Is there an AUX port? If so, you can by the necessary auxillary cable. It won't work with the USB port connection.

How to use iPod shuffle in the car. What cable should I use
When I connect my shuffle to car. It says ipod authorization failed. What can I do now?
If you are talking about a small, 3.5mm round hole, which looks like a headphone jack, it will accept any standard audio input. This is standard on all Seats.
Many companies label these as "mp3 port" or "aux-in" because it sounds cooler and more "sophisticated".
Just use a standard 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable.
From http://www.seat.co.uk/
"The Seat is available with either a connection which allows an iPod to be integrated into the vehicle or a special connection for all USB memory devices and MP3 audio players with a USB port. _There is also an Aux-in audio connection as standard, which allows external audio sources to be plugged into the standard headphone socket and the sound played through the vehicle's speakers_." -
My computer that I usually use has recently died and I cannot access my iTunes.
Is it possible to connect my ipod touch to a computer that does not have iTunes just so that I can get my content off my ipod?Hello,
What you mean by content?
But anyways you will need to install iTunes to the other computer for syncing/backuping etc.
Just download and install on the other computer.
And if it's not a HDD problem with you old computer you can maybe get back even some backups if you had.
Hope it helps, -

MY MAC TURNS OFF AFTER CONNECTING MY IPOD SHUFFLE
Every time I connect my ipod shuffle to either my macbook pro or Imac, the computer shuts off. Can anyone assist me with this issue?
Hello bjc, 3418,
It sounds like your iPod is causing any computer you plug it into to turn off unexpectedly. If you've already tried a different usb cable, I would reset the iPod and test it again.
Resetting iPod shuffle
Then if the issue persists, it sounds to me like that will need service to fix this iPod:

so i connected my ipod shuffle to my apple computer and the status light on my ipod shuffle shows that it is charging but when i look for it on the pc dock or in itunes it doesn't show it at all.... so what do I do???
If you have not already, I would shut down (power off) your computer. Do this to Reset your shuffle

Start up computer. Run iTunes. Connect shuffle.
If you have added a new USB device recently (since the last time it worked properly), you may want to try disconnecting it to see if that makes any difference. -
Hi there, Will be possible listen and charge at the same time my iPod shuffle in my car?
Hi there, Will be possible listen and charge at the same time my iPod shuffle in my car? I have got a jack going to my sound system the issue i would like to solve is charging at the same time
Since the shuffle (except for the 1st gen shuffle) uses the same "port" (the headphones jack) for sound output and charging, there is no way to do both concurrently.
NOTE: You can charge and play at the same time on the old white 1st gen shuffle that looks like a USB flash drive. -
When i connect my ipod shuffle to itunes i get an error message the ipod cannot be synced, the required disk cannot be found anyone have this happen? How do i get past it?
I seem to recall that this may be cause by overloading the USB bus (lack of power to go around). Shut down your computer. Reset the iPod shuffle using this procedure.

Disconnect ALL peripheral USB devices, including keyboard and mouse. Power up the computer. If you need your mouse, connect it and launch iTunes. Connect the iPod shuffle to a direct USB port and try the sync again. See if there is any difference. -
Can I connect my Ipod Classic to my car radio using bluetooth (or any other way) so that I can listen through my radio whilst driving?
Yes, get an iFM transitter from eBay or Amazon.
Search for Griffin or Monster or just iPod Classic FM transmitter and charger, they are inexpensive less than US$30.
Get one with charger or else you iPod might run out of battery faster. -
I want to connect the ipod directly to the car 's speakers without any amplifiers, is there any danger to burn the ipod?
No, but it will not work. The iPod does not have an amplifier in it that is powerful enough to drive the speakers in your car.
So, do you have a stereo in the car, either factory fitted or one you have had fitted after it came out of the factory? If you do, check to see if the car's stereo either has a dedicated input for an iPod or an auxilary (aux input) socket.
Some modern cars (for example, my 2006 model Mazda 3) have stereos that can be fitted with iPod connectors. I paid to have one fitted to my Mazda's factory-fitted stereo. So now, I connect my iPod to the car's stereo via a dock connector and I have limited control of the iPod from the car's steering wheel. Some cars have more sophisticted control than mine does.
Alternatively, if the car's stereo has an Aux input socket, you only need to buy a headphone-to-headphone lead and connect from the iPod's headphone socket to the Aux input.
If you don't have either of those options, another method is to use a transmitter. These small radio transmitters are connected into the headphone socket of the iPod and then transmit the audio (like radio) so that you can tune your car's radio to the same frequency as the transmitter. You control the iPod as you do when using headphones. The sound quality will porbably not be as good as the dedicated dock connector method, but it's reasonable. -
