Hello, can anyone assist with troubleshooting?

My MacBook Air does not automatically display on an external (LG E1942C) screen.
Cables and adaptor connected.
Mac says it doesn't have the application to run the installation drivers provided with the screen.
There does seem to be a degree of synching (wireless mouse moves across both screens), but basically my Macbook screen isn't displaying on the external.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

Thanks, I've tried changing the resolution in displays (and fiddled with colour and arrangement), but to no avail.
Oh, silly me, just realised I had to turn on mirroring!!!

Can anyone assist? For the past week I have been unable to add new contacts to the application and am having to input them manually. It takes a while too, as the app has sloed down tremendously.
I have around 1900 contacts in there but can't imagine that is the reason?
Can anyone assist in whether I can fix the problem or update anything? Or suggest an alternative contacts application?

I had a similar issue as you did -- for a few weeks now I've been suffering through agonizingly slow Contacts performance.
The way I resolved it was:
1) Quit Contacts
2) Go to system preferences and go into iCloud, then uncheck contacts -- choosing to delete from mac.
3) Go into system preferences and to Internet Accounts and again uncheck contacts under any of the accounts it's enabled on (gmail, yahoo, etc).
4) Go to your user's library folder (easiest way is to open a finder window, hold down the option key on the keyboard and from the Go menu, select Library).
5) Delete anything referring to Address book or com.apple.address book....   -- check these folders in particular:
     - Address Book
     - Application Support
     - Caches
     - Preferences
6) Restart your computer
7) Go back into System preferences and enable contacts from wherever you want (iCloud, etc.)
8) If it's not quite enabling (appears to enable, but checkbox doesn't show), then do one more restart of the computer.
9) Now open Contacts and allow it to sync

Can anyone assist with a report that extracts the External ID field in the CRM

I have a membership system where the client has imported 3600+ records some of which had the Eternal ID ('Your ID field on the import file) set and some don't.
The trouble is I need to update all the CRM records and can't import the changes as I don't know what the original external id value is. Business Catalyst support advised that they can't include this field in any report (don't get me started on that...) and I am now desperately in need of some way to get that data which is on the file and is critical to any further updates via the import files. I would delete all the records and start again except that there is no bulk delete option in BC CRM - yes you can do it in products but not CRM or Web Apps...!!! The only option available in BC is to delete one screen list at a time but then I have the issue that this matter does not relate to all CRM records - only those whio are members of a secure zone.
My need is urgent so any assistance free or otherwise would be approeciated and the solution needs to be one that enables me to run such an export on an irregular basis.

BC in its usual style of help documentation, are not at all clear in their explanation of how the Unique Id (which is actually the field 'External ID' in th CRM under the Misc section). Below is the description extracted from the import template
The above columns represent all the available columns that can be imported using the standard contact import feature. Columns do not need to contain information but they must be present on the page, especially if a proceeding column contains information.
If your organization uses its own unique identification number to differentiate between customers then use the Your ID column. If a value is present in this column then it will serve as the unique identifier. This means if the contact was previously imported and it is being re-imported then his or her details are updated, otherwise a new contact record is created regardless of whether a similar contact already exists in the system.
If the Your ID column is not used then contacts are generally identified by their email address. The minimum requirement to import a contact into the system is that either Your ID, Email Address, Fullname, firstname or last name must be present on a single row. If these values are missing the the row is not imported and the import will move to the next row.
If you don't provide Your ID nor an email address and only a name then the contact is added each time regardless of whether a similar one already exists in the system.
Now my understanding is that if you have used the Your Id then being the unique identifier and as such all future imports would have to use that... Well no this isn't the case at all.
If you import a set of records that all use the Your Id you can simply update those same records with just the email address - you don't need to Your Id or External Id at all!!! So what is the purpose of this field at all? I have no idea myself as it can't be reported, it can't be exported, it can't be referenced - in fact the only way you will ever see it is to open the CRM record and expand the Misc details and buried at the bottom you will find it. Now that is what I call an undocumented feature !
So end of it all is - my concerns all proved baseless and you don't have to concern yourself with the External / Your Id field no matter what the customer does.
My advice - forget this field exists and don't bother trying to use it unless you might happen to be interfacing into some 3rd party system through PAI's as this seems to be the only use I can think of for it.

A friend just bought a new iPhone 4 and he gave me his 3G iPhone. It is in excellent shape and I was hoping to get it to operate, initially as an Ipod/Itouch (without phone/internet service) and then possibly with phone/internet service) if it is possible to do it using my T-Mobile sim card and service plan. The 3G phone is a 16GB Model A1241. My friend wiped off all apps and information so the only thing that comes up when I turn it on is the diagram indicating to connect to iTunes and the emergency call function screen. I don't know which version of operating system is on it. It has a sim card in it which is for AT&T. Can someone please give me the steps (and the order in which to do each) necessary to 1. Upgrade the OS 2. Unlock the phone 3. Download the basic iphone apps 4. Use Wi-Fi (I have wireless in my house) 5. Download my music and sync such things as "notes and calendar", 6. Get the phone to operate using my T-Mobile service (I can upgrade my plan to include the internet if the phone will accommodate that function). you cannot use your pc license to install on a mac. you would need a separate license (and serial number) for that.
adobe allows platform swaps, but only with the latest (xi) version, Order product | Platform, language swap
your option to use acrobat on a mac are to upgrade to acrobat pro xi and change platforms, use a windows emulator (parallels/boot camp etc) on your mac or swap with a third party.

If you've paused the download (they are partially greyed out on the duplicates screen ?) then you will need to delete them from download window, you can't (as far as I know) delete partially downloaded items from that screen. When you have items downloading, or downloads that are paused, you should have a downward pointing arrow at the top right of the iTunes screen
If you click that arrow you should get a popup window with the items that are downloading/paused - and you should be able to select and delete them (or resume their download) from there.

I can tell you that with Sprint their coverage area isn't as good as Verizon or AT&T.
Are you sending these imessage while on wifi or cellular data? Also your husband would need to be in a good coverage area.
Usually when imessage is unavailable it will send it as a text. Does your husband receive your imessage as a text?
