Health step counter all messed up

Health still records my data points (although strangely--it has a data point for 6000+ steps this morning, which is wrong, as I just woke up, and it records all other data in tiny chunks, like 6 steps at a time), but it no longer shows a daily average or daily steps. It just has 0 for everything unless you go to the data screen.
It used to record my steps, still in the tiny increments, and display daily totals and averages and daily distances. After downloading iOS 8.0.1 and restoring to iOS 8.0.0 yesterday, it apparently no longer does the totals, and apparently is messed up if it thinks i walked 6447 steps this morning.
Any insight? I liked it keeping track of all my steps.

HHealth app prioritising is not working. I am unable to disable iPhone step counter and it is adding to my polar hrm watch - M400. I wear my watch all the time but do not carry my iPhone 6 plus all day. For instance I do not have it with me while working out on a treadmill. How can I stop Health app from using my iPhone data? Health App: Basic Step Counting?

Do I need any external hardware to have my steps or runs measured in the health app? I can't seem to set anything up...

I have iPhone 5s iOS 8.0.2 and the steps are being counted for me. I have no other hardware for step counting.
Open health app and check health data tab -> fitness -> steps or walking + running distance
Though, if you are dissatisfied, you might search for something additional in app store.

No, as the Step counter only works with Motion Coprocessor, introduced on all iPhones and iPads in 2013 (except the iPhone 5C). You therefore need an iPhone 5S , 6 or 6+ for this feature to work.
However, you can download an app that will count your steps in the App Store while turned on, using the accelerometer, but this will considerably reduce your battery life.

Please post DDL, so that people do not have to guess what the keys, constraints, Declarative Referential Integrity, data types, etc. in your schema are. Learn how to follow ISO-11179 data element naming conventions and formatting rules (you have no idea).
Temporal data should use ISO-8601 formats. Code should be in Standard SQL as much as possible and not local dialect.
This is minimal polite behavior on SQL forums.
What you did post is a common design error made by people who do not understand how sets work. This is not RDBMS! It is a sequential file system, kludged in SQL using the recursive CTE that hides the cursors and loops.

Step? A set has no concept of ordering. Your question is like asking about the gills on a dog in a veterinarian forum.
An SQL programer would have a table (set) with the name Personnel. This is a higher level abstraction. But you have Employees, a sequential file or list.
Managers and subordinates are not attributes as you show them. There is a relationship among employees. You have a non-normalized model that mixes relationship and entities together in violation of basic data modeling.
We also do not use flags in SQL; that was assembly language.
Please follow Netiquette and post the specs and DDL , so we can replace it with a nested sets mode.

Apple watch and iPhone show different step counts

When I look at the activity app on my watch and on my phone, they show a different number of steps. For the most part i've been walking with both my phone and watch, so I'm wondering why the number doesn't sync between the two. Obviously on the phone its including some additional steps that it is counting that the watch didn't get. I have not calibrated it yet (doing a workout with the GPS on the phone). When I look at the raw data int he Health app, the phone is obviously counting a couple more steps each time. Is this something other people are encountering or will it fix once I've calibrated it?

I have the same issue, but my iPhone actually has fewer steps counted. I did a dumb test to count steps myself and looks like my iPhone has more accurate steps. The thing bothering me most is the Health app picks steps from iphone and watch. It doesn't recognize sometimes the data is duplicated.

Mac mail all messed up

I have a G4 laptop and a G5 desktop. Both are divided into two users, my wife and myself. Are separate mail accounts work fine on the G5. However, on the G4 they are all screwed up. Both our mail is coming into one mailbox and the mailbox for the other person there is a lightning icon and no mail will load. I figure I can just delete all mail accounts on the G4 and start over to again setup our two accounts. My question is: Is deleting all mail accounts on the G4 going to wipe out all the incoming and outgoing mail already received on the G5? I don't want to lose any of that material. If so, do I need to save the mail on the G5 and if so, what is the easiest way to do this? (By the way, I have checked the mail settings on the G4 and they are identical with the ones on the G5 so I can't figure out why the mail accounts on the G4 are all messed up.)

Keyboards special functions all messed up

i have a macbook air 1st gen and it worked pretty good for 2 years now. after i had some booting problems who where solved running onyx is safe mode, the special function on my keyboard are all messed up! if i press play song it go's to space and the other one's are also messed up. does anyone know how to fix this?

Several of those things do not sound right to me.
If you've done the reset/restore things, then the next step is repair. Take it to an Apple store and let them check it out.

Report generation sequence file, like reportgen_txt.seq shipped with TestStand, has step called "add step count". In my understanding it comes from model, like sequential model.seq, but I have always seen it to be zero.
I was interpretating this parameter in report would tell how many steps a test took in total, because my test execution may take different number of steps. Is my assumption correct that this parameter would tell total number of steps executed, including all step executed e.g. in a while loop ?

That seems to be true in my machine when I have selected report generator option DLL. But when I have selected sequence option, which I want to use because I have a custom reporter to excel sheet, the step count remains zero. I'm not sure if something has happened with sequences, they are pretty old originally coming from TestStand 3.x. Anybody help to try this ?

Step count way too high in iPhone 6 with ios 8.2

I had been using the health app in iPhone 6 to count steps, very successfully until I loaded iOS 8.2. Immediately, the step count inflated by more than 10 times, and it's now recording something like 120,000 steps per day and 200 flights climbed. Anyone else seen this?

My step counts look ok, but I have had some errors with flights climbed. Just today my phone is showing 17 flights when I have probably climbed 5.

Why is it ipodtouch needs a nike to work out when an ipod nano 4G has a built in step counter??

It kinda makes me mad that and ipodtouch dosnt have a built in step counter when an old Ipod nano dose, is this just a way for apple markets to get an extra little amount of cash?

This app works with the built-in sensors on the iPod.

I tried to setup this up and it's all messed up

Boot into recovery mode, launch Disk Utility and wipe the HD. Quit DU and restore the OS. On first boot, migrate properly, using the steps in Pondini's Setup New Mac guide.

The font i used in my KEYNOTE presentation is not available when you upload it to the cloud. So, now my text boxes are all messed up. How can I select ALL font boxes of presentation and change (at least) the font style?

I have a large presentation that I need to access from the cloud THIS SATURDAY. Now, after uploading from my iMac to Cloud, the font is all messed up because the font I selected on my mac is NOT available on the Keynote Cloud....so capitalization is wrong, inconsistent, etc.
Is there a quick way to select all text and change the style? Help..I am running out of time!
