gets power from the USB port, power draw may be higher if it is currently active (spinning). Also, the power draw of the iPod may be higher when it is charging its battery and/or syncing.
Or are saying that the connected USB devices does not seem to matter, but doing a computer shut down always makes the iPod connect immediately after startup, but then the problem returns later? -

As a novice computer user, I wonder why I'm often getting "white-out" (program/app/site I'm working in goes totally blank onscreen). This is when I'm Internet online. If it makes a difference, I'm working 99% of the time on battery, not AC, power. Some of the possibilities I'm guessing are: glitches in my Verizon FiOS Wi-Fi providership?; staying too long on a site that's waiting for me to finish and "Submit"?; computer hardware prob (yikes, I hope not! It's brand new). Any ideas out there?
When this 'white-out' occurs, is the display 100% white with no error message and no menu bar?
Does this occur when you are using Wi Fi or connected to the Internet via the Ethernet cable?

First of all, I'd recomend resetting the iPod. Do this by pressing the 'Menu' and 'Center" buttons for 10 seconds or until the Apple logo appears.
If this doesn't work, then it sounds like a hardware fault.
To identify the issue, if you have one, try plugging the iPod into a speaker through the dock. If this works, then the issue is with the headphone jack. If not then the logic board is dead. If the iPod is less than a year old, then it can be repaired by Apple for free. Just book an appointment for the Genius bar.
If not then, you could see about sending it to an iPod Repair Company, such as my own. A replacement headphone jack would cost £30.00 in the UK, including next day delivery. Other companies you could try would beUKiPodRepairs, but we guarantee to beat any quote that you get.

When I try to Home-Share It works most of the time. It will always show up, but sometimes I tap on the icon of my library then it wont load, I restart my computer, IOS Divice and my router It still wont load my library. I even went and tried to reinstall Itunes and everything nothing works.

How to Trap REP-0108 when printing images
I have a report that prints images off the file system. I have a column set to read from file with file format of image. Not all values will have an image. This causes the rep-0108 error. Any suggestions?
