with wordpad of windows, i have tried some of it but they are not compatible ,
example: not mantain the tabs and the formattings of the text.

To developers Cardlet (Applets to loads in smart card) not is necesary some IDE in particular, that you need is have all the library for java of the version javacard that you use and configure you IDE (that's CLASSPATH).
Very IDE are very good JBuilder, JDeveloper, Eclipse, and others; you cna find this for Windows, Linux, Solaris and Mac normaly.
The firts you need is obtain some this and check which the this is more easy for use to you.

Developing a java editor for a special perspective in Eclipse

Does anyone have any idea about creating a java editor for my perspective in eclipse.
In other words, I want to know that an editor for the files with a specific extension (for example ".java" extension) is unique or not?

Which is the best java editor for Linux ??
in the Win plataform I'm using the JCreator ... and now I'm migrating to the linux plataform...
please tell me the name of the editor you are using if you use Linux... (Red Hat 7.1 here...)

you can try SciTE from http://www.scintilla.org - it's simple, fast and good enough. you can work with java, c and many other programming languages. There are some features that don't present in any other editor.
Btw SciTE is only editor, not complete IDE. If you wish a full IDE with projects.. etc you can use Borland's JBuilder

Java Mapping for Flat file

hello SDNers,
I am using JAVA mapping for converting FlatFlie IDoc to IDoc and i am using metadata for this.While downloading metadata from SAP system, the first segment in the data record is having level 2.
1) What is the use of Level in metadata?
2) What is the Level for first segment in data record of metadata. Is it Level 1 or Level 2?
3) I am facing an error while appending the node. Is it because of Level differs?

Dreamweaver CC and Windows 8.1 - Can't Find A Valid Editor For This File Extension

Was running the latest version with no issues and then I loaded Office 2013 .. Now when I am in the remote site and try to double click on a .cfm file, I get a dialog box..Can't Find A Valid Editor For This File Extension..
I tried the support chat and they said Dreamweaver support was not available, try again later???
So I thought I would reinstall the CC version and now I can see the Dreamweaver icon next to the files but still ... can't open the file..
Any assistance would be appreciated?

The issue is only in Windows 8.x where when Dreamweaver CC is installed, it is not able to turn on the file type associations by default. The workaround for now is to manually add the extensions both within Windows and then within Dreamweaver CC itself.
Go to Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs > Set Your Default Programs and select Dreamweaver CC and then select 'Choose defaults for this program' and Select All or the extensions you want to open in Dreamweaver CC
Start Dreamweaver CC and go to Edit > Preferences > File Types/Editors and add '.cfm .cfc' to the extensions and then add C:\Program Files (x86)\Dreamweaver CC\Dreamweaver.exe then click on Apply and Close
That should be it.

DW CC: Can't find a valid editor for this file extension

I am using dreamweaver cc for 1 month now. I have been having difficulty opening .asp file.
In the File panel, when i click on one of the asp files, the error message is 'Can't find a valid editor for this file extension'.
To solve this problem, I will right click on the file and choose Open with > Dreamweaver.
However, this is very inconvenient. Someone pls help!

You can configure that in your Operating System. In my version of Windows XP, open any folder and select TOOLS/FOLDER OPTIONS/FILE TYPES then scroll to the asp file type and select DW as the editor.

Java editor for 10.5?

i am a total programming newbie and am taking an introductory java course. the course supports windows only but having spoke to the instructor and discussed the jre and sdk versions that i have, native to osx ,she thinks i can run the java material on my machine. however, there is one hiccup, go figure- i need an java editor to handle the workload - the instructor suggested the following
www.panic.com/coda as one option.
can anyone confirm weather this is a good editor or recommend another that will satisfy that need.

You don't have to install a JDK or a JRE on your Mac as every Mac comes with a JDK preinstalled. You can't even download a JDK from Sun, as the JDK for the Mac is developed and distributed by Apple directly. No need to worry, just start your IDE or other Java development tool. They will run just fine on any plain Mac OS X system.
You can check it out yourself by opening Terminal.app (from /Applications/Utilities or use Spotlight to open that app) and run the command "java -version".

I use Notes. You know, standard notes. And easiest way to get this "file" out from the phone is to send it by e-mail.

FYI, you can reuse the same OrderID/Serial# with any version of eclipse & also switch between systems by deactivating the license (Help > NitroX License)

Simple editor for pdf files!

I've tried a couple of pdf editors, for various tasks. So I wanted to pass on what I feel is a very comprhensive, easy to use program.
The program is called Infix, it's prduced by a company called iceni and it can be downloaded and used right away!
I first found it usefulness in filling out government documents. Instead of downloading the documents, printing them out, filling them out, scanning them and finally sending them, I download them into infix, fill them out and send them...it's that easy! I also found it an easy way to hight different parts of a document and printing it out, already highlighted and ready for the meeting!
So. if you want to edit pdf forms, or even write them, this is one super tool to use!
