Sales tax in the US varies by State, County and Town. There are approximately 4,000 different taxing authorities in the USA, so there is no "right" answer to what the sales tax will be. It will probably be in the range of 5% to 10%, and you cannot file to get it back when you leave the country.
Note also that if you intend to use the phone outside of the USA if it ever needs service you will have to return it to an Apple store in the USA, or have someone with a local US address send it to Apple.

Very Bad Experience in Virginia Beach
Has anyone else had this problem: I bought my iphone from an AT&T store. My First Mistake in some time! I will NEVER buy at an AT&T store again. Poor customer service, lies, failed to acknowledge lack of coverage in my area. What is APPLE thinking making these guys the exclusive cellular vendor?
I returned mine on day 17, an Apple Store manager exchanged it for a new one. On day ten, i tried returning it to my AT&T store, they said it was the SIMM card causing bad coverage area.... WRONG!! Still no cell service in my area. Best the AT&T store could offer: sell it on ebay, they (AT&T) refused to take it back, saying is is a steadfast Apple policy not to return a phone after 14 days. When I talked to an Apple store manager just shook his head in digust when I conveyed that to him, and said they should have taken it back with a 10% restocking fee. He exchanged it for me, but the new one is no better.
Will be returning my iphone AGAIN and exchanging it for a touch ipod. All the features except cellular, and I save $59.00 + for AT&T service. As a photographer, I am a long time APPLE product user, but this purchase was a big mistake!
To summarize: Virginia Beach residents: AVOID THE HILLTOP STORE - THEY ARE LIARS!
NO SERVICE inside buildings, or just about anywhere on Shore Drive, no service on what they called the "fringe areas" of VB. Buy an ipod touch and keep your regular cellular provider!I bought an iphone on the 1st and have "mostly none" to 2 bars at home (inside and out in the yard) and also at work. I live in a wooded area but work in a factory in town. The salesman said all PDA's would get better reception than the Samsung I had previously... not true... it still is just as bad as before.
May check into getting some type of antenna or signal booster to see if it helps, if not the phone is no good to me since most of it is internet based and if I cannot get a signal then its of no use to me. I may end up returning mine before the 14 days are up if I cannot get any better reception.
As far as I know, there is a tower within a couple of miles of my home but you could not prove that to me by the lack of signal that I have...also there is a repeater about 1 mile from where I work and there I can only use the phone near an exterior door or outside. -
Hello everyone, My iphone 5 runs IOS7. It can only rotate when the iphone is already in the sideways, but can not rotate up itself when I turn iphone up. I must tap the assistive touch button to rotate it. This is inconvernient for me.How can I fix?
Took my phone to the Apple store this week and they told me it was a hardware/screen malfunction. They replaced the screen for free since it was under warranty. Now it works fine again!

Hello- I have final cut pro X and final cut studio. Should Compressor 3.5.3 work with fcpX. When I try to export to it aI am told I must go to i-apps and buy compressor.

After I tried to update my Ipad mini to the newest update, it kept saying hello on my lock screen in different languages and then when I slide the screen across, it says connected to itunes but it's not doing anything!! FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup

Hello, I am getting a Kern Protection failure error message when trying to start up my Olympus DSS Player dictation software. I have been using the software without issue for years until last month. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and don't recall installing any new software before the issue began.

Hello I have encounted a problem with Photoshop. Normally when you start a new documant, you are given the options to have A4, A3, ect page set ups. These inbuilt page set ups seem to have disapeared, does anyone please know how to fix this? Many thanks Ben [email protected]

Thanks for your message. You can custom set pages but there are no preset of page sizes like A4, A3, ect. I cannot click the size preference, nothing comes up

Hello, I have a problem, my macbook pro runs slowly when unplugged but if I plugged it, it runs perfectly.
The battery needs to be replaced, or there is some other hardware problem.
