Health app in iOS 8 and NikeFuel

I cannot get my NikeFuel on the Health App in iOS 8. I have an 64 GB iPhone 5 so, I have loads of  free space.
What am I doing wrong?

Hello Ken, Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I can certainly understand why you would want to get your Nike+ FuelBand connecting to the new iOS 8 Health app. Currently we're working with Apple because due to an unspecified issue with Health Kit and the Health App, data sharing between those apps and other apps (including NikeFuel) is not currently enabled. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but I would keep your eye on updates for iOS 8, and the Nike+ FuelBand and FuelBand app.  Should you have any further questions or concerns, please let me know; I am here to help. Sincerely, Dante

  • Apple Health app for iPad (and Personal Health Record)

Is the Apple Health App only for exercising and doing physical activities ... or ... will it be for keeping one's "Personal Health Record" on your iOS device?
I would hope that Apple would have their Health app for keeping records like doctors' visits, health records, lab results, hospital stays, doctor lists, reminders for appointments, keeping weight data over the long term, BMI, blood pressure and so on. All this kind of stuff is very well suited to be done on the iPad and I was looking for the Apple Health app (for the iPad) to see if Apple incorporated this "full functionality" for "health" for people to use. I just can't find the Health app to use on the iPad.
I've already downloaded several apps separate from Apple which are supposed to keep records and doctors visits and lab results and blood pressure ... etc, and etc ... but I haven't found them to be completely adequate. No one is able to provide a fully functional and complete health record and all its functionality (including x-rays and lab results and analysis) for iOS devices.
I suppose that the field is "too new" for the iOS devices to be fully functional yet ... but I would hope that Apple would "get there" first, with its "Health app".

Which is no reason you can't still store your Health data on it. The Health data can be transferred from one phone to the next if you use an encrypted back up.
Apple appears to have been looking at the iPhone as a collector of data and Health as the front end to that as well as a repository of information collected from other sources. As an iPad currently can't collect the data the way an iPhone does, the function of the Health app would be slightly different than on an iPhone. I'm not suggesting there is anything "wrong" with how you would like to use Health, only that it appears to be a bit different than how Apple thinks Health should be used. Submit feedback to Apple letting them know what you'd like to see.
Personally, I really find the Health app only useful as a transfer conduit at this time. I find myself rarely looking at the dashboard. Perhaps my opinion will change with the release of the Apple Watch.

  • Using Health app in iOS 8

Perhaps I'm missing something about how the "Health" app is supposed to work.
It seems to have the most odd data point categories, while leaving out many obvious ones.
For example, you're able to track your "Molybdenum" intake, but you can't keep track of when you had your last tetanus shot?
You can enter your "Electrodermal Activity" , but where do you enter what medications you take and whether you took them today?
Surely you can keep track of your medications with this thing, right?

As far as I know, it isn't set up for medications. I know there are other medical records types of apps to track that tho.
Heck, you can't even track water intake
They've missed a few things in this first iteration of the tools.

  • The Health app in iOS 8?

I have used this app with varying results since receiving my iPhone 6+.  Hopefully, it is still in its infancy and will improve.  One question, among many, here's how it measures and records "flight climbed". I am up and down stairs practically all day, as I lived in a two-story house.  It has yet to register more than one flight climb.  How does this work?  I see no selection to turn in either on or off.  Has anyone else had similar issues with this or other parts of the Health app.

The information collected in encrypted on your iPhone and Apple cannot use it or view it. If you back up to iCloud it is required that the backup is encrypted as well.

  • Health App Lists Itself and iPhone as a Data Source

I use FitBit to track my steps. I also use the Sync Solver app which syncs data from FitBit to Apple's Health app. When I open the Apple Health app and look at the list of data sources for Steps, there are 3 data sources listed:
    Sync Solver
    iPhone 5s
    Health
Sync Solver is at the top of the list because it's the app that I want to take priority over all other data sources. But I don't understand the difference between "Health" and "iPhone 5s".
I assume that "iPhone 5s", when listed as a data source, means the data gathered from the phone's built-in motion sensor. But what is "Health"? Why is it listed as a data source for Steps? It's like the Health app is using itself as a data source, which doesn't make sense to me.
This same phenomenon is true when looking at the data sources for Walking + Running Distance - both "Health" and "iPhone 5s" are listed as data sources for that particular metric.
Coincidentally, neither "Health" nor "iPhone 5s" appear on the main Sources tab for the Health App (i.e., the master list of apps that are sources of data for the Health App).
Does anyone know the difference between "Health" and "iPhone 5s" as data sources?
P.s. - "iPhone 5" is simply the name of my iPhone. This would be listed differently depending on what your iPhone is named (e.g., "Eric's iPhone", etc.).

ArrayCollection is a view of a source array or ArrayList.  You can have multiple views of the same data by assigning the .list of one AC to another AC.
You can create a separate hashmap of ID's to indices in that other AC

  • Flash-Air-App for iOS and Apples new App Store guideline (XCode 5)

    Hi Forum,
i'm using Flash CC for the development of an iOS App (AIR).
Now Apple will soon update the iOS to 7.1 and Apple says, that from 1st of Feb. 2014 you can only publish iOS-Apps created in XCode 5 in App Store.
Or how do I have to read this statment from Apple: "Starting February 1, new apps and app updates submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 5 and iOS 7 SDK."
How does this fact affect my Project?
Will it still be possible to publish an FLash-Air-iOS-App through App Store?
    Thank you in advance
    Ralf Kopp

Adobe fixed this internally. Just update your adobe air sdk to latest from labs.adobe.com

  • How can I create a simple chat function in a mobile app for iOS and Android

I am wondering how can I create a chat function in my mobile app creating in AIR and Flex. The chat should be similar to the one in WhatsApp.
Do you know some possible solutions?
    Thank you in advance!

To enable chat messages, you need a server. The kind of server depends on the application. Do you want to create a chat like application like WhatsApp, where the server pushes messages without an active connection? Or do you have some sort of online game, where chat messages can only be transferred when the client is connected already?
I have an online game where clients are connected to a Java server at all time. From there it is pretty straight forward:
    2 textfields:
    - 1 line textfield for input messages
    - multi-line textfield for chat history. Make sure the textfields autoscrolls to the bottom when the content changes
on enter or button push, send a socket message to the server.
the server broadcasts all messages to all clients that are subscribers of the chat group.

  • My FIOS App for iOS and FIOS Quantum Gateway

I have a new FIOS Quantum Gateway G1100 with a new firmware update including guest Wi-Fi.  When I try to use the My FIOS App on my iPad Air 2 and then access the Router and Wi-Fi information I get an error message unable to retrieve Wi-Fi Details.  When I try to manage the FIOS Quantum Gateway I get an error message IPAddress Missing for VZID.  I'm also unable to access any of the router settings from this app and nothing happens when tap the > symbol.

Make sure you have the latest version of the MyFios app.  It's version 3.9.2.10, which you can find on the "App Settings" menu or in the App Store's update page.  Updates are handled through the App Store.
    Enjoy.

  • Font licensing for Air apps for iOS and Android

    Hi all,
I'm trying to shift into the app design world after leaving academia and I'm currently working on a couple of 'portfolio' apps for some friends of mine. One thing I'm completely confused upon is Font Licensing and I'm really hoping someone can clear this up for me. From what I've seen on the net, it seems that a lot of people just use fonts and don't bother with any licensing. I've always thought that if the font is there to choose from in Flash/Photoshop etc then you can use it for whatever you want without concern - but I've never released anything to the 'public'. This doesn't seem to be the case though and from what I've seen, Font sellers expect thousands per year to use their fonts. Do all of those developers of free or low cost apps on the app store really pay tens of thousands of dollars each year for font licenses? How can they afford to?
I just want to use some nice looking fonts for some things and as a newbie to the app development world, I can't afford to pay crazy amounts for fonts. How should I limit my font choice and how do I know which fonts I can use? Also, I got an email recently about 'Adobe Typekit' soon being included in my Adobe CC subscription with access to thousands of fonts. What does this mean? There are loads of fonts on the Typekit website, does my CC subscription mean I can use any of those fonts to my heart's content or is it just some syncing thing?
I'd really appreciate some info on this as I'm completely confused and any discussions I've found about font licenses seem to be by people who either don't give a crap and use whatever fonts they find without paying a dime or people that have been using paid fonts for decades and 'just know' how everything works and so don't talk about it.

you can use any legally obtained adobe fonts for your commercial apps and you do not need a royalty or licensing fee.
with typekit fonts, you are restricted to using them only while your subscription continues.

  • IOS health app stopped synching

Has anyone else had their IOS 8.2 Health app stop synching with the Wahoo Fitness app? My data has stopped synching on the 12 March (after an IOS update?). I have all the historic and manually entered Fitness data present in the Health app upto and including the 12 March, then nothing is synched. When I try a manual synch from the Fitness app on data after the 12th March, I get the "com.apple.healthd.sqlite error 1" message.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've even tried:
    1. Turn off all syncing by theirs-party sources.
    2. Delete all third-party apps that might sync data so that the Health App "Sources" list is empty
    3. Reset all settings on the phone.
    4. Reload third-party apps one by one
    5. Selectively turn on syncing by third-party apps and only sync categories I really want to see.
All to no avail. The Health App crashes constantly and when trying to input data into third-party apps, those apps will crash also.
I'm currently trying to sync data with:
    UP by Jawbone (UP24)
    Withings HealthMate (Withings WiFi scale)
    MyFitnessPal
    Runtastic
    Nike+

  • HT203066 Health App keeps resetting data and dashboard view

Health up on my iPhone 5s (iOS v8.1.2) keeps resetting the data and dashboard views:
    - when I enter data in the 'Me' tab (Birthdate, Sex, Blood type), the data keeps disappearing when opening the application again
    - adding a dashboard (i.e. 'Weight') the dashboard shows (with no values) and disappears again
    - adding a data point in any dashboard manually does not show.
Also - I am using MyFitness Pal & Withings Health App - no data is showing.
I recently re-installed the phone as new (couple of weeks ago), I re-installed the third party apps (and deleted all data when asked)
    Any hints, pointers?
    Thanks in advance

  • Health app: bug in daily average for sleep in year view?

I've manually entered sleep time for everyday since August 2014 in the Health app (on iOS 8, on an iPhone 6).
In Day, Week, and Month view, the daily average seems correct (resp. 7h49, 7h09, 7h09).
But it is obviously wrong in the Year view (12h36mn).
Also the graph in the Year view is wrong. (The bar for August is twice as high as the one for October for instance.)
(I've check -3 times- that these manually entered data were correct.)
Does anybody experience the same problem?
Or as any idea what the bars, in the Year Graph, are supposed to represent? (daily average for each month? or total sum of sleep time for the month?)
    Thanks in advance!
    Antoine

The Health App really serves as a conduit between a variety of other apps that wouldn't ordinarily be able to talk to each other. The App Store has a section for apps that work with Health to be able to sync data.
You can submit feedback to Apple here:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback
Don't stress to much if you can't find a section dedicated to Health. Pick something under "iPhone" and just make sure you explain it well.

  • Apple Health App-Bug

I find Apple's Health app only reports and exports the first sleep session of a day. For instance, today it reports me sleeping 3 hours rather than my six (two 3-hour sessions).
    Does anyone else see this?

    Hi Ralph,
I had this same exact issue as well as my iTunes library.I was able to resolve it by doing the following:
    1. Open Settings
    2. Tap on iTunes & App Store
    3. Tap your Apple ID
    4. Tap View Apple ID
    5. Sign into the store
    6. Tap done
    7. Launch iTunes Radio and try again!
I hope the above resolves it for you.

  • IOS 8.1.2 and Health App

I've just installed 8.1.2 and so far no change in the Health App.  Following bugs still present (Interaction with UP24)
    1)  Daily average still WAAAAAAY off
    2)  UP24 and Health still don't agree with steps even though UP24 is listed first as the source and thus should override any data from the iPhone
    3)  Still can view step data (phone just hangs when it tries to display data)

    anypats wrote:
With 8.1.2 there were no changes relating to Health, wi-fi issues, Bluetooth, etc. The only change was an issue with ringtones disappearing.
Nice of Apple to issue a one note upgrade.
