Well, turbo.264 is indeed very nice to have - even for converting full-sized movies. (Nevertheless, TechRadar's latest roundup (see http://www.techradar.com/news/software/applications/6-of-the-best-video-converte rs-for-mac-1074303 ; also linked from another roundup at http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/benchmark-excellent-multimedia-converter-handb rake-vs-commercial-apps ) has shown it's still worse than HandBrake in most respects.)
All H.264 files (assuming they are H.264 level 4.1 or lower) are compatible with the built-in Videos app.

It entirely depends on your needs. The top players (AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer, It's Playing, GoodPlayer) all have different strengths and weaknesses. I myself use It's Playing the most as I convert everything into MP4 and simply love the DSP's (brightness / volume / saturation boosting). (Its software decoders are definitely worse than those of AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer; however, MP4's are played back from hardware.) -

My old computer (a Sony) with my iTunes crashed. I have a new MAC and want to make sure I can keep all of my music (mostly from old CD's that have been lost). I bought iTunes match hoping that would work but it isn't using the data on my phone. HELP!
Since you have purchased a new Mac (which, BTW, is not typed in all capitals) why not buy a Time Capsule <http://www.apple.com/airport-time-capsule/> which is designed specifically to work with OS X and Time Machine?
You don't say what part of your Sony "crashed." If it was not the HDD it is possible to take the computer apart, put the HDD in an external case, then recover the data off of it (including the music) simply drag-n-drop. If it was the HDD that "crashed" that makes it more difficult.
If you are able to recover the music from the Sony you can then add it to the iTunes library on the Mac and iTunes Match will then scan, match and upload the tracks to be mirrored in the cloud. -

Your technical issues have zero to do with the installers. Whatever is at play is rooted on your system, but you have not provided any specific system info nor crash logs. Pardon me, but "Photoshop is crashing" is a useful as my 88 year old grandma telling me her phone doesn't work...

How can I upgrade Adobe Captivate 6 without purchasing the full version of the new Captivate 8?
I'm told that the window of opportunity to upgrade to 7 was short and now that 8 is out i cannot leap from 6 to 8. Doesn't make since that I'd have to buy a full version of a program I already own.
Can anyone help me with a simple upgrade possibility?It stinks that there isn't an upgrade option from 6, but it's due to the new subscription option for Captivate which actually ends up being far cheaper for you in the long run. Captivate 7 came out a little over a year ago the upgrade for that was the same as the 7 to 8 upgrade. As the upgrade is $400 and a subscription is only $20 per month, or $240 for a year, you'll end up saving money should the next upgrade come out in another year.

For the impl file i need to make it use the Caesar Cipher method where there is an integer and this integer is used to encrytp a word so if the integer is equal to 1 each of the letters in the word are incremented by 1 so if the word "HELLO" was inputted the output would be "IFMMP" if u get what i mean but i am finding it difficult to put into code.
Could someone give me a few clues please.

MARKmate, i wasn't saying why are you messing with RMI, what I mean was why are you trying to do it all at once. Try to break down the problem. If all you want to do is to increment the character by one then the simplest way to do it is to set up an array of all the letters of the alphabet. Iterate over the string getting each character. Look it up in the array, and then get the next one, and add that to an output StringBuffer. When you have reached the end of the input string, toString() the StringBuffer, and you are done.
Fundamentally, programming is all about breaking problems up. If you try and look at everything at once you will either go mad, or not be able to cope.

Recently I got my Iphone unlocked. Earlier I was using it on ATT n/w. After unlock i am using it in India with a service provider here.
The problem that I am getting is, the phone was able to pick up the network and am able to make calls and messages. Data plan is still to be activated so cant confirm on that, but all the apps that were there on my phone got wiped out on its own. Since I wasnt sure as to what happend, so I reinstalled the apps today morning. I saw the apps getting installed and then left to get ready for my office. after nearly 30 mins I saw nothing was getting syncronized so disconnected the phone and left for Office. On reaching office when I checked for my usual Apps, I could see only the apple apps and none other available there. Need to know whats the issue and how to resolve it. Please can someone help me on this?I can not get to iPhone screen, so no way to get to Settings. That is the problem. When I connect phone to iTunes I get screen asking to insert SIN card. On the phone I'm getting Cinfigure screen asking Launguage , Country or Region, Wi-Fi, ( I can connect to my home wi-fi), and last screen "Activating your iPhone". After two minutes of waiting IM getting message: Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server in temporary unavailable. try connecting to iTunes or try later or contat apple.com/support.
Like I mention, I went to Bell as well Rogers store and tried to insert active SIM card with no results.

I would like to upload audio files onto ITunes. I would like to do this at work so that I can share it with whomever wants to listen to them for free. Is this possible? If so, how many audio and or visual files can I upload, what would the duration of the video be and would I have copyright to these files?
