I have problem to install flash player on my macbook

I've tried everything since last week, including re-install, clean install, install direct from Adobe web site, downloading offline, etc,. Everytime my installer stops at the middle of the way and I keep get an error message - “Error: General installation error”. Please help!

Here's what I recommend:
Run the disk utility section described here first:
Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck - Apple Support
Then I would recommend doing a clean install:
Do a clean install
If you're unable to do this, boot into Safe Mode as described by the Apple link above, and try again.
I've you're still unable to proceed, let me know.

Problem with installing Flash Player 10 RC

I try to do it I have error:

Problem with installing Flash player 14 in my Macbook Pro

I tried to install Flash player 14 in my Macbook Pro, however, it stuck at "retrieving install" screen, it is supposed to be a new version, anybody has the same problem?

Yes same issue. I even tried chatting with adobe support but they did not help as I am not a paid subscriber. I have seen many others with the same issue. I hope adobe is aware of this. am trying to contact them.

Registry problems when installing Flash Player

Hi, first of all, sorry for any misspelling, I'm Argentinian . I'm writing here because I've tried a LOT of ways and solutions to install Flash Player for IE, here some facts:
I mostly use Google Chrome, that has the FP already installed, but i have a problem with the ActiveX control, I can install Flash player 11 for windows but Not ActiveX... i read that that's a tool for IE, so i thought i wouldn't be needing it, but when i tried to execute a program (Game Ranger) it said that i needed ActiveX control and that i didn't have it in my computer.. So i started to check for solutions, etc etc. and finally give it up because i just couldn't do it, but well now I started again because I want to know if it's something important to have..
The problem when installing is this: It starts to download Flash Player.. then install it and when it's in 51% it stops and a message appears saying: registry error. this is what happens when I try to install ActiveX, not Flash Player itself because as I said earlier I can install it...
All I want to know is if there's some way to allow Flash Player installation to change registry values.. because i think that's the main problem.. i think. Thank you for reading.

Problems after installing Flash Player 11

OS: WIN XP 32 bit
Browser: IE 8 32 bit
After sucessfully uninstalling previous version, and downloading latest version of Flash Player 11, computer freezes up and shuts down when trying to stream video clip, incuding clips that sucessfully played on previous version. Spent numerous hours going through Adobe's FAQs and trying mutiple suggestions with no success. To keep machine running, performed System Restore to pre Flash Player 11 condition. Please help.

I chose to pass on the Hardware acceleration suggestion, and find a more permanent solution.
After another late night of working the issue, problem solved! Flash Player 11 up and running with no problems.
1. System restore to a point prior to downloading Flash 11 for the first time.
2. Virus, Spyware and Malware scans.
3. Clean Registry
4. Windows update and Antivirus update
5. Clean registry
6. Download latest driver for video card
7. Windows update and Antivirus update
8. Clean registry
9. Uninstall Flash Player 10 / Install Flash Player 11
Note: Though I received confirmation of successful download before, the confirmation page this time had a completely different look. It proved to be a good sign.
10.Windows update and Antivirus update
11.Clean registry
Flash Player working with no problems thus far. Good Luck, and hope this info helps some.

Cannot install Flash Player on Mac running Yosemite

No matter what I do, following all of adobe's installation suggestions, gets flash player to install on my macbook pro, running yosemite 10.10.3. Please help. I'm afraid I may have to do something desperate! Thank you very much.

Big Quicktime Problems, after installing Flash Player

I have a big problem. For some Reason, I got a notice yesterday, when I visited some website, noticing me that I would have to install this Adobe Flash Player (Must be the newest one) I did so but now I can't see any more Flash animations in the web. There allways comes out the quicktime symbole with a questionmark in it. I still can watch normal movies with it. Thanks so much for help

Open the Quicktime preference panel Uncheck Enable Flash then and go to the Advance tab-->MIME Settings-->Miscellaneous-->Miscellianeous file format-->uncheck the Flash box....

Problem to install Flash Player.

No. ActiveX is a Microsoft technology and not supported in Firefox. You only need the ActiveX version if you use Internet Explorer.

Problems installing Flash player on Mac running Yosemite. [was: Help please?]

I am trying to install the latest version of flash player and it is not working correctly. When I click on the installer it gives me a window full of code. If I try to open the installer through disk utility I can click on the installer and type in my password. After that the installer window comes up but there is nothing on it. It is just a blank grey screen. I have a mac and am operating yosemite.

I am not familiar with the behaviour you are experiencing. Are you using the shim installer or the full installer (shim installer is about 1.6 MB in size, while the full installer is about 14 MB in size)?
Please provide a screenshot of the installation window with the code using the instructions here, How to share a document.

Please help, I am running Windows 7 Home Premium and have problems with loading FLASH Player

Everytime I attempt to load Adobe Flash Player, it says it is installing but then I get a screen that say, must close Internet Explorer, which I do, then the down load continues. It eventually takes me to a window that is for Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, it loads a trial version and then eventually it says Flash Player successfully Installed.
When I go to open a web video, it says, you must have Flash Player installed to view this video. Which when i click on the Adobe download link, it takes me back through the same loop with the same results. Seaching in my programs it does not show Adobe Flash Player loaded, only the 32 bit version, which I am still unable to view web videos with>>>>
What is going on here? Do I need to download something additional to correctly install Adobe Flash Player? Please Help, Thanks in advance for your response and recommendations!

Then you just have to mount the DMG and run it.

Why do i have to re-install Flash player each time I shut off my computer?

Anytime I want to watch a video on the internet it says I must install a flash player so I go on line and download Adobe Flash player. But once I shut my computer down the flash player goes away.

Problems while installing flash player.

when i want to watch a video on certain websites i receive a msg saying that this website functions better with firefox, i downloaded firefox and still the videos wouldn't play with the claim that i need to download flash player- when i already had. i downloaded it over and over again and the problem has not been resolved.

The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:

(You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
