Hello.  Is it possible to print to an airprint enabled printer without being connected to a PC / MAC or wifi . I want to be able to print documents and emails while on a building site.

    Hi,
PSC 1315 no longer supported for scanning since Mac OS X v10.5 or while using any newer OS, there is no scan software provided by either HP or Apple (Image Capture)
You may find this information stated below for Leopard, the same apply for any newer OS version:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01234231&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en &os=219&product=374568&sw_lang=
Image capture will not recognize your device as well, only print is supported as you may find listed for teh PSC 1310 Series below:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#HP
Although there is no official scanning support for your device you may still try the 3rd party VueScan software which list your scanner as supported and compatible with Mountain Lion:

  • I have an iMac running OS X 10.8.3 and have connected an Epson Workforce 2540 printed that is allegedly Airprint enabled. I can connect and print with a USB cable but can't connect via Airprint. My colleague running 10.7 can. Is this a feature of 10.8?

iOS devices use AirPrint to connect to a supported printer. OS X will use Bonjour to locate and connect to the same printer.
With the Epson connected to your wireless router, when you open Print & Scan and click the plus button to add, does the Epson appear in a small box with a heading of Nearby Printers?
If not and a window appears showing Default, Fax, IP and Windows in the toolbar, do you see the Epson with the Default view selected?

  • HT4847 all i want to do is scan a document and store in iCloud but printer says not set up for iCloud. do i have to link them in some way? am on wi fi and connected to my mac ok.

all i want to do is scan a document and store in iCloud but printer says not set up for iCloud. do i have to link them in some way? am on wi fi and connected to my mac ok.

iCloud doesn't store documents from your Mac (or scanner).  It will only sync documents and data from applications designed for iCloud syncing, such as Pages, Keynote, Numbers, etc.

  • I want to be able to print via AirPrint, but I also be able to print my emails,

I want to be able to print via AirPrint, any Ideas on any good app for it.

Do you have an AirPrint compatible printer. See this listing http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356.
If not, then you could search the App Store for printing apps. They will probably not refer to it as AirPrint.

  • HT4356 I can air print documents and email from my iPhone 5, but I cannot figure out how to print one of my Outlook Contacts. Any ideas?

I can air print documents and email from my iphone 5, but cannot figure out to print a contact from Outlook from my iphone.

As far as I know you can't delete the primary email address for an iCloud account.  It's assigned when the account is created.  But your neighbor wouldn't have been able to get into your iCloud account without your Apple ID and password.  Are you sure the account wasn't still on your phone when you gave it to him?
You could migrate a copy of your data to a new iCloud account but I would still be concerned that someone else was using my old account, which presumably still has your data in it.
I'm fairly certain that you're going to have to have iCloud support help you sort this one out as they may have the ability to make changes to an existing account that users can't.  Make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it.  If necessary, they should be able to contact iCloud support for you.

  • Why can I no longer print to my AirPrint enabled printer when I used to be able to do so?

I used to be able to print on my AirPrint enabled printer. After returning from vacation I am no longer able to do so, yet my husband's iPad will. I have gone thorough all the steps suggested in troubleshooting tips, to no avail. Any help?

Try restating your iPad and turn the power to your printer off and back on again. Maybe this will reset your system.

  • Is it possible to download whatsapp on an iPhone 3GS without being jailbroken

Is it possible to download whatsapp on an iPhone 3GS without being jailbroken

Why don't you just download it from the App Store? According to the info on Whatsapp, it requires iOS 4.3 or later. Are you not running iOS 4.3 or later?
    Cheers,

  • TS3623 is it possible to watch rented movies without being connected to internet?

Is it possible to watch rented (itunes) movies without being connected to internet?

Being connected to WiFi or a cell network has nothing to do with charging. The iPad will charge when connected to the charger or an appropriate USB port regardless of whether the iPad is connected to a network of any type, or even has ever had such a network connection set up.
    Regards.

  • How can I get my 3rd gen IPOD Touch w/OS 6 to print to my AirPrint enabled Canon MX432 printer?

I can't print from my IPOD Touch to my Canon 432 AirPrint enabled printer. Printer is wireless and works well with 2 desk top computers. Printer can be seen by my wife's IPhone.  IPod OS is 6.0. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm assuming OS upgrades have disabled AirPrint functions.

Have you tried the troubleshooting included here:
    iOS: AirPrint 101
Are you sue you have a 3G (no cameras) iPod with iOS 6? A 3G can only go to 5.1.1 unless jailbroken. Jailbreaking frequently causes problems

  • Is it possible to backup to TC through TM without being connected to Wi-Fi?

As I had several issues with TC and couldn't resolve it in time I have resorted to erasing all data to start over again. I connected my TC to my Mac using an Ethernet cable and tried to set it up without setting it up to a wi-fi network. Although it came up with an error I was able to find the disk in TM and started backing up. I pressed backup now and it appears to be backing up BUT my question to you is "Is it still ok/normal for the light to continue flashing amber?" or is my backup not going to work? Thank you in advance.

Yes the modem/router is connected upstairs.
My TC at the moment is sitting on my desk next to my mac. I don't have an Ethernet connected from the TC to the modem/routher (at the moment) nor do I have my mac connected to the modem/roughter via Ethernet cable.
There is an Ethernet cable connected from my Mac to the back of the TC. I'm backing up at the moment and it has backed up 89GB out of 165GB so far. But the amber light continues to flash.
You gave me a few alternatives to connecting the TC to my network and advised against connecting to my network wirelessly due to the slow speeds of this method. I understood that. The best option was to take the TC upstairs and connect it to the modem/router with an Ethernet cable. I understood that also and would most likely be the option I will go with.
But the other option where you advise to take the Mac closer to the TC and connect without having to configure anything had me stumped. I didn't understand this. Did you mean take my mac upstairs? Or just connect the mac and TC via ethernet cable (not connected to modem/routher)?
As I said in my initial post my TC is connected to my mac via Ethernet at the moment. Neither of them are connected to my modem/router.
I hope I'm making sense lol ...I'm getting a bit lost I'm sorry I am a novice and not as tech savvy as I thought previously.

  • Is it possible to control a Mac directly from an iOS device without being connected to a WiFi network, i.e. an airport or similar.

I would like to control my MacMini (Late 2012) 2.3GHz Intel Quad Core i7 processor directly from my iOS device, either my iPhone 6 or my iPad G3. By directly I mean without having a wireless or wired network in place.
I know there are a number of iOS apps that utilize VNC technology but I believe they all require the Mac to be connected via WiFi to an Airport or similar wireless networking device. I would like to control my MacMini remotely without having it already connected to a WiFi network and wondered is it possible? The iOS device and Mac would be in close proximity to one another.
Has anyone had any experience with this? Thanks.

Guys, thanks but I did not mean to control it by infrared. I know only too well that iOS devices do not have that capability. However they and the Mac both can send and receive WiFi signals so is there any reason they can't talk to each other directly.
When I am in my home I have an airport but I would like to take the Mac Mini out on music gigs with my Apollo interface which serves as my mic preamp and mixer as it does in my studio but the Apollo needs to be connected to the mac via thunderbolt to download the plugin software that provides reverb and eq, etc. I would like to do this without the need of a monitor and keyboard, hence my dilemma. The only thing I basically need to do is start the mini and the rest happens automatically but I need to also shut down (which I know can be accomplished a couple of ways) but with out having a visual interface you can't make any changes or verify what setting are being used.

  • Since early August I cannot print from my Mac Firefox 3.6.9 but I can print from Safari and want to be able to print from Firefox.

On August 6, my ability to print from Firefox 3.6.9 on my iMac to my HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 which had been working beautifully till then stopped completely. I learned I could print from Safari, but for various reasons, including the fact Safari is not really compatible with the Learning Platform Angel, I need to be able to print from Firefox -- which I use all the time and like.
