Hello, I need help with my macbook pro.
It looks like I cannot install anything anymore. Everytime I try to install a new software, I simply get stuck during the installation type process. I put in my password, it does accept it, but it does not go any further.
I tried to reset the password, put no password, repair the permissions, the disk but nothing will do. I nearly got stuck with the log in screen but finally succeeded in disabling it.
So I thought I might try to create a new account but I cannot click the lock to make changes. It simply refuses to react.
I am now thinking about using the migration assistant to save all my settings, data and so fourth, but again I get stuck when I have to type in my password. It accepts it but nothing happens...
I guess it has something to do with the authorization process, but can't find anything on the internet about it... Can you help me out?
I am running Lion 10.7.3.

First, backup your system. Next, reboot your system, press/hold the COMMAND-R keys to boot into the Recovery HD. Select 'Reinstall Mac OS X'. If you purchased Lion as an upgrade to Snow Leopard, the reinstall process will install Lion 10.7.3. If your system came preinstalled with Lion, you might still get Lion 10.7.2. Both installs are a total install of the OS. None of your apps or data will be impacted. Just the OS. -

Do you want to retrieve deleted information for future usage, or to completely delete a partition? The latter is straightforward: simply erase the partition. The former is more complicated: it's very difficult, even using available commercial software, to recover deleted information. If the data is important, you may want to contact a professional like DriveSavers. It won't be cheap. -

Helo, I need help with iTunes Match.
I signed up for iTunes match. It did its thing and now it is supposed to have every one of my songs in the cloud.
I checked for Ring my bell (Which I purchase from iTunes) and it is not on my iTunes on my computer anymore?
I did match to give my 4S with limited memory and over 400 songs the ability to put all songs in the cloud, then by connecting to my computer, somehow I can tell my phone to not sync with match, the re sync and all the songs would be deleted from my phone and then I could down load any songs I wanted on my phone, thus giving me a bunch more memory. I could not figure out how to do this?

hi i need help, im new on mac, i bought the las year a macbook pro 13's late 2011 with 4 gb of ram and 500 gb of hdd, i5 proccesor of 2.4. the mbp was working ok, until yesterday, i was working on keynote and then, it started to getting really slow, then it frozzen, and the little umbrella start to appears,i tried every thing, i shut down the power button, wait a minute then i power up, and nothing, i run the ccleaner, i check the hdd status, the ram, and everything was ok, i even boot up the system like fabric and still nothing i got the umbrella everything than i run an application. please please help me.

Need help reversing an array, i think my code is correct but it still does not work, so im thinking it might be something else i do not see.

im thinking this is because the main array is has 10 elements with only 4 in use so this is a partial array.
Example
the array is { 6, 25, 10, 5, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0,}
after the swap
{0, 0 , 0 , 0, 0 , 0 , 5 , 10 , 25, 6}
i need it to be just
{ 5, 10, 25, 6}
so it is swapping the begining and end but only with zeroes the thing is i need to reverse the array without the zeroes -

Hello I need help on getting java to work on my computer.
Hello I when to a class during the summer learning java and it would be a shame to let this class go to waste.
I have been emailing my teacher trying to get java to work but it hasn't been working out.
I have tried to get a hole of him lately but I can't reach him anymore.
So I decided to join this forum to hopefully get it to work.
I was told to download Jedit.
So I compiled it and then ran it.
And it said.
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: SwingUI

What can I do to fix this?

Hello, First time here. I'm lost and could use some help.
I hooked up my computer (Acer Aspire X) to my television through the HDMI port. I watched a movie, everything seemed to be fine. But now I am unable to exit that mode. When I select the Intel Graphics window, and try to change to single display, and chose my monitor, I lose everything. My monitor displays "Input out of range" and the television shows no signal. I am able to get back to the dual screen using the win-p hotkey. But I cannot get out of this dual mode. When I try to watch television, the monitor goes blank. The only way I am able to use my computer is if I have the television and the monitor both going. How do I get back to be able to use just my monitor?
If this is the wrong place for the question, please point me to the correct place. I'm so lost.

JerryGood to hear it. sorry about laptop desktop confusion, i read Aspire and thought about laptops. By the way, probably your TV has an higher resolution than your desktop monitor, so the desktop try to matches but can't since it's out of range. So you need to set the TV to a lower resolution, to match desktop monitor when using Mirror setting.

Hello, I need help. Find is crashing constantly, even in safe mode
Good evening. I have a term paper to write, and I have several more seasons of the West Wing to finish. With finder constantly crashing I am able to only get one of my objectives complete.
I am not getting any warning, or message that it crashed. But as I try and use it I watch as finder reboots itself. (once per minute, plus or minus 30 seconds). All of my files are in google drive via finder, and that may somehow be related.
Also of interest is that finder is crashing even while in safe mode.
Also, earlier today my time capsule stopped putting out any internet feed for 30 minutes. Then it randomly started working. I had even called the internet provider to have them diagnose why the modem wasn't working... and they told me that it was the router! Perhaps the two are related somehow?
Help!Make sure you have a backup.
I don't think it's your router.
If the Finder crashes persist in safe mode that means that the problem is in OS X itself.
The next diagnostic step would be to create a test user account in System Preferences > Users & Groups.
if Finder is stable in the test user account then you know that the problem is within your user account.
if the problem is within your user account then you can either
try to fix it (boot into your recovery partition {command R at restart}, and use disk utility to repair your HD and permissions)
copy your documents over to the new account and use the new account instead. And delete the previous account.
If the problem is not your user account, then it is in OS X itself (above the level of your user account)
try repairing your HD and permissions from within the recovery partition
if that doesn't work, reinstall OS X over your current installation with the Mavericks combo updater (your post does not say what version of OS X you are running but I'm assuming it's Mavericks because that's what discussion you're in). OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 Update (Combo)
I would avoid Google Drive and use Dropbox instead.
