Aha! I have sorted it.
For those with similar problems, the solution is this:
Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > MIDI Drivers
Then delete DigiDioMidiDriver.plugin

Well, if you updated to 8.2, then you are living in a different world than the rest of us. 8.1 was just released on Monday.
Do you not have an iCloud or iTunes backup that you can restore to? Have you not been importing your photos to a photo library on your computer?
Maybe you could start from the beginning and we can see if we can help. If you had to restore your device, and you have absolutely no backups, then, I'm afraid you are out of luck. However, if you have backups, or if you have been importing your photos on a regular basis, then probably most of your stuff can be recovered.

My Creative Suite CS6 products shut down immediately after I open them. They were working fine before. What happened? What can I do to fix this?

I bought a boxed version of Creative Suite CS6 (Design & Web Premium) in March and all the products were working fine for a few months. But now they shut down as soon as I open them. Any advice??

It sounds like something changed on your system to cause the problem. You should not have to sign up for Creative Cloud.
The safe thing to do would be to first clean up your copies of CS6 with the Adobe Cleaner tool:

I am trying to make a Presentation to email for others to see without a browser, but when I do, it doesn't show. I've downloaded Adobe Flash Player 10.0 r22, I've built the presentation, I've published the presentation and uploaded to my hosting. I have tried everythiing I can think of. It works on my machine; however, when I try to view it out of it's containing folder, it doesn't show anything but the preloader. Can someone please help me?
I can send you an example of a working Presentation along with a Zip file containing my presentation with everything I've built if my explanation isn't quite clear. Please help.

All my bookmarks have disapered, tried to recover them as per the instructions on the help site, but no good. And now firefox wont let me make anymore bookmarks, says they're bookmarked but nothing in bookmark drop down menu, please help

All my bookmarks suddenly disapered, tried recovering them as per the instructions on the help page, but no matter what date i try it fails saying no backup! Now firefox says bookmark added when i try to add them but nothing appears in the bookmarks drop down mene, so i cant even add my old bookmarks manually, driving me mad please help.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Interesting that I had not uploaded or changed anything prior - I am so careful about that. Something had gone corrupt though.

Log out of the iTunes Store on your device:
Settings>iTunes & App Store...tap your Apple ID, then select "Sign Out"
Reset your device:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.
After the device has restarted, sign back in to the App Store as above.

Hi paulique, the simplest next test would be to disable all plugins and extensions (except Shockwave Flash, which is pretty much indispensable) here, restart Firefox, and see whether your font works without them:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Plugins category<br>

I had the same issue! My 24" 2008 iMac was working perfectly. Yesterday I used my BootCamp partition and when I went back to my Mac OS I couldn't connect to the internet!
The computer looks like it's connected but it won't navigate at all! I tried to verify the network settings and when I tried to do that my System Preferences app hang-up. I had to Force quit it and reboot the computer couple of times to double check.
Then I run de Disk utility to verify the disk & permissions and the scan result was that the disk was not repairable, I had to make a timeMachine backup of my personal data and completely format my HD including the BOOTCAMP partition to reinstall MAC OS 10.6 and all the updates and everything and now Everything is working perfectly.
I first tried to only format my MAC OS partition and reinstall but there was another error that the insallation couldn't be completed. Then I completely erases all partitions and erased all the files and I was able to reinstall everything in a couple of hours.

I was unable to work on the South West Airline, error message such as : no outbound airport was found... When I swiched to Internet Explorer, I was able to work on this South West Airline website. Please help. Thanks

With Firefox as browser, when working on the South West Airline website, when I clicked on the airport code or on their calendar, nothing happened such as showing airport location or the calendar to work on. with Internet Explorer, no such problem.

One work around is to disable CSS on southwest.com:
Toolbar -> View -> Page Style -> No Style
The page will convert into a plain linear page that looks like it was from 1994. Scroll down to where it says Round Trip and One Way and select your airport there. Press enter in one the text boxes. After the first page, you should be able to go back to the normal presentation of the website:
Toolbar -> View -> Page Style -> Basic Page Style

Did you set up your email account info in Settings?
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Accounts > your account should be listed in there with the appropriate incoming and outgoing mail servers and correct user names and passwords.

JScrollPane is no longer opaque! Please help.

I have recently upgraded from Java 1.2.1 to 1.3.1 and switched operating systems from win 98 to win 2000.
Since doing so I have run an application I have been working on only to find it has slightly changed visually, I don't know what has caused it!
Basically, I have a JTextArea held within a JScrollPane. The textarea is supposed to be opaque when the application loads, which is still fine, but now even though the textarea is transparent, you can't see the background. Instead all you can see is a large gray block within the limits of the scrollpane. I have tried switching the scrollpane to opaque, but unfortunately this does nothing - the gray stuff is still there.
I have included the problem code below, please note the code worked fine before, and the only issue here is that I arent getting the true transparency from these components that I desire:

I have the same problem. Here is something from the jdk 1.3.1 docs:
A common operation to want to do is to set the background color that will be used if the main viewport view is smaller than the viewport, or is not opaque. This can be accomplished by setting the background color of the viewport, via scrollPane.getViewport().setBackground(). The reason for setting the color of the viewport and not the scrollpane is that by default JViewport is opaque which, among other things, means it will completely fill in its background using its background color. Therefore when JScrollPane draws its background the viewport will usually draw over it.
You see that the Viewport is opaque by default. Probably, this is what needs to be changed. If you do have a solution do let me know too.

I found a solution that worked for me. Here is what I did and where I found it.
"Looks like I tracked down the problem, it worked for me so I hope this works for everyone else experiencing problems. Go to your Task Manager and locate the program APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push)..... if you see this executing terminate the program and then startup iTunes and it should come up fine. You will see afterwards that APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push) starts back up but this is fine as long as iTunes has already started.
I tried playing both music and syncing up my iPhone with no problems. Note if you shutdown iTunes again you will have to terminate the process APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push) again. Haven't had time to see what in the world Apple Push is but this appears to have corrected the problem so that you can at least use iTunes and sync any device that needs to be synced.

Interesting tid bit. I created an AAC of the original file, deleted the original MP3 from my library and also deleted the Clean matched track from the icloud.
Result is that it matched with the explicit version of Mrs. Officer this time.
What I am curious about is which songs this is happening for. I've went thru a few batched of about 500 songs at a time and redownloaded in 256k for many tracks. Sadly we don't have people to bring this to our attention and I have so much music that it's impossible to go thru every song to make sure I am getting the right version.
