Hear Mail but Nothing Comes In

Since upgrading to Yosemite - when I'm working in Safari, I get the notice come up on top right of screen when email is incoming, get the sound of new mail but when I check Mail it is not always there. Where has it gone? And how do I get the incoming mail to actually go in the inbox?
Help please!

I have searched quite a bit to find a resolution to this problem, with no success. Any help would be appreciated.
I decided to rebuild my inboxes by following this advice: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11704. The rebuild took several hours and at 96% (4 minutes remaining apparently), the indexing froze (that is, after 8 hours, the message was still telling me "4 minutes left"). I forced quit mail, restored the previous Envelope files from the trash, and everything seemed fine.
However, since this failed attempt, I can see and select the message in the center pane and when I click on it to display, I get "Loading" text, but nothing comes up. All messages in my various inboxes have the reloading problem, EXCEPT messages that I downloaded since the aborted rebuild (in other words, there are about 40 messages that I downloaded since I tried the rebuild and I have no problem with these). The other 70,000 messages however wont load, even though I can see them in the centre pane and spotlight has no problem finding them and showing me their contents (when I hover the mouse over the message). When I click on the message in spotlight, mail opens and the loading problem re-occurs.
Since then, based on various suggestions I found for similar issues, I have used Disk Utility to verify and repair permissions and the drive. I used Onix to rebuild the Mail index (that only took about a minute - I am not sure how to interpret this when compared to the hours the rebuild took with Mail). No joy, I still have the same problem. I even restored one of my inboxes via Time Machine and the same issue with loading continues.
I am using ML 10.8.2. I have a combination of IMAP accounts (work) and POP accounts (personal). The issue of loading occurs irrespective of the account.
I am baffled and am now considering migrating to either Thunderbird or Postbox 3 to try and solve my problem. I prefer to stay with Mail. I should note also that I am using MailTags with Mail (http://www.indev.ca/MailTags.html), although I have not used any of the features. I upgraded to ML from SL about 2 weeks ago. It was very smooth and there appear to be no issues (not sure how helpful this is and probably not at all related to this issue).

Try Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

Sign out from your pple Id on your Device and Go to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and then Sign In with your Apple Id here and Under your Primary Email Address click on Resend Next to Verification Email Sent. Now Go to your Email Account and Verify your Apple Id again by clicking in the Link inside the Mail that you might have received from Apple. Now Sign In on your Device and try to make a Purchase and if it is for the first time then you will be asked to Review your Account and if you have entered your Credit/Debit card in your Account then you will have to just Enter your 3 Digits CVV Number and then click on Done. And then you can try downloading any Application from AppStore or Music from iTunes Store and check if its working.

Thanks, this was the clue I needed to figure it out.
From Settings you can pull up Control Center.
In Control Center you can enable "Access from within Apps" (also "Access from Lockscreen")
Now when I'm playing music, I can swipe up from the bottom and a little control center window slides up. Neat - this is new since my old iPod. On this window, the name of the current Bluetooth connection appears. Tap on that, and a list of connected Bluetooth items appears. I just tap on the one I want to connect to and I am now playing through the speakers I want.

For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads and including iTunes purchased songs and in some cases, videos and games) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. I use Senuti but have a look at the web pages and documentation for the others too. Shared Library shows, but nothing comes up after Loading "name Library"

Have set up Home Sharing on my WIN 7 computers. I can go to my wife's computer, see my Library and all of the various type of Media. All good. When at my computer, I see her Library, but nothing comes up after the Loading wife's Library is display. It did work when I first set it up several months ago.

This morning, in now works. I have done nothing and neither computer were even turned off. there is obviously some instability in this feature. I guess you can't rely on it and you take your chances each time you use as to whether it will work.
It would be nice if somebody (or, in my wildest dreams, Apple) knew of something that could be changed in a setting or anything that would allow this feature to work consistently.

File opens but nothing comes up

I was using Guitar Rig within one of my Logic sesssions when suddently the Logic window disappeared. The settings I had with the Guitar Rig continued to work, and I could still hear myself playing. When I went to close the Guitar Rig window it asked if I wanted to save the file, so I did.
Now, when I re-launch the file, it begins to open, I can see the audio tracks loading with other track effects, the Guitar Rig opens up again, but the Logic window itself doesn't actually show up, so I can't see the file. I thought maybe I minimized it by accident so I hit "Command M" but nothing happens. Any ideas why I can't see the Logic window with the tracks/mixer, althought the file does open?

I have not got a verification email for my password for the apple id that i created over two weeks ago. i have tried resetting my password and resending the email but nothing comes though and i can not buy anything on itunes.

so i set up another account with the same email and a new password on January 27. i have chevcked my emails every day since then and my junk email folder and there is nothing there to help me!
