Did you format the drive for Mac use before you tried to use it as a backup drive?
Are you using Time Machine on the drive? You can't view the contents of its backup database and the only way to access the info is directly from the Time Machine app.

We here in the Community do not have the tools to diagnose and rectify problems with Skype Numbers, however Skype Customer Service does. Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service Skype is aware of lingering website issues. Temporarily enabling scripts, pop-up dialog boxes, and disabling plug-ins which could prohibit pop-ups may help get past website problems.
If you still experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.
Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.
Last and not least, when you reach the last step of the process, remember to click on the "Start Chat" link when you are provided the choice of visiting the Community or starting an instant message chat with a customer service agent.

I need your help regarding Macbook Pro with FCS3 via USB

Sorry for the double posting, I need your help...
I am producing an independent TV movie. We are shooting in HDV with a Sony Z5.
Currently I am using a 2007 iMac (1gb) for the FCS3. I am considering buying a Macbook Pro 15' i7, because I need the portability as well as a WD 1TB portable external drive.
Just when I am about to buy the machine I started to read all about the USB vs. the Firewire. What should I do? The MBP only have one firewire port...if I use an USB portable external drive means that I won't be able to use FCS3 properly and that buying a MBP will mean spending money in something that I won't be able to make it work properly??

Hi there,
As Patrick said its Firewire hubs you should avoid along with directly connecting your media drive via USB. USB hubs are fine for connecting peripherals (keyboards, tablets, mice etc). directly connecting USB media drives is not for streaming video due to their method of sending data in packets rather than as the continuous stream that firewire provides. Firewire hubs just seem to cause all sorts of headaches to those that have used them, I cant give you a specific reason other than splitting the available FW bandwidth (someone with more knowledge on this will have to chime in), its more just inherited practice.

Please help I have problems with songs,podcasts,and just general media play

hey guys, I'll get straight into it. My problem is that many of the songs and podcasts in my library come up with the little exclamation mark when I havn't changed anything or deleted anything, so I have to find the original files, which occasisionally just dissapear for no apparent reason. Also I have problems with d/l podcasts as sometimes it wont d/l the newest edition etc but comes up with the little '!' mark. I have just upgraded to iTunes 7 and although the problem was occuring before the upgrade just aggravated it, and messed up my library files causing me to revert to an older library.
Now last and most importantly, my audio has suddenly become choppy since I upgraded. This is similar to the problem I have with the sound in Quicktime only working properly if I keep all other apps and tasks to a bare minimum (even if they take up barely any system resources). This seems strange as my system is not exactly poor performance.

If you right click a file, and do getinfo on the summary page this will give a file location, is this matching the file location on your hard disk? If not that might explain the exclamation marks?

Please do not laugh:( I have a problem with creating i Cloud account. When I download i Cloud and am supposed to sign it uo, I get a message that my This Apple ID is valid, but is not an i Cloud account.

Not everybody are advanced in use of different devices. I have problems with everything, now trying to move my I tunes to my ny PC. I reccon it would be easiest by using i Cloud. But I am even not able to create an account.
Can somebody help?

Not using any mouse pad, I have a very smooth desktop. But I just tried to use a sheet of A4 printing paper, but no result, the problem persisted.
Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!

Try rebooting the iPad one more time. Try using recovery mode again and if that still doesn't work, make an appointment at an Apple Store and ask for their help.

Why my iphone 4 32GB alway have problem with itune? itune always ask me to restore itune and when i restore it appear error (-1).

When i tried many times i success installed and can used with update latest version a few day then my iphone cut off service provider and when i restart it it appear itune plug USB and when i plug to itune on my pc then it asked me to install so i install it but when i am installing nearly full (70% finish) then it alert me with this message "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (-1).
What should i do?

If no change after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the iPhone's backup, your iPhone has a problem. Call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if available.

im new in flex mobile app devolopment. i ve problem and couldnt solve for last one week. my problem is, i load html content in one of views and i would like to use busy indicator component till website finishes loading. when i applied busy indicator, as soon as push the view (that html content embedded) busy indicator stays just couple of seconds and disappears after tht white blank screen comes up till website loads. is there anyway to optimize busy indicator till HTML content loads ? im using flex 4.5 thank you very much.
