Hello, I cannot figure out yet how to get Adobe's most recent Flash Player to Install Properly

Hello Adobe,
Please advise as to how I can get the most recent Adobe Flash Player to properly install onto my computer.
I have tried to download: install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe
Multiple times and install to no avail.
Please advise, and Thanks,

What happens when you try and download from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer? Does the download start? Are you unable to find the downloaded file? Does the installer fail? If so, do you get an error message?

This is how you would get the effect you want without stroking the text which, unless it is large point size, is a wewy bad idea.
Select the text you want to stand out from the background:
+Menu > Format > Font > Show Fonts+
The 5th button across shows a T with a shadow off it. Click on this to create a drop shadow.
The following 3 buttons control
1. The shadow density, how transparent it is
2. How blurred the shadow is
3. How far away it is from the original
The next wheel button controls in which direction the shadow falls.
Now go:
+Inspector > Object (square & circle icon) > Shadow > Change its color to white or a light color > Change its opacity to taste+
Play with all the controls. Usually best is a close shadow blurred to something like a white glow around the text. Or a sharp, 100% opaque, shadow half offset on the thickness of the letterstroke.

"Adware" - you're infected and it didn't come from here.
You need to find and eradicate it.

How do I get Adobe to "unblock" the 'Flash Player'?

I quit allowing the too-too frequent flash player updates because they seemed to be involved in a destructive process that resulted in my online connection reverting to configuration that was very, very slow (repeatedly). Subsequently, 'Adobe' advised me that they were "blocking" the software since I was not updating. While I can do without playing U-Tube, etc., it now affects my online banking, as well. If you're on Mac, this is most likely Apple blocking the older plugin. Adobe does not block plugins from the browser. What version of Flash Player 13 do you have installed? You can obtain the version installed by going to Adobe - Flash Player, or Flash Player Help.

Hi, With this link, you should be able to SAVE the Installer to the Desktop. Just be sure to reject any extras like Toolbars, McAfee, etc.

I have CS3 suite and am using Dreamweaver and Flash for a new project. I am working on a website and would like to have small flash movies on several different pages. I would like to know how to get a still image in flash player before the user clicks the movie so that they will not see a black box on the pages before and after they click the movie. Hi, You can go to this test site to see if you have Flash Player Installed on your 10.6.5 Mac.

Then this link has info on how to Uninstall Flash Player (if needed) and Install the latest version. It is a step by step.

Flash Player is a browser plugin and as long as your browser is supported by Adobe Flash Player, then you shouldn't have any problem.

In Safari, click on Safari in the upper left of your screen and then click on Preferences. Go to the Security tab...... see below. Select either Never or From third parties...... That should do it.

Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. Download a piece of software called TinkerTool - that might just solve your problem. I have used it myself to change the system fonts on my iMac. It is software and not an app.

I'm a seller on eBay and very new to Mac. I just started to list an item when I got to the area of uploading pictures of an item to my listing. I cannot figure out how this is done. I downloaded pictures from my camera to iPhoto and they apear not only in my iPhoto library but in an eBay folder/album I created. When I go to upload photos I cannot find my photos in either the Library or the eBay album. I've tried using both the basic uploader and and standard uploader choices provided by eBay.

While running iPhoto you'll need to select the pictures you want to use for eBay and then select Export from the File menu. The Export Dialog box has several options and I believe the second option is File Export - that's the option you want to choose. Now you can select the picture quality, size, and export. The file selector will appear so you can indicate the folder you want the pictures to be exported into. Now you can take the next step, sending them to eBay.

Have you double checked to make sure these Audiobooks are configured to sync to your iPod from under the iPod's Books configuration tab in iTunes? This is assuming that the audiobooks are already stored in your iTunes library and appear under the Books category.
To access this configuration tab, plug in your iPod and select it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes to bring yourself to the iPod's Summary tab. Now locate the Books tab across the top in the main iTunes window and select it. Here you can configure what and how audiobooks are synced to the device.
If you make any changes to this tab, make sure to hit the Apply button on in the lower right hand corner. This will sync the updated changes to your device.

By "sending" do you mean sending email?
If so, what app are you using to take the photos on your iPhone 5? Or are the photos from a different source (saved to your Camera Roll from somewhere else, like a web page or Messages)?
My guess is that Mail gives you the option to send different file sizes when it detects you are trying to Mail a really large photo file. The size of photos on the iPhone 5 is really big and some email providers may stop your mail from being delivered if attachments are too large. Thus, Mail tries to help you by offering to resize the photo.
I suspect that if you are sending smaller files, Mail does not bother giving you options to save a smaller version. In fact, I have seen this behavior. So, if the photo is already "small enough", it gets sent as-is.
To my knowledge, there is no global iOS setting for this. Some apps may have different rules, of course.

If the apps that are on your son's iPad were purchased under his Dad's Apple ID, then signing your Apple ID onto the iPad will not help you with updating those apps.
Also, if the iPad was sync'd with his Dad's iTunes library, then hooking it up to your computer/iTunes library, will require you to reset the iPad, and everything that was loaded under the other Library and Apple ID will be wiped out.
Can you provide a little more info about what was set up under which Apple ID and what iTunes library the iPad was sync'd with?

I rented a movie from ITunes yesterday and now I cannot figure out how to watch it on Apple TV. I have done this before, and to watch it later on, I would go back under the "Movies" option, find the movie, and there would be a Play option available. We did the update to Apple TV yesterday. Now when I go back to the movie, I see the original options. Preview, Rent, Buy, etc. When I click on Rent again, it says the movie has already been rented but not downloaded. It instructs me to go under Settings/Downloads/Check Downloads, but there is nothing under Settings about Downloads. I found an option to Check for Rentals, but when I click on that option, it just keeps searching, with no results. Any ideas? This worked before the update, even though it took forever to download a movie....

I had the same issue with my apple tv 3rd generation. I rented Sinister and selected the "rent and watch now" option. Half way through the movie I accidentally pressed the menu button. When I looked for the rented movie on my apple tv I could not find it. Not even above the movie pannel where "purchased" and "top movies" comes up on the main menu. the apple tv suggests to go to settings>downloads but I don't have that option. I did go to settings> itunes store> check rentals but that didnt work either. It took too long to even check. Thank you because this SOLUTION worked great.
SOLUTION: How to reset apple tv 3 3rd generation to view rented movies:on the apple tv remote: press and hold "menu" to go to the main menu. Select SETTINGS> GENERAL >RESET >RESET ALL SETTINGS. After the apple tv resets, input all your information again and your rented movies should be visible when you cruise above the "movies" section. THANK YOU!!
Apple needs to solve this issue because honestly it took me 3 hours and a half to watch a movie that only lasted 2 BECAUSE I wast trying to solve the issue, reseting and all. blahh.
