Hebrew on my ipod 5

I've seen that ipod nano 5gen support hebrew language but it didn't in my Ipod menu... how can I ebale hebrew on it?

"Hebrew appears towards the bottom of the list of possible languages for me."
You are absolutely right! The languages on my iPod are in alphabetical order with language symbols on the very botton.
I rechecked the bottom list & noticed the Hebrew symbols.
Still strange that Hebrew is not listed in english in alphabetical order w/the rest of the english written languages.

  • Why can't I read a file with Hebrew on my iPod?

I recently purchased a new iPod (30GB, color, video) thinking I would be able to, among other things, see Hebrew song titles and read Hebrew files. I found a small patch that will let the iPod display Hebrew song titles and album names but it has no effect on reading text files.
In the past I have studied Chinese, and my son is learning Japanese, and we are able to put study notes on our iPods and read them with no problem. So I thought reading my personal Hebrew docs on the iPod would be Just as easy. But no luck! Hebrew letters don't even appear on the screen! Please tell me there's a fix.
I have tried using TextEdit. Saving the document in "plain Text" format, and saving it to the iPod "notes" folder. Result: Nothing appears on the iPod screen when I try to view the doc.
I have tried using MS Word 2004. Saving the document as "unicode" and putting it in the iPod "notes" folder. Result: All English words appear properly but the Hebrew letters are completely gone.
    I am using a Mac G4, running OS 10.3.9
I have several Hebrew fonts installed:
    New Peninim MT
    Corsiva Hebrew
    Arial Hebrew
    Lucida Grande
    Raanana
    Cardo
SBL Hebrew (this is the only font that I can choose in MS Word 2004 when I am saving as unicode)
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you for the info and links. I never actually read anything from Apple about Hebrew not being supported. Since I was able to use other languages, of seemingly greater complexity, I assumed that Hebrew would work. The patch I was speaking of (that makes Hebrew song titles, etc readable) is actually not a hack. It was developed by a student in an Israeli university and purchased by Apples regional distributor (Yeda Inc., Apple's Israeli distributor). The software is called iPodHE.

I did read somewhere that they are working with Apple to resolve a conflict with the latest version of iTunes and iPodHE v2.0.
Maybe this will be useful to someone.

  • Is It Goinig to be an HEBREW support for ipod touch 2g

    Hello,
I would like to know if it is going to be an HEBREW support in version 2.2 in ipod touch 2g.
In israel there is an hebrew support for ipod touch 1g.

I would like to know if it is going to be an HEBREW support in version 2.2 in ipod touch 2g.
You are just talking to other users like yourself here. Nobody can possibly know the answer, and Apple itself never provides advance info on such feature additions.
In israel there is an hebrew support for ipod touch 1g.
    Not from Apple.

  • Hebrew support for IPod

Can anyone tell me if they know of any available updates to allow viewing Hebrew fonts on the ipod? It seems that ITunes displays Hebrew fonts but once imported to the ipod all I get is blanks!
    Thanks

You can't use Hebrew fonts in the iPod, but you CAN install Hebrew for the iPod.
Use this link to download the installation:
    http://www.yeda.co.il/iPodHE/download.html
You need to fill in some info and send it to Yeda, and you will get a link to downlaod the installation itself.
The app. itself is in beta stage, but it is working great.

  • Full Hebrew language for iPod

    Hello.
Me and my friends made Hebrew support for the iPod.
It contains FULL menus in Hebrew and support for Hebrew songs.
We made it instead of the Norwegian language, but it compatible with every iPod (of course, not Shuffle ).
We are willing to sell it to Apple, but we dont publish it for free and at all (rights viloation and stuff).
We made it by hacking to the logic drive of the iPod (34 mega bytes, "invisible").
    write me what u think

    bro
i mentioned it - Yeda cant do what we did, they just did songs support (songs in hebrew are visible, and invisible in the regualr firmware) and just it.
we support songs and even the menus are in hebrew
and its a copyright vilation sooooo.......i dont distribut it

  • Hebrew on an ipod

does anybody know when apple will add hebrew support for the ipod?
I don't wanna use the 3rd person software since apple won't support it in case of a problem, meaning no warrenty.

iPod support in Hebrew is available from www.yeda.co.il. Look in the support folder there, for ipodHE. It supports all models including the 5G. As far as warranty issues, Yeda is the Israeli authorized distributor for Apple products, so if you are there, you are covered.
Hope it works out for you.

I don't think you can, the iPod has never supported Hebrew (or Arabic or a number of other languages). What it does support is spelled out in detail in the specs for the product:

Sometimes the dealers in Israel have something you can add-on, check here:

  • International languages don't appear on iPod

In iTunes I have songs named in Hebrew but when I view those songs on iPod their names are blank. Are there any plans to have future firmware supposed non-English characters such as Hebrew?

The iPod doesn't officially support the Hebrew language but there is this:

You might want to put a suggestion to Apple here.

  • Why can't I answer a call with speaker on?

    iPhone 6; iOS 8.1.
Generally when I'm at home I want to answer calls with the speaker on, but I don't see any way to do this [see note below]. Instead, I have to slide to answer, wait 1-3 seconds for the audio button to appear (bluetooth is enabled), and then touch "Speaker". In the interval, the caller hears nothing while perhaps saying, "Hello? Hello?". So if I want to converse with speaker on, I have to say, "Hold on" first, touch Audio and then Speaker.
Note: I generally do NOT want to answer with speaker on when I'm away from home. There is a setting that I could theoretically use when departing and when returning home. The setting requires: touch Settings, touch General, touch Accessibility, scroll down, touch Call Audio Routing, and touch either Automatic (when leaving home), or Speaker (when returning).  That is not only too onerous, but I'm likely to forget to do it anyway.
Am I overlooking a way to answer with speaker on? If not, wouldn't it be easy enough for Apple to put an appropriate button to do this on the incoming-call screen?
