Had you never backed up the phone before? When you saw the iTunes logo and cable, the device was in recovery mode. The data was already lost. The only way to recover from that is to restore the device, which will delete all of your data. You will only be able to restore to your last backup, whenever that was. Sorry this happened, but this highlights the importance of doing regular backups. The backup is the only protection you have against a problem like this.

I have a phone plan with unlimited texting, and I feel if I contact Verizon they're just gonna give me a super confusing answer. I was wondering if it cost any extra money to text a person's phone in Canada if I live in the United States (Wisconsin) and I have unlimited texting. Some results on this site say no, other's say yes.
I just want a clear, clean cut answer of "Yes, it will cost extra to text a Canadian person if you live in the US and have unlimited texting." or "No, it won't cost extra to text a Canadian person if you live in the US and have unlimited texting."

Sorry don't know that app but my two cents says download iBooks. Its free - you can save PDF files in it and most importantly you can download the free iPad user guide as a book in the iBooks Store. It will come in very handy.

My daughter has her own itunes account under her email/my credit card info for ipod touch; I now have iphone 4, with different itunes acct, but I want to put songs from her acct. onto my phone; how do I do this?

Things are even more confusing, because shortly after getting my iphone 4, I tried to update it to the newest version and the phone crashed; my husband reformatted the phone to factory settings, and in the process set up my phone with my daughter's email address. Now I can't seem to get it switched back to my own email address/account for the purpose of my itunes account. Am I missing something? I am NOT technologically adept.

Go to settings, store, click on apple ID, sign out and sign back in with your ID. You can put her music into your account. That is illegal.
