HealthManagerObserverMonitor monitoring non-existant server.

Hi all,
I have recently removed two Exchange 2013 CU1 servers (running the Client Access role only). I removed them by uninstalling Exchange and then removing the computer object from Active Directory. No errors were reported during the uninstall, and Get-ExchangeServer
no longer shows the servers. After removing the two servers, I rebooted every other Exchange Server (all 2013 CU1) in the domain.
Despite removing these servers, it looks as though the Exchange Health Manager is still looking for them:

  • "Phantom Remnant" - How to remove a non-existing server from Snow Leopard

    I have a very strange problem that I am sure has a very simple solution, but I cannot figure it out.
    Previously, my network was centered on my Time Capsule, which, due to router settings, was at 192.168.1.1. However, since moving, the address has changed, but my Mac Pro continues to look for it as a server or device.
    It presents itself any time there is a network or filesystem request of any sort. So anytime I click on Finder (or PathFinder), click on a folder, file, connect to a server, etc., I get a window that pops up saying:
    Connection failed
    The server "192.168.1.1" may not exist or it is unavailable at this time.
    I cannot figure out where the Mac stores it's list of servers that it has used in the past. I have looked through all of my apps that cause this to happen, in their preferences, and I've searched for hours on Google to no avail. It does not happen when I am using a web browser, so I don't think it's looking for the server as a DNS service, but I am thinking it is looking for the Time Capsule as a disk server or something similar.
    Does anyone have any ideas of where else to look? I am comfortable at any level of editing or command line usage. I have set up networking dozens of times on Linux/Windows boxes, but I've not touched the details on my Mac (never had to before ). Is there a way to "flush" the hosts SL thinks exist?
    PS: My new network setup is kind of screwy, and my router to the internet is at 192.168.1.1 internally (and in /etc/resolv.conf), but it does not have a disk of any sort inside (that is accessible at least), but I still have the TC on an internal network with 10.0.1.1 as it's new address.
    TIA

    This may help go into the Utilities folder and lunch Keychain Access.
    Make sure you click on login and make sure the category is All Items. Delete all the references to your previous network that appears on the right hand side.

  • Non-existent Server in iFolder Admin

    I've got an issue with a server listed in Admin that doesn't exist anymore. I have a Master Server and at one time had a slave oes2 server. The oes2 server was started up from scratch as an oes11 server using a different server name but the same ip address.
    Now in iFolder Admin, I have listed my Master, the working oes11 server AND the oes2 server. I would just ignore this but I added a new user and it defaulted to the oes2 server and won't let me reprovision it.
    How do I get rid of that server? Is it referenced in a config file on the master server? I don't see anything in iManager that references it. Could it be an LDAP entry? and if so, how do I get rid of it?
    Thanks!

    I did manage to reprovision that new user. I added a DNS entry for the old oes2 server name pointing to the IP address that I had reused and once that started to resolve (checked with ping) I went back into iFolder Admin and was able to move that new user to the Master iFolder Server.
    I'm still wondering how I can get rid of that erroneous server though.

  • Mac keeps trying to connect to a non-existing server

    Title pretty much says it all. Some time ago I accessed a Windows-Share using my MacBookPro (10.6.1).
    Since then an error message along the lines of "Connection failed. Can't connect to the server AFOREMENTIONEDWINDOWSSERVER."pops up irregularly. Sometimes every 5 seconds, sometimes once in a hour.
    Things I tried:
    Repairing permissions
    deleting com.apple.finder.plist
    loggin in with a different account - no problems then!
    emptying the "recent servers" list in GoTo -> Connect to Server...
    I'm kind of stumped at the moment, especially as I can't find any log-file entries for this error.
    You guys got any additional ideas?

    Now it's getting screwy, and looks like some sort of corruption. I recently had a issue with one of my iMac's and it's network settings. All browsers were having problems going to some sites. I went through all the motions, including user account testing, reinstalling and updating SL, etc.
    Ran Onyx and cleaned every cache setting known to Mac.
    Finally determined problem happened when network location set to Static IP, but not when Location set for dynamic IP. Don't know why, but other computers were able to use the same static IP's fine. The problem machine was using a Static IP for many months, but I changed the IP number to another Static, it worked, then changed the IP number back to the original Static, it continued to work...
    So, even though I reinstalled the OS, some sort of networking preference must have been reused in the new installation. Changing the setting reset it or caused a new preferences file to be built.
    One thing, I cloned my drive and worked over the clone pretty well. You can get pretty drastic if you've got nothing to loose. With a clone you can mess with the system preferences the same way you did with the user prefs, without causing any new problems on your work drive. You could also play with setting up a new user account and importing parts of the old account to see if you can get a good working account without endangering your data.

  • Extra monitor w/laptop in office, when out of office how do I prevent Firefox from displaying on the non-existant 2nd screen?

    When I am out of my office using my laptop, upon launching Firefox, it displays all of the tabs from the previous session on the non-existent extra monitor which is set up as a screen extention for when I am in my office. All of the other programs that I park on the extra monitor (Outlook for example) display on the laptop's screen when the extra monitor is not attached. Is this a bug? Or, must I not save my open tabs when exiting Firefox if I am going to use the laptop w/o the monitor?

    Thanks for your suggestion. I sort of came to that conclusion as I was typing the original question. However if there is anyone out there who has a solution that is not dependent on my remembering to do something before I exit Firefox, it will be welcomed.

  • Exchange Server 2013 SP1 - Readiness Check Failing - Detected Non-existent Exchange 2007 Servers

    For development purposes, I needed to install Exchange Server 2013 in our environment.  Our current environment includes a couple Domain Controllers, a Sharepoint Server, and a SQL Server.  So, it's got a very simple topology.  The one thing
    our environment does NOT have are current Exchange servers.
    During the "Prerequisite Analysis" phase of the install it complained that two servers, that I can find nowhere in our active directory domain, are running Exchange 2007.  Obviously, this presents some unique problems.  Perhaps as a test
    many years ago, someone installed Exchange 2007 to "play" with, but we've never run Exchange for any length of time.
    So, this is quite the conundrum, given the above does anyone have any suggestions as to a potential solution?  Ideally, I'd like to be able to "lift the covers" and cleanup the references to the non-existent servers somehow, but ANY suggestions
    for fixes are MUCH appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Nate

    Here is the thing I would do (Only if I am not going to have any exchange 2007 ever in the environment).
    On any of windows server 2008 download
    Exchange 2010 SP3
    Extract the file and run the below command:
    Setup.com /ps
    This will make Exchange 2013 install. Also Deleting Exchange Administrator Group wouldn't help as Setup will look for the information about schema into AD.

  • Usage tracking problem : not started due to non-existent Usage Tracking tab

    Hello,
    I need some help after following the necessary steps to setup 'Usage Tracking'.
    My table S_NQ_ACCT stays empty.
    The structure in the rpd files looks like
    * OBI Usage Tracking
    Connection Pool
    Usage Tracking Writer Connection Pool
    Catalog
    dbo
    S_NQ_ACCT
    My nqsconfig has the following entries related to usage tracking
    # Usage Tracking Section
    # Collect usage statistics on each logical query submitted to the
    # server.
    [ USAGE_TRACKING ]
    ENABLE = YES;
    DIRECT_INSERT = YES;
    PHYSICAL_TABLE_NAME = "OBI Usage Tracking"."Catalog"."dbo"."S_NQ_ACCT";
    CONNECTION_POOL = "OBI Usage Tracking"."Usage Tracking Writer Connection Pool" ;
    BUFFER_SIZE = 10 MB ;
    BUFFER_TIME_LIMIT_SECONDS = 5 ;
    NUM_INSERT_THREADS = 5 ;
    MAX_INSERTS_PER_TRANSACTION = 1 ;
    When making queries on the Usage Tracking SA, I still receive the following error in the NQServer.log File
    +[59049] Usage Tracking not started due to non-existent Usage Tracking table "<Database>"."<Catalog>"."<Schema>"."<Table>".+
    What am I doing wrong??
    Txs for your quick help on this!
    Kr,
    A.

    Can you post your entire NQSConfig.INI file?
    According to the message guide (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12103_01/books/AnyMsg/AnyMsg_Messages.html#wp1007961) the error you're getting specifies the table that OBIEE is trying to use, so the fact that yours reports literally "<Database>"."<Catalog>"."<Schema>"."<Table>" makes me think maybe the wrong config is being picked up. Also your comment that using a file instead of DB doesn't work either.

  • Cfmail "failto" not working with non-existent internal email addresses

    We've hard-coded cfmail TO value in many places across many
    applications, i.e.
    <cfmail to="[email protected];[email protected];[email protected]"
    ...>
    Suppose when one of the users (user1,user2, user3) left
    company and his email address was removed from the MS Exchange
    server, cfmail would fail saying
    A problem occurred when attempting to deliver mail.This
    exception was caused by: javax.mail.SendFailedException: Invalid
    Addresses; nested exception is: class
    javax.mail.SendFailedException:
    550 5.1.1 User unknown
    in the server exception log and cfmail wouldn't report the
    error to the email address of "failto".
    So I'm wondering if it's possible to have cfmail ignore the
    bad one(s) and continue to send the email? Or is there anything I
    should do with the Exchange server?
    Advice is much appreciated.

    Thank you, Dan.
    Sorry, what I meant by "non-existent" is not quite
    straightforward. Let me explain this way:
    I observed the problem only occurred to emails of our
    company. For instance: our company's email address ends with
    @abc.com.
    my email address: [email protected]
    my previous colleague's address: [email protected] (he's gone and
    the email is invalid / deactivated now)
    my client's email: [email protected] (used to be valid)
    If I code this way:
    <cfmail to="[email protected]" failto="[email protected]"...>
    "failto" does work and I got the email.
    but if these:
    <cfmail to="[email protected]" failto="[email protected]"...>
    <cfmail to="[email protected];[email protected]"
    failto="[email protected]"...>
    I never got emails reporting the failure but error lines in
    the mail log and the exceptions log which read:
    "Error","scheduler-3","01/28/09","11:55:32",,"Invalid
    Addresses"
    "Error","scheduler-3","01/28/09","11:55:32",,"Invalid
    Addresses"
    javax.mail.SendFailedException: Invalid Addresses;

  • Non existing local user managed to RDP to windows 2012 target machine

    Hi,
    It seems the exact same issue as I see it here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/91f09a4b-350f-47f8-814b-53b29d1a6306/windows-2012-rdp-login-credentials-are-not-used-on-remoteapp-connect-dialog-box?forum=winserverTS
    But I couldn't see any real/final answer.
    Can I get official response from MS about this issue?
    When we use the RDWeb, we use a non existing user to connect to some target 2012 machine and it actually works... it connects me to the target.
    How cab I eliminate it?
    Tx,
    shlom

    Hi,
    Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
    For the user which you don’t want to provide the access of Remote Desktop to target machine, you can apply GPO setting for that user. Need to apply “Deny logon through Remote Desktop Service” GPO policy and add that user under that policy. You can
    find the policy under below mention path.
    Windows Settings/Security Settings/Local Policies/User Rights Assignments
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • Registering Existing Server on new ODSEE 11.1.1.7 DSCC

    The DSCC from 11.1.1.5 allowed you to register existing servers and gave you the option to add a new host and use a different port. I am running DSCC on one machine and would like to register and monitor all my servers from this one DSCC GUI. It makes it really easy to verify that all my servers are up and running by looking at the list of all my local and remote directory servers. I just installed 11.1.1.7 and went to register an existing server. It only defaults to the local host and port 3779 and you cannot change it or add a new remote host. Does this mean with 11.1.1.7, you can only create and register servers on the local host that DSCC is running? If there is a new way to do it, I could not find it in the documentation. Any help would be appreciated.

    Multiple DSCC environment is possible.
    I did it in this way:
    1) Unzip the binaries on both HOST_A and HOST_B
    2) Create the DSCC registry on HOST_A
    3) Create the DSCC agent on HOST_A and register it on DSCC on HOST_A
    4) Create the DSCC agent on HOST_B and register it on DSCC on HOST_A (use the -h option)
    5) Start the agent on HOST_A
    6) Start the agent on HOST_B
    7) Create dscc7.war on HOST_A
    8) Deploy DSCC on a WebContainer on HOST_A
    9) Create the DSCC registry on HOST_B
    10) Create the DSCC agent on HOST_B and register it on DSCC on HOST_B (it will use a different port)
    11) Create the DSCC agent on HOST_A and register it on DSCC on HOST_B (use the -h option)
    12) Start the new agent on HOST_A
    13) Start the new agent on HOST_B
    14) Create dscc7.war on HOST_B
    15) Deploy DSCC on a WebContainer on HOST_B
    My config looks like this:
    HOST_A
    bash-3.00# /opt/dsee7/bin/dsccreg list-agents
    Enter DSCC administrator's password:
    Hostname      Port  Certificate  Type        Owner  Flags  iPath                     Description

    2 agent(s) displayed
    bash-3.00#
    HOST_B
    bash-3.00# /opt/dsee7/bin/dsccreg list-agents
    Enter DSCC administrator's password:

  • Exchange 2007 when sending a calendar invite, a non-existent delegate shows up in an undeliverable message

    I had a test user that was removed. When it was removed, it was still listed as a delegate on someone's email. Now, whenever a Calendar invite is sent to the existing user, the sender receives an undeliverable message. The existing user does not receive
    notification of a calendar event, but the event does show up in the calendar.

    Hi,
    If the delegate user account or mailbox has been removed from domain or Exchange server, please also remove the delegate settings with this account.
    If a user is set as a delegate for a manager, the meeting request which is send to the Manager would be forwarded to the delegate automatically and ask for approving in the delegate side.
    Please do the following steps in the Manager’s Outlook client to remove the delegate settings for this non-existent delegate:
    1. Open the Manager’s Outlook.
    2. Click File > Account Settings > Delegate Access.
    3. In the Delegate list, click the non-existent delegate, click Remove.
    4. Click OK to save the settings.
    Then check whether the issue persists.

  • Non-existent Calendar Entry

    Hi All,
    I'm currently using an 3 IPad 64GB WIFI/3G and Having a really annoying Calendar Sync Issue, 2 out of 3 are having the same exact problem, I'm not to even sure how it even happen BUT... perhaps maybe when i delete or make a change into the calender, it doesn't sync back properly
    I sync lotus notes calender via the internet to my mail server at work, when I sync my calender, it shows non-existent entries out of no where, I check my current lotus calender, and when i compare it to my Ipad calender, there a few entries in the IPad that doesn't even exist in the Lotus Calender.
    I deleted the calender and redid the sync, it doesn't go away, anyone has this sort of problem before?
    It really bugs me when I know i need to check for meetings, but that meeting is really arranged since it has been deleted or moved....

    All calendar entries from my I-Pad, I-Mac, & PowerBook work, just not my I-Phone entries. Where do I set up my sync on the I-Phone
