Hello, ever since i installed the google toolbar, every time I click Home, a new tab opens that confirms that google toolbar is installed. I do not know if htis is a firefox issue or a google toolbar issue.

Have managed to cure it based upon the following information received -
I keep having this problem with iTunes when I try to connect my iPod Touch to iTunes. I keep getting this error message: "This iPod cannot be used because the required software is not installed".
What I did:
Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64-bit version of iTunes.
I have already done this required step about a hundred times and I am still getting this same error so if you have any idea of what I can do please help.
Solution
I was running the 64-bit version if iTunes, and I did uninstall and re-install just to make sure -- no luck. Turns out there's a really easy solution, I'll spare you the detail of how I figured it out, but if you encounter the same issue, here's the solution:
1) Using WinRAR (or any other decent archiving program), extract iTunesWindows64Setup.exe
2) Right click on AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi and choose Properties.
3) Switch to the Compatibility tab and check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" box, and select your only option, "Previous versions of Windows", in the drop-down box.
4) Click OK
5) Double click the AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi
6) Tell it to Repair your current installation
7) Done! -
After updating my MacBook Pro to yeosemite I want my old desktop picture back. I did a full back up before the install. I found the "Settings" folder in Time machine but when I try to open it I get an error message saying "You can not open this folder. It is in TimeMachine".
Can you browse the Time Machine drive from Finder?
If you can and you know where the picture was stored ie on your desktop you can browse through the folder structure to the picture copy it and paste it somewhere on your new install before right clicking it and 'set as desktop background' -

You've tried closing and re-opening iTunes and/or rebooted your computer and you have the latest version of iTunes installed ?

My iWork '09 (pages, numbers, keynote) all won't open since i downloaded the first update for Mountain Lion. When i try to open it, it just comes up with this error report:
Anybody else have this problem? Anybody know how i can fix it? Or even get round it, so i can save my documents in Microseft Word format, so I can use them if/ when i need them elsewhere?Remove (Uninstall) iWorks then reinstall then the first thing to do is run Sftware update.

How to stop this list from reverting to the short version every time I click on an item?

Are you clicking the "More" button to do this? Try using the "Discussions" tab instead, and click the "Set as default tab" option. I never use the overview tab.
.. and another thing: why can I no longer edit my own question, not even 10 seconds after I've posted it, if I momentarily go back to the main list and then return to my question?
Did you check the upper right corner? The first post of a thread is "special". You can't edit it or report it from the normal location. You can report the thread via the upper right link. I think you can edit from there too. -

I think this happens because msn.com and bing is a search engine of Microsoft, try click in links from other sites, if you get a bing search engine try start in safe mode:

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
Do they launch OK while in Safe Mode? -

You may have inadvertently installed adware. Eradicating it is simple and you don't have to download or install anything to fix it. For an explanation or how this may have occurred, how to avoid it in the future, and for one possible solution read How to install adware. -
I am using firefox 8.0.1 this only happens when I click a link that is automatically set to open in a new window, or when I choose to open a link in a new window. Firefox never remembers what I resize that window too.
