Help< I opened an email with photo attachements and it is taking all day to download, I cant delete it, it just stops mail from working. Everything else was fine till i thought turning off the ipad and trying again would work. It didn`t, I cant turn it on at all - itjust shows the spinning wheel (loading?) icon and nothing else. Being a novice and ive only had this for a couple of weeks i need help!

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

If you purchased about 2 years ago new I am sure it is a Intel iMac. To find out what type of iMac you have just click on the Apple menu item in the finder and select about this Mac. I would check the ISP mail site and get the correct outgoing mail server info.

Creative Cloud just shows the spinning icon

When I open Creative Cloud and try to download the just purchased InDesign CC application, it just shows the spinning icon. Have tried several times today and allowed it to run for hours. Restarted, emptied cache, etc. Followed the directions on different pages. Nothing works.

When I open an email with UTUBE attachment a Picaso

page with photos comes up . The attachment goes to desktop postage stamp size. It can be played but remains that size and the Picaso page continues to come up. I can't make the UTUBE larger although the sound is find and although in miniature it is playing. Soa How do I stop Picaso coming up--it has never been invited although it is on my computer and 2. How do I get the attachment that is playing to a large size. Thank you in advance

Hi Carol, be sure to not double click on it, just highlight it with one click, the do CMD+i keys to get the Get Info window...

Just updated to Firefox 29.01 it doesn't work at all. When i open it no sites will load it just shows the busy circle going around forever. It is unusable.

Firefox 28 was working fine, but when I was asked by a pop up upon opening firefox to update to 29.01 i found there were lots of security issues for 28 so i manually updated to 29.01 by going to "about, check for updates,etc." Once it downloaded 29.01, and told me to restart, I restarted firefox. When I opened it, I found it is unusable. It won't open a single website. It won't load my homepage. It has all my favorites from before on the favorites toolbar, but I can't go to anything. I closed it and tried to run cc cleaner as I always do, but I keep getting the message "firefox is taking too long to close would you like to force a shutdown" but the forced shut down doesn't close it either. I opened task manager to try and shut it from there, but firefox isn't showing up. I have no idea what to do. I am typing all this from Chrome b/c I cannot use the latest version of firefox.I've never had this happen before. I also ran it in safe mode and the same thing happened. Please help, and please answer in layman's terms, because I am not a computer expert. I took a couple screen shots I will attach. Actually i don't see anywhere to attach an image so I can't. I also don't understand the green "automatically add" button that is underneath this box on the mozilla support page. Also, when I went to the help, about page in the top corner of firefox just now to check the version it says "firefox is being updated by another instance." What the heck does that mean? Never seen that ever. Appreciate any help.

I am trying to sign into Creative Clouid to download Indesign but all I am getting is the blie 'spinning wheel' 'thinking' icon. I can't seem to download Indesign from the web either. My CC membership is up to date and I can sign into Adobe with no problems. Can someone please help out?

System preferences cannot open because it may be damaged or incomplete??.. and now iphoto wont open... it just shows the loading circle.

I have not deleted anything... I've used the applications install dvd... I've tried following along with previous conversations BUT nothing seems to be working.. can someone please help me?
Oh! And since this has been not working... my iphoto won't load aswell.. does anyone know how to fix that issue?

Your photos are in the iPhoto Library. Almost certainly that is intact, so don't worry.
Go to your Home folder and open the folder called Pictures. What you want is in there, iPhoto Library. Don't do anything there, this is just to reassure yourself.
So it is a matter of getting the iPhoto app to work. Apps are in the Applications folder. Find it and trash it.

Connect the iPhone to your computer, lauch iTunes. Right or control click the iPhone under Devices then click Restore but don't restore from a backup.

I have a WD MyBookWorld NAS I had to change the IP address so how do I re-sync iTunes to pick up the device. The device is visible but when I click on it to display the contents i just get the spinning icon no content

As stated in the title I have a WD MyBookWorld NAS and it used to work well with itunes, it always came up in the shared area
I had to change the IP address on my NAS and now the NAS is displayed in the shared area but when I click on it for the contents to be displayed I just get the spinning "working" icon

Go to System Preferences and click Sign Out, select Delete at all the prompts, then sign back in with the changed ID? (Your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac when you sign out and choose Delete, but will still be in iCloud. Hidden Photo attaching to ALL emails end with photos attached

Hi. Every time I send an email with photos attached, an additional photo (always the same one) always attaches itself, too. You cannot see it as an attachment at the bottom of the email, however, when the recipient opens the pictures and clicks to view the next photo, etc., this one particular photo always shows up at the end. I can no longer send business related photos, because this personal family photo always attaches itself. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Can you see this hidden photo in the catalog? Try attaching a tag to this photo and a different tag(Tag2) to the photos you want to send. Search for the 2nd tag(tag 2) and when the results are displayed, select all these photos and send an email to yourself to see if the hidden photo is still getting attached. This should not be happening but please see if the above steps make any difference.

Is there a way to keep all my e-mails on my mac and just show the latest on iCloud?

Reached my 5 GB limit and unfortunately have already deleted plenty of e-mails on "iCloud" and didn't realize I was also deleting them off my Mac.
So is there a way to only show the last month e-mails on iCloud mail but keep them all on my computer?

You're welcome. I don't think that kind of rule is possible. With IMAP accounts your email client is always reading from the server, just like iCloud.com. Anything done on any device signed into your account (your Mac or iOS device), or on iCloud.com, updates the server and the change is then replicated everywhere. There just isn't a way to have different email on one than you have on all the others. Archiving allows you to store a copy that is only on your Mac so you can delete it from the iCloud.com (or any of your other devices) and the copy on your Mac will still be there. That's really what archiving was designed to do; allow you to permanently save email.

There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to fully boot. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
1. Boot into Recovery (command-R at startup; 10.7 or later), from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup; 10.7.2 or later), or from your installation disc (C key at startup; 10.6.8 or earlier.) Launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in the support article linked below, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”

If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode by holding down the key combination command-T at the startup chime. Copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
