Hearing FM Radio audio via Bluetooth

I have a Nokia N5230 Nuron phone and I want to hear the audio from the built in FM receiver using my Bluetooth handset. The system keeps telling me that I have to plug a wired headset to the phone. Is there a way around this?
Thanks.

Go to Solution.

If you want to listen to FM radio using a bluetooth headset you will need to buy a headset that has a built in FM radio.
The radio in the phone needs a headset to be physically attached because the wire acts as the antenna. No antenna = no radio reception. There is no way around it.

    Hi there,
You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.
Thanks, let me know if the update helps,

  • Connecting two macs audio via bluetooth

    I've got a macbook 2.4 ghz and a quad mac pro 2.8
I want to be able to hook them up via bluetooth, play audio on one and hear it on the other.
I've managed to play audio on the laptop and the mac pro seems to register it... now what do I press to monitor the audio on the mac pro?
    Thanks!
    Mike

File transfer by bluetooth is not supported on the iPhone, thus you can't do what you're trying to do. There are some apps in the app store that permit game playing by bluetooth & photo sharing, but only iPhone to iPhone, & both phones have to have the app installed.

  • 3gs (3.1.3) trouble streaming audio via bluetooth to car

thanks in advance for the help. im kinda new to this kind of stuff, but im trying to get my iphone to stream music via bluetooth through my car (range rover with stock stereo). I have the devices recognizing each other, and the phone is working through blue tooth, but i can't stream audio. the blue tooth icon is lit up at the top of the phone, and im under the impression a blue tooth icon should appear next to the volume bar in my itunes for streaming, but this isnt appearing. anyone have any ideas? also, is it possible to stream from a thrid party app like pandora? again thanks for any help that can be offered.

still no luck. I have the phone working via bluetooth through the speakers perfectly, but have no idea how to stream my ipod via bluetooth. The bluetooth icon is lit up at the top of the phone, but one does not appear when the ipod is activated to start streaming. anyone have any ideas?

  • Awful audio via bluetooth

Hello, i had an iPhone 5S and used to play songs via spotify in my vw bluetooth radio and the sound were very good.Yesterday, i changed my phone for a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge running Android 5.0.1 and now, playing in the same bluetooth radio, the songs have a very bad audio. Even if I try to equalize the songs via the equalizer, they're simply distorted.  Any tips that i can change this? I'm adapting on androind, since it's my first android phone. Have I made something wrong?PS: I'm a premium user, and downloaded the songs in the extreme quality. Thanks for any further help.

Hello & welcome to the Community!
If you totally turn off the equalizer, the sound still sounds bad?
Also a clean reinstallation might help.
To perform a clean reinstallation follow these steps:
From the home screen, tap Settings > Apps.
Find Spotify in your list of apps.
If you're able to, tap Clear Data and Clear Cache.
Tap Uninstall to remove the app.
Turn your device off and then back on.
Open Google Play then search for and install the Spotify Music app.
Keep in mind that a clean reinstall will delete all data stored by Spotify, so you will need to sync your offline tracks again.
    Hope this helps! ♫

  • No Video Audio via Bluetooth on 8330 Curve

I have a BlackBerry 8330 Curve and recently purchased the Motorola S9 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones. The device was paired and connected and I have no trouble listening to my music files, answering calls, placing calls or any other controls. The only problem I've had is the fact that I can't get the audio on video files to play via the Bluetooth Headphones. I have tried this on other 8330 Curves and experienced the same problem. However, on other BlackBerrys' (the storm etc.) the audio on video files play great. A work around or any information on how to correct this would be greatly appreciated. FYI, I have also tried the same with a different make Bluetooth Headphone and get the same scenario.

    > Now under control panel -> sound -> Playback tab, I have speakers and headphones (didn't previously have headphones) as device, but nothing else showing, even with right click selection of show disabled and show disconnected devices.
and what happen when you install the newest Realtek HD audio manager from the Realtek driver page?
By the way: I found an [HDMI Control Manager |http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory =2&selFamily=2&selSeries=152&selProduct=17255&selS hortMod=null&language=13&selOS=all&selType=all&yea rupload=&monthupload=&dayupload=&useDate=null&mode =allMachines&search=&action=search&macId=&country= all&selectedLanguage=13&type=all&page=2&ID=83022&O SID=30&driverLanguage=42] for download but this is released only for Win 7
However, try to install this driver/tool and check if it helps.
In worst case you would need to reset the notebook back to factory settings.

  • Video Audio via bluetooth mic?

When asking while purchasing the z10 this past saturday, I asked if this particular bluetooth headseat would allow me to record audio while recording videos from the phone (think remote mic for improved audio quality while at some distance from the phone itself.)  Thus far, I've not been able to produce any effect.  While recording video, with the bluetooth headset active and synced, i still only get audio from the camera's mic itself.
Tell me there's a solution for this... perhaps a v-casting app that is smart enough to pull audio from the headset on demand, etc.

Skype does not yet support video on the Mac, so the best you can do Mac to PC on Skype right now is audio to audio.
Using the iSight camera as the Skype microphone often doesn't work very well, so you probably would be better off using a built-in microphone (if you have one) or an external USB microphone like the Logitech USB Desktop Microphone.
If you want to discuss it further, you can try video connecting to my Mac at [email protected]

  • A2DP Audio via Bluetooth

(Nokia 5300 can play Mp4 files and it has a first class rate 1.3MP camera with no flash though)
    CHeeRios!!!
sorry, but i think you are wrong, 6233 has A2DP even from the beginning...
i don't think there will be any upgrade at all for those without A2DP, coz it involves BT profiles that needs to be embedded on the chip- firmware and it is also regulated and requires a new round of approval from the BT governing body, so unless that particular handset is approved to have that BT profile, it will not be changed
a very good example is N91... when it got its BT approval it was already approved to have A2DP profile, but the 1st N91 did not have A2DP... A2DP was only included for the N91 8GB coz it is equipped to have it, and no re-approval is required coz it is already approved to have A2DP profile... hence, bottom line it involves, firmware, hardware and approval...

  • No Outgoing Audio via Bluetooth Handsfree Device

My 8330 pairs easily with a Motorola 305T handsfree device, and the incoming audio is fine.  However, there is no outgoing audio transmisson.  After reading other posts, I have tried all suggestions such as removing battery, deleting device and reinstalling, ensuring BB and 305T device handsfree profiles are selected.,   The BB profiles are all selected and the device properties reflect handsfree profile.  One interesting note is that when I make a call and press the BB menu button, it is on mute. I try to change that, which one should not have to do for handsfree app anyway, but though there is a choice to 'activitate the 305 device', this does nothing.  Though in the automatic 'mute' mode, the 305T speaker is sounding the incoming audio loudly.    However, there is NO outgoing audio transmission.  Saw on Motorola site the the handsfree profiles must be the same.  How does one confirm  or modify that?  What other suggestions are there?

    Janets,
My personal rule re new APPs is no more than one per day so I can  test 'em in my phone one at a time.  So far the only APP that negatively affected my Charge phone was Juice Defender, a power saving battery APP.  It's now gone!
I also write down the date each APP was installed so I have the sequence of installation in case a problem starts a couple of days later.

  • IPhone 5s with hearing aids via Bluetooth. Need to use the phone for voice, what's the best distance that the mic will pick up your voice

I wear hearing aids that are made for Apple, the audio will go into the hearing aids via Bluetooth. I'll need to use my phone for voice only.. I drive for work and have a wok oh one too and both are synced to a bluetooh headset (LG). I'm trying to figure out how to talk on both phones ( use speakerphone on work phone?) without using a bluretooh headset.  I don't know the range of the microphone on the IPHON, thinking about hanging it around my neck or put the phone into a stand/holder on the dash and use the speakerphone feature.  Looking for ideas to make this simple

You can't do anything with that problem.
Take your iPhone to the closest Apple Store and they will give you new one for 200€/$ or if you bought your iPhone in less than 12 months you will get it for free.

  • Audio streaming from phone to yoga 2 pro via bluetooth issue

    Hi everyone,
I have got a Yoga pro 2 recently and the problem I'm having is that I;m unable to stream audio from my Nexus 5 phone to the pc through bluetooth. The device and the pc paired normally during setup. Though I find it odd that when I turn off bluetooth connectivity on the phone and turn it back on, the pc does not automatically connect so I have to unpair or remove and redo a new find and pair for the two. Ok, now the problem is after the connection is set nothing happens and there is no way to stream the audio to the yoga pc running windows 8.1. On my other pc, a Sony Vaio, also running win 8.1 pro (upgraded from win 8 pro) , once the phone and the Sony are paired via bluetooth, a windows pops out to immediately play the audio. I have check all the bluetooth drivers and they are up to date, and I even downloaded bluetooth drivers from lenovo support but no change. What's missing? Why can I not stream audio via BT? Why nothing happens when connected?

Bluetooth tethering is sharing your phone's internet connection with the computer, that's why there is an extra charge.  This is not what you want.  I would go into the bluetooth settings of both your phone and computer to make sure you are not missing something.  Also, an easier solution (bluetooth is unbearably slow for file transfer) may be to look into the app called AirDroid.  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sand.airdroid&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5zYW5kLmFpcmRyb2lkIl0.

  • IPhone 5 audio issues when paired with surround sound via Bluetooth.

iPhone 5 has developed audio issues since ios7 updates when its connected to surround sound system via Bluetooth. Audio jumps and skips in erratic and unpredictable manner on music app and worse on third party apps such as YouTube  . Have restored phone from factory settings etc. Have also checked surround sound for fault with Bluetooth; iPhone 4 ios7 works fine, android works fine but newest iPod touch with ios7 appears to have developed same issue as iPhone 5 since ios7 updates. Advise people to check for this issue on their Bluetooth devices and any advice would be appreciated on this issue  :)

    Hey there Vxas,
It sounds like you are gettings some very unexpected behaviour from the iPhone to your bluetooth surround sound system. I would try the troubleshooting recommended in this article:
iOS: How to troubleshoot Bluetooth connections
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4562
Check that you are in range of the Bluetooth device with which you are trying to pair your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Most Bluetooth devices have a range of approximately 30 feet.
On your iOS device, tap Settings > Bluetooth and find your device in the list. If your device says Not Connected, tap the name of your device to attempt to connect it.
Tap Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and then on again.
Make sure that your Bluetooth accessory is turned on and fully charged or connected to power.
    Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Bluetooth and locate the Bluetooth accessory you are currently connected to or attempting to connect to. Then tap and Forget this Device. Try to pair your Bluetooth accessory again.
Note: You may need to re-enter your Bluetooth accessory PIN if your accessory requires one. Some common PINs are 0000, 1111, and 1234.
Restart your Bluetooth accessory by turning it off and then on again1.
Update your device to the latest version of software. See how to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
If your Bluetooth accessory has upgradeable firmware, check to see that you have the latest version1, 2.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling
