Hebrew dictionaries and flashcards apps Definitely ios 7 problem because same apps displayed properly in previous ios versions also checked flashcards sqlite database on pc and the cards display properly. I'm curious to know if anyone else is experiencing this problem and knows a fix for it or a way to report the problem to Apple.

To recap: the markings are being displayed far left of their proper positions essentially symbolizing incorrect sounds. This actually has nothing to do with the apps but actually has to do with how ios7 displays Hebrew. I have a number of Hebrew applications which have all been affected in the same manner. So, I checked a few things in order to come to the aforementioned conclusion. Firstly, I downloaded a sqlite format 3 browser and checked the sql file which is compiled of the flashcards I’ve created from within the flashcards app on my pc and the nikud displays just fine. Therefore there’s nothing wrong with the database just how the information is being displayed, then I opened up a mobile web application dictionary on my phone which displays the nikud properly and copy/pasted the entry into the stock iPhone Notes app and experienced the same problem. Leading me to believe that ios 7 simply isn’t displaying the information properly. Additionally, I noticed that when I tried doing the same thing in a new flashcard in the flashcards app I obviously encountered the same problem but also learned something else: that though the word was initially right adjusted when I pasted it into the text field, after I exit that window and then return to the same window the word is left adjusted leading me to believe that apple simply forgot to add right-to-left language support into ios 7

Hi, I bought 2 songs off itunes. I have synced my classic and shuffle with no problems. The new songs show ok in my libary but when i view my iphone 5 in itunes these songs appear greyed out with a ring of dots to the left and will not sync to my iphone?

F4 Help icon is displaying left hand side in ALV Grid

Hi,
For only one field, F4 Help icon is displaying left hand side in editable ALV of custom report which is using custom table. other fields f4 on same report is showing right hand side. The difference i see for the field F4 showing left side has domain values maintained and f4 showing right hand side has value table maintained. Please help me to display the F4 on right side.

1 faded dot on the left side of verizon logo?

i just bough my incredible and i been discovering the phone. But when i was out side and the sun hit my phone i could see a dot on the left side of the verizon logo. just wanted to know what does it do?

The "Use custom settings for history" selection allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
Firefox shows "Use custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
"Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a checkmark.
The default settings mean that cookies are enabled and thus should work.
Did you try to delete the cookies from the bank site?
Details like websites remembering you (log you in automatically) are stored in a cookie.
*Create a cookie 'allow' exception to keep such cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
*Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions
In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history:
*do not clear the Cookies
*do not clear the Site Preferences
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.

Address to be printed in Hebrew language (RTL-Right to Left).

We have an issue with address prining in SAP Script form. The form (FI-Invoice) is in English, but recipient address is maintained in Hebrew (RTL-Right to Left). The Hebrew text is printed normal LTR, means it looks mirror imaged compared to actual Hebrew text.
I have tred with all options in ADDRESS command below, but could not get the (only) address printed in Hebrew /RTL orientation.
The option LANGUAGE has no effect, I don't know why!!
I have also tried the ITCPP-TDRTL in CLOSE_FORM but no use.

Randow video dots on display

Having a problem with random video dots that blink on and off on my IMAC27 that is 210 vintage machine. If I shutdown the machine and re-start they disappear for awhile but do come back. I am running the latest version of Maverick. I have read that it maybe a software related problem with one of the applications but really can not determine which one is causing assuming that this is the problem. I would think it probably is a hardware issue.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what was done to resolve it.

A proper repair would be replacing the screen but a low cost or should l say no cost solution is to move the screen. Does pushing the right bottom side of the screen FORWARD remove the pixels, try flexing the screen gently, the problem is the actual lcd electronics not any cable that can be replaced.
I know the ibook l repaired had the screens bezel coming away at the bottom right and pushing it forward stopped the blue pixels, he replaced the lcd but l salvaged it and glued it to the bezel fixing it

F4 Help icon is being displayed left hand side

         I'm using explicit search help for the field WBS Element in one of the Ztable. In maintenance screen of this table the F4 help icon is being displayed on left hand side instead of right side of the field. Please help me with your suggestions and what might be the problem.

I used that WBS field as one of the field in ztable. When i want to maintain data or display the contents of this ztable, F4 help of WBS element column is shown left side.
      I try showing that in figure format.

IMac (Mid 2007) - Black / Purple dots on display

I am having a problem with my Intel iMac display. I don't want to write a long story, so I'll try to keep it short:
1) October 2008 - My iMac Super Drive started making a funny noise when playing DVD movies (It was a Pioneer one), I took it in for repair at my local Apple Store, it was replaced with a Matshita one. I get my iMac back with black dots on the screen.
2) November 2008 - I took my computer back in to get the display cleaned up, after a few weeks , I get it back with the same dots only in different places.
3) January 2009 - I took my computer back in and got it back with 3-4 dots that won't go away, Apple Store guys can't do more. I decided to remove the screen cover and tried cleaning it myself. No luck, the 3-4 dots I can see (there are more perhaps) won't go away and I now believe they're dead or stuck pixels.
I tried stuck pixel killing tools online for hours, no luck. If I try to take a screenshot, you can't see anything. I even thought "wth?" and re-installed the OS and all apps and stuff, thinking it could be a software issue = Nothing.
4) February 2009 - I wrote a formal complaint to Apple based on all my knowledge about customer satisfaction issues (I work @ HP), even a Project Manager helped me out. I sent 3 letters, 1 to each address I could find that supposedly has a Customer Relations Dept.
It's been a little over a week, I'm obviously not expecting an answer yet, but being realistic, I doubt they're ever gonna respond or do something, think about it, it's 4 dead pixels.
The point I tried to make in my letters was that this was not caused by me and that the display was perfectly fine before I took my iMac in for repair the first time and that my local Apple Store has failed to fix the issue.
That is what I'm holding on to, that they'll realize they messed it up and it was not my fault and this was not caused by regular use either.
So, I got the letter in case anyone would mind reading it. But the purpose of my post is to ask you what I can expect as a customer or if you actually believe it's gonna be easier to win the lottery than having them do something about this. Maybe somebody out there had a similar experience like this and has something to say.
Maybe this seems ridiculous, but just think, you bought a brand new car and it has a scratch, it may be big or tiny, but there's a scratch, wouldn't you be mad?
My comp just turned 1 year old in January and it's covered under an AppleCare extended service plan til 2011.

I've pushed in the RAM modules so hard that my fingers hurt. I'm pretty sure they're installed fully, since replacing the original RAM works no problem and I'm not pushing any harder to put those in. I suppose I could try one more time to double check.
I have a couple 2GB modules in my ASUS, so I'll try taking one of those out and see if that works. I thought that each slot was limited to 1GB so I never thought to try that.

when I create captions with mixed Hebrew and English characters or numbers, the caption is displayed all mixed up.
Is there a fix for this issue ?

I hope you have upgraded to the latest captivate version 8.0.1.242. If not please follow the steps mentioned on this post Adobe Captivate Help | Adobe Captivate 8 patch. Make sure to remove layouts and preferences as mentioned in the link.
There is an issue with text in case of multi-hierarchal bullets but apart from that other things should work fine. You might just have to change some position parameters to fix the results. Displaying left justified readonly text

Anyone have any ideas as to how we can display readonly text left justified?
Form doesn't cut it because everything is centered, and I don't need labels to display my data.
TextBox doesn't cut it, because I don't want the data to be editable.
Canvas... Man talk about a head ache. First there is NO title bar (like the rest of the application, so I would need to draw one first), and then I would have to implement all of the line wrapping, and scrolling etc.
I even thought about alert, but feel it would probably look ghetto.
I just want a textbox that isn't editable. Anyone have any thoughts

Why do you blame the Form? It has alignment options and i guess default is left-aligned (why centered???) Then use String to append the string to a form.

I have already used this approach to display readonly text. The one thing i don't like is that the form scrolls the text screen by screen, not line by line. Does somebody knows how to scroll line by line?

Grey Dots on Display

I have a 6 month old MBP. About 2 months ago I noticed a large grey dot about 2 mm in diameter on the bottom of the screen. Would have taken it in but I am in Europe until next month.
Today I noticed 4 - 6 more in the vicinity of the larger dot. It seems they are multiplying.
Is this what a dead pixel looks like on an LED?
Anyone know Apple's policy on this?
Does there have to be a certain number of pixels dead or defective before they replace it?

Hey, I bought my MBP in Jan 07 and by May I started to notice grey spots on my screen and also what looked like a hair in my screen. Well what looked like a hair might have actually been a hair and eventually disappeared at the bottom of the screen. Once I got out of school i took my MBP to a mac store and they replaced the screen. I was only without my laptop for about 4 days.
I have started noticing grey dots again on my replacement screen starting last month, and will be bringing in my MBP tomorrow...
