Heeeeeeeeeeelp Boyfriend in distress
Today my girlfriend went to best buy to purchase the ps3 bundle that comes with The last of us. She asked the associate to get the bundle and a copy of gta 5 for her. She went home and set up her ps3 then she opened the game but soon after realized that the associate had giver her an xbox 360 version of gta 5. Is it possible for her to exchange it for a ps3 copy since it was the associates negligence and not her own?

I’m really sorry that your girlfriend ended up with a copy of GTA V for Xbox 360 when she needed the PS3 version. While we do require games be unopened for returns, opened titles can be exchanged for the identical item. This is a bit of a unique situation since she needs to exchange for the same title, just on a different platform. I would encourage her to head back to the store with the game and the receipt to see if they’re able to accommodate. I can’t guarantee what the outcome will be, but hopefully they can get this taken care of for her.

This article can help you find out if there are any conflicts between your copy of Windows XP and iTunes, and can tell you what to do if there are. Before going down the troubleshooting route though, you should take a look at this article, which can help you back up your entire iTunes library to an external hard drive, so if this issue is recurring, you will be able to restore from that backup and will not have to worry about losing your playlists or music again:

To use iTunes, you need to first backup your old iPhone to this computer, then you can restore your new iPhone from this backup on this computer.

Back in October my boyfriend and I had gotten iphone 4's together. I was on his plan so I just activated my phone on his itunes and used his appleID. Since then we had broken up and I had gotten a new apple ID and everything worked fine. Until now I have had no need to use Itunes, but I just downloaded it on my moms laptop and tried to connect to it and it tells me I can only be connected to one library and if i want i cant disconnect from the old one and start with this one, but it will delete all my data and pics and videos......and im not happy at all. The whole icloud thing less than pleases me so that is not an option. Is there any way around this????? I will NOT have my phone earased and I cannot continue to use his laptop for itunes. Pretty dumb mac, if ya ask me.

Your conversations will not deleted if you sync with your iTunes.
What is the problem with iCloud? iCloud has nothing to do with iTunes syncing. -

Okay, so I cracked my iPhone 5 and just got a new 5s in the mail. I'm using the same number, sim and everything. My latest backup was on March 14th, 2013. My boyfriend uses my Apple ID for a year now but we just recently got each others contacts and now we receive each other's messages. Will we lose that setting if I don't back my phone up before switching new phones? Cause I didn't have that setting before when it was last backed up. If I could back it up I would but I don't have nearly enough storage so that's why I'm asking lol. We want to keep the setting like that so we still get each others contacts and everything
You can always resync the Contacts, Notes, and Messages by signing into those services with the same AppleID once you have the new phone set up.

My boyfriend knew my apple id and my password and when we broke up he changed it and he changed my alternate e-mail address so i cannot restore it. The problem is that my iPhone activation is linked to iCloud. What can i do? I have old password and old alternate e-mail.
Take it and its purchase receipt to a physical Apple Store and/or click here and contact Apple's Account Security team.

I strongly suggest not doing this. This can lead to a 90 day disabling of one account if you download past purchases with another. So this is not a good thing to be doing.
For anything else you can sign in & out, but its still not very practical. iOs was just not designed as a multiuser device. -
Can I use one app on one machine while my boyfriend uses a different app on his machine?

A single subscription allows you to have two working installations, however only one of those subscription's installations can be in use at any given time. You would need two subscriptions if you want to use two installations at the same time.

I have an iPhone sync'd to my iTunes. My boyfriend has his own iPhone with his iTunes account set up within it. We want to sync his iPhone to my iTunes account on the PC but we want to retain everything from both phones and the iTunes account. Is this possible? Help!

No. If you connect his phone to your iTunes account/computer, ALL iTunes content on his phone will be erased. By design, iPhone syncs or manually manages iTunes content with ONE computer at a time. -

Does your boyfriend not have his own computer? Reason being, the iPhone syncs with ONE computer at a time. Thus, he he tries to sync with any other computer(after setting up on yours), ALL iTunes content will first be erased from his phone.
If he doesn't have his own computer, setup a separate computer login on your computer. Let him use that login & his own iTunes account. No chance your data will be intermingled, and if things don't work out, all you have to do is delete the account . -
i got my iphone 4 off my boyfriend as mine had broke and he upgraded to a 5c.
And the other day i restored my iphone by mistake and now it's not letting me on it unless i give the password to the account which neither of us have, or cannnot get hold of. Is there another way around this? or not?No there is no way around this.

You cannot use that ID without a credit card. You did not create your account correctly. There is very specific way in which you must create your account if you do not want to use a credit card. If you don't have a credit card, you will have to start all over again.
1. You will have to sign out of that ID before you can create a new one. Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID>Sign out.
2. You cannot use the email address that you used for the first ID that you created. You will need to use another email address now
3. You have to download a free app in order to start the new Apple ID process.

Iphone can have music from one and only one computer/library.
When you buy music you do not buy the right to distribute that music to others. You only have the right to your own personal use.
It is illegal to give your music to others.
