it should do as it supports upto 200GB IDE hard drives so i wouldn't think a 20GB one would be any problem (just one question here where on earth did you get a 20GB IDE hard drive as i haven't seen one of them since around 1998?)!
i struck a Deal with a Guy on Gumtree {http://www.gumtree.co.za/fp-computers-software-in-capetown-westerncape/c9199l3100001}
he wanted 2 Sticks of DDR2 RAM and he gave me 2 GB RAM DDR3. includin a 20 gig HDD and its a western digital.
Pls add me on Steam. so we can discuss further.
thanks

If system stopped at Windows loading it is most likely your Win XP. Try a fresh install.
    nah nah man
there is NOTHING On the screen NOW
THIS HAPPENED before with my previous POWER SUPPLY ;(
but then a friend at a internet cafe discovered there were two plugs that go into the top of the mobo RIGHT Above the CPU
and he switched it around [ ive tried everything ]
LAST TIME We verified whats gone wrong
IT WAS THE CMOS battery    *FACEPALM*
....anyway in other NEWS today ..... i finally download A green MSDN DVD with Server 2003 R2 32 bit and 64 bit iso including enterprise and standard.
i choose Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard with Service Pack 2 x64 becoz i tried the enterprise edition and the Drivers for The ATI RadeOn 5770 (1GB) 128 Bit DDR5 weren't installing [this was LONG back before the CMOS battery had to be changed]
i tried using compatibility mode but the device manager still showed an error.
should i just use the Microsoft 41611.iso from the GREEN MSDN DVD i found from The Pirate Bay

  • MSI DKA 790 GSX Platinum motherboard ports ?

I have recently purchased this board.  It has on it a 15 pin VGA, 15 pin DVI and HDMI connections.  What and how do we use these connections, if there is no video chipset on the board?  Does the HDMI pull audio and video from the onboard onoard video (doesnt exist) and onboard audio (Disabled) as i have a soublaster PCIe card installed for sound.
    Thanks
    GigaByte69

Should've gone to bed instead of posting.  It was 3AM and got it in my head that we were discussing the NF980.  But, there is an integrated GPU.  I believe it is the 790.  The board can not have hybrid Crossfire without having oboard of some sort--be it integrated in chipset or separate chip on the MOBO. The 790GX has integrated video in the chipset.
MSI, nor any other manufacturer, is going to put display connectors in the I/O ports unless it has onboard.  You do need to install the chipset drivers to fully use the capabilities of the ports.

Hello, how much does the iphone 4 16gb unlocked cost if i want to buy it as a gift and to use it outside USA?

If you're talking about buying the phone in the US, forget it. There are NO unlocked iPhones sold in the US and no US iPhone can be officially unlocked. Thus, it doesn't really matter what it costs.

  • Does the MSI P965 Neo-F support ECC memory?

    Can it handle 2x 1 GB DDR2 ELPIDA PC2-5300, 667 MHz, ECC
Does the MSI P965 Neo-F support ECC memory?

As mentioned by many, No ECC RAMs support.
To me, I feel that current state of art DDR II RAMs are good enough to not produced much errors and HDDs have error buffer memory of up to 16MB, so ECC makes me feels that it is a "good to have but not a must" thing nowdays.

  • Does the apple thunderbolt to ethernet dongle support promiscuous mode ?

Does the apple thunderbolt to ethernet dongle support promiscuous mode ?
I need to use the new Retina MBP as a professional laptop for work, and I need to use Etherreal. Etherreal needs the Ethernet card/dongle/chip to run in Promiscuous mode. I have heard that unblivably the thunderbolt Ethernet dongle does not support this, if so then the laptop will not pick all the packets on the wire... is this true ?
    Regs Mark.

    Hi Clinton,
Thanks for your reply, However the promiscuous mode function that I am after is a function of the Ethernet NIC hardware and driver not just the OS.
Wireshark allows the user to put network interface controllers that support promiscuous mode into that mode, in order to see all traffic visible on that interface, not just traffic addressed to one of the interface's configured addresses and broadcast/multicast traffic.
Anyone out there actually used/tested the thunderbolt Ethernet adapter to sniff traffic with wireshark (Ethereal), can you please  if it can run in promiscuous mode ?
    Thanks.

  • Does the Built-in Windows FTP Client Support a Secure Connection?

I have set up Server 2008 IIS w/ FTP. I set the SSL setting to require a secure connection. However, I can't connect to the FTP server from the built-in Windows FTP client. I CAN get it to work in FileZilla after modifying my connection properties.
Does the built-in Windows FTP client support secure connections? I received a request to set this up so our internal employees can share files with external customers. Many times our customers are unable to install any kind of third party software on their
    computers.
Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hi,
Based on my known, the built-in FTP client does not support secure connections.

    Hi,
    Please try:
    Click the Disk icon,
    Click  "Number of Disk Controller",
Look at the "Information" tab under "Drive Controller feature",
    Look at "Bandwidth".
You should see 3GB/s or 6GB/s
Note 3GB/s is for SATA 2 and 6GB/s is for SATA3

  • Does the SONY VAIO F Series SVF15412CXB support dual channel memory?

Does the SONY VAIO F Series SVF15412CXB support dual channel memory?  Or does it only have one slot?
I'm curious if I can put a second stick of RAM in there for dual channel performance.

Hi Mark, Thanks for the response.  Can you please double check that for me, or post a link to the documentation where you saw that?  I asked this question on Newegg, too, and one of the respondants heard differently:
"i found out from sony that there is only 1 slot cause i was gonna get 1 more 4GB stick of ram for 8Gb. So iwas upset about that cause i have to get 8GB now and it costs 100$ for an 8Gb stick of ram on ebay. So this ram is expensive. So im sticking with 4Gb for now. This is a very good laptop though. I use it primarily for minecarft and steam and i get around 100 fps on minecraft so its good. I hope this helps." It's just confusing because other laptop advertisments I've seen openly stated how many RAM slots the computer had and how many were used upon purchase.  I haven't found anything like that which makes me think that there's only one slot for RAM. Thanks,Gremark

  • Does the MSI Z68-G43 G3 support 8/8 PCIe 2.0 lanes (for SLI/CF)

    Hello,
    The MSI webpage states
    Quote
        • 1 PCI Express gen3 x16 slot, 1 PCI Express gen2 x16 slot
        • 2 PCI Express gen2 x1 slots
        • 3 PCI slots, support 3.3V/ 5V PCI bus Interface
for the MSI Z68-G43 G3. It doesn't say whether the board can run the 16 PCIE 2.0 Lanes in 8/8 configuration. My current (Gigabyte P67A-D3-B3) board can only do 16/4, so I am considerung moving to this board for Crossfire. Does anyone know if 8/8 2.0 is possible with this board and a Sandy Bridge CPU?
    Regards
    chris

SLI is not possible on this board.
The PCI-E 2.0 slot is equipped with only 4 lanes.

    PCI-E Gen : Gen3 (1x16), Gen2 (1x4)
    Thanks for the help, Remus!
I am now looking to get a Z77A-GD55 instead. It is specified as PCI-E Gen : Gen3 (16, 16), Gen2(4) so it should be fine (Sandy Bridge only reduces it to Gen2 (16, 16) instead of Gen3 (16, 16), right?).
    They are somewhat hard to find, though, unlike the Z68A-GD65-G3 with Gen3 (16/0, 8/8) and Z68A-GD80-G3 with Gen3 (16/0, 8/8), Gen2 (1x4) . So I'll see what I can get.

  • Does the MSI 6340 Motherboard accept double-sided RAM?

I have an MSI 6340M motherboard.  According to the manual, it supports up to two 168-pin unbuffered SDRAM DIMMs, and supports a maximum memory size of 1GB.
Right now, I have two single-sided PC133 DIMMs loaded into the motherboard, which feature 128 MB each.  Seeing as how I only have a total of 256 MB of RAM, I was thinking of buying two 512 MB DIMMs to max out my computer's memory capabilities.
I have been looking at RAM auctions on Ebay, and it seems that every 512MB stick of PC133 SD-RAM is double-sided.  I cannot find any specific information in the manual that I downloaded for my motherboard which indicates whether or not dual-sided SD-RAM DIMMs are compatible with the MSI-6340 motherboard.  Can you please tell me if they are?
Also, even if my motherboard IS compatible with double-sided RAM sticks, will the double-sided nature of the DIMMs negatively affect how well my computer can process data?  Someone once told me that double-sided RAM sticks do not process information as well as single-sided RAM sticks, but I don't know if that advice is true, or to what extent.

As long as the 512gig sticks are 64meg x 64 sticks, they should work.  Do not use high density memory.
Here is a link to Crucial's web site where the memory stick is listed so you can gather more info on what will work.
