Hello! I have a first generation Ipod Nano!
Hello! I have a first generation Ipod Nano! Unfortunately he is not working as it used to, in this regard, I would like to clarify: Can I change it at the official Apple store, a new one? If so, how much will it cost? (no money to buy a new Ipod, and I would like to change to the new surcharge).
In advance, thank you!
At an Apple Store they will give you 10% off the price of an new one if you recycle your old one.
But if you have a 1st Generation iPod you need to go this route: http://www.apple.com/support/ipodnano_replacement/

I have two iPods, one IPod touch from the fourth generation and another one that must be from the first generation iPod nano. Can I trade them both in?
The Fourth generation- 16GB
First generation-4GBApple does not have a "trade in" program for iPods, other than the recycling program that gives you a 10% discount on a new iPod (at an Apple Retail Store).

There are some third-party (non-Apple) companies that provide compensation for old iPods. You can also sell them yourself on eBay. -
Do all first generation ipod nano's prebuffer the next track?
do all first generation ipod nano's prebuffer the next track?
have they always? the first gen that is.
what i mean by prebuffer is does the firmware load the next track in memory as the current track is being played ?As far as I know, the flash memory used in the nano is one big buffer.
It doesn't work like hd based iPods where the songs are pre-loaded into a 32mb (or 64mb) buffer and played from there. -
I have a first generation ipod touch. I use a wireless router to get my internet connection. It is frozen on opening up a website and will not release. Even when I power down and restart it goes back to the same failed connection. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Ray.

I have a 3rd generation ipod nano. I recently upgraded to Lion which is causing lots of issues. Aside from that, I went to the Itunes store to purchase books like I have done at least 100 times before with no problems. Now I can by the book and get it to my computer, however when I tried to download the book to my 3rd generation ipod the dialog box informed me that to download any new audiobook purchases I would need an ipod touch. My ipod nano 3rd generation serves my purposes just fine. Why should I be forced to buy something I do not want just to continue something I have always done seamlessly? I know this is more of a rant than a question but I am sure someone else out there has had this happen to them. Maybe you could share your thoughts on how to work around this issue if possible?
I forgot to add the last obvious and crucial step I had taken - plugging a different iPod into my system. It was also not recognized. That was the final proof I needed to determine if the problem was device or system. But now what?
I truly appreciate any help I can get!
Thanks again... -

I HAVE AN FIRST GENERATION IPOD, WHAT APPS CAN I DOWNLOAD TO IT
I have a first generation ipod touch that i am trying to download apps to for my daughter, what apps are compatable with this version. It will not let me upgrade the software
Not many. At this point, many applications focus on the current version of software, which is iOS 6.0.1. You might have to find out for yourself to see which ones are compatible, but you may be out of luck for many. Also, you have a first generation iPod touch. It's been 5 years since that was released, and many apps have updated at least hundreds of times. There is luck, however; larger games can possibly still support your version. Also, if you're in the App Store on the iPod touch, go to the bottom of the app page and see what version it supports. I hope this helped.

I have a 5th generation iPod nano. I downloaded an audiobook on Itunes. It will not let me sync saying this computer is not authorized. Anyone know what to do?
Move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

a friend told me that if I give my first-generation iPod nano can renew it, that's true?
please respond quicklyWhat are you talking about? You can't "renew" an iPod. You also cannot trade it in to Apple. Apple will recycle it for you and give you a 10% discount on the purchase price of a new one.

I have the first generation ipod shuffle. I was wandering if apple can still fix them.
I have the first generation ipod shuffle. I was wandering if apple can still fix this ipod. please let me know.
Considering the cost for a new current gen shuffle, I don't think it will be an economical repair. That USB connector is connected to a very thin ribbon cable that runs up the shuffle inside the case. If its USB connector came off and is lost, that means the ribbon cable got torn off. So the shuffle will need to be disassembled and a new part (USB connector with its ribbon cable) installed. And that's significant labor.
However, if you are good at fixing small things

I've done it before. You'll need to acquire a broken iPod shuffle 1st gen, but one that has a working USB connector. That's the most common failure for these iPods, so make sure it is described as being recognized by the computer/iTunes or something like, "It works but the battery is dead." -
I have the first generation ipod touch it's updated to the iOS 3.1.3. Anytime I try to download an app it says it needs to have iOS 4.3. We want to download apps for my daughter. Does anyone know of any children's apps for the iOS 3.1.3
Any joy ? I'm having same problem. Just bought two for my twins birthday and I think it was a big mistake!!!! Thanks
