I have the sound card: usb sound blaster digital music lx about a few months, and it worked fine with win xp, a few days ago i purchased a laptop with win vista, i installed the driver from the creative site.. I have 64bit vista with 4GB ram, evga 680i mb, c2d, 8800gtx sli and nothing but loud static pours out of my speakers using the latest driver (2_5_0002) but when using the 2_3_002 driver the sound is fairly normal. The thing is I waited 6 months since last driver release hoping this latest release would fix the problem only to find that nothing is changed as far as static/noise. Guess I might as well take this card out and throw it in the trash. It's nothing but a worthless steaming pile!Message Edited by oldpaint on -04-20070:45 AM

Zen micro photo download problems with Virgin digital music c

I'm new to all this and got my first Zen microphoto for fathers day (UK). The player worked fine for about three days.
Then, when I was downloading about thirty tracks, I got an 'unknown error' message. From that point on the player would not accept any downloads. I re-loaded the firmware as advised by creative but it would only ever accept one track at a time which is useless. I got fed up and returned it to the shop for a replacement.
I have had the second one for about two weeks and exactly the same thing has happened! Do any of you wise people have some advice before I throw the player or possibly myself out of the window.
Life is too short to waste this much time.

Problems with my Digital Vault account

I have been having problems with my Digital Vault account lately. For about a week I was told that there was no connection with the server and then I started to receive messages that there was insufficient space left in my account to enable backups of my usual documents. I knew this was incorrect because my saved documents usually only take up around 50% of the available space.
In order to correct the problem I decided to delete all my saved copies and then re-upload them. They have all been removed but my 'My Vault' page still shows that something like 2.95 GB of the available 5 GB has been used.
I cannot understand this as my vault should be empty at the moment . Has anyone experienced similar problems ? What can I do to empty my vault so that I can reload my valued documents ?

Problems with iTunes. Music skips and hisses. Sound is terrible. I have an IPad 2 and iOS7.1.

Problems with iTunes. Music. When I put on my ear buds, I hear it more clearly. There is this skipping and hisses. If you are an old (50)audiophile like I was when I was young, it sounds sort of like a record is skipping on my turntable. When I try to play a song it skips, jumps around and the Sound is terrible. Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing, Wall Paper, Sound etc will be reset

Hello Problem with my DCIM pictures files of my Iphone 4

I have a problem with copying pictures taken with my Iphone 4 on my PC; since the change of IOS version apparently, the structure of the Iphone pictures files has been changed in the DCIM files.
The subfiles are not anymore classified by dates but according to "strange" subfiles with names such as "815KMYLY" or "965YOKDJ" dated all with the same dates giving no indications of which pictures are included inside each of them.
Which means also a large problem to find where are your latest pictures you want to save.
Do you know how I can go back to the previous structure of my Iphone 4 DCIM files to unable me to copy and paste my very last pictures on my PC ??

You should be importing your pictures to the computer. That is why they have a program that runs on the PC in Windows to do that. It knows what to import based on what has already been imported. When you plug the phone into the computer, it should come up automatically like a digital camera,or you can go to My Computer like you are, and instead of opening it, right click and select Import photos. There will not be a change to the file structure, and you have no access to that portion anyway.

Problem with a digital copy what should i do?

received the message "an unknown error occurred (-50)" when down loading a digital copy and it won't finish the download I keep getting the same message. My code was good the download started but at 70mb It stopped and I got the message. I've down loaded dozens of digital copies but i've never seen this message before. How do I get it start and finish the download?

Problems with H2 digital interface

I have a SoomH2, and a macbook, os 10.5.8. When I plug into the USB, to use as a mike for garage band, the sound going into the computer is all distorted and shows a solid thick wad of sound on the garage band recording level, despite turning down the gain on the H2 and/or the macbook. There is a backround of static, even if there is no sound going in. I have had the same problem with the power off, running off of the USB, with batteries and turned on, and with the external power. An old posting said to put a USB powered hub in between, but if I am already plugged in, with the H2 on, that should not be necessary.
When new, the H2 worked, but developed this problem intermittently, and now does it all the time. Put a new software version into the H2, no difference.
Used by itself, the H2 is fine, and you can download into garage band. The macbook internal mike does not have any problems, and goes into garage band just fine, but is not a high quality mike for music. Has anyone else had a problem like this, and how did you resolve it. Thanks for any help.

Using Iphone5 with bluetooth in a car: problems with plans and music

i use my iphone5 in my car (recent one, bought it 2 years ago) with bluetooth connection.
The problem is that when i want to use "Plans" App, if i want to hear the indications in the car's loudpeakers, the iphone start music itself. It starts the latest thing listen on "Music" app or Deezer.
So you have the indications of Plans voice, and the music at the same time. Hard to be concentrate on the road you have to follow...
There's also the same problem with he music without using "Plans" app: if i'm listening to a CD or the USB key in my car, i switch the audio source to the iphone and it starts music alone.
I think that putting a real "stop" button in all music app ( "Music", "Deezer" etc) instead of just the "on hold" button could maybe forced the phone to not play anything and just hear the Plans app alone.
The fact to have no stop button lead to have always some music on hold.
Does anybody notice the same problems using iphone in his car?

Problems with importing digital booklets in iTunes 12

Hi there!
I'm using several Macs, all with iTunes 12.0.1 and I have the same problem on all computers: I can't import PDFs as digital booklets for my albums anymore!
There's no problem with digital booklets that come with purchases on the iTunes-Store. But if I import a CD into my iTunes and scan the booklet as an a PDF (as I always did in the last years), I can't import the PDF to my mediathek anymore! It will not be shown in my iTunes.
Does someone have the same problem and perhaps knows a solution for this? Is this just a bug in the current version of iTunes or has something changed with the handling of importing the digital booklets and I'm just to blind to see?

I created a PDF with my scanner software and Acrobat Pro like I always did an tried to import this PDF into iTunes on two ways: First by simply dragging it to the iTunes window (which was no problem before I updated to 12.0.1) and then I tried via the file-menu "Add to mediathek..." (which is Key cmd-O).
I'm using the german version of iTunes - please excuse, if the translation of the menu item is not correct! The german version ist "Ablage -> "Zur Mediathek hinzufügen..."!
Is it possible, that the booklet is shown on some place that i don't find?

Problems with official Digital Copys (e.g. Death Race) on Zen-Player (8 GB)

I'm having some problems with my Zen Player and the official digital copies of "The Dark Knight" (inluded as DVD in the Blu-ray Box) and "Death Race" (included as DVD-5 in the two disc steelbook). When I try to copy the wmv-files via Windows Explorer a message appears that tells me that the file has at least one attribut that's out of the device-specs.
When I try to copy the file with the Creative Explorer I get a message that the media-format isn't compatible.
And last but not least if I try to convert the file from wmv to a (maybe) compatible wmv the converter tells me that the file has not a valid format.
I'm a bit confused about the fact that the new "easy to use and ready to go" digital copy won't work on the "PlaysForSure"-Zen-Player
Is there any way to get those files on the Zen-Player started (without converting them with a freeware tool that kills the DRM)

O Great: Now I tried the Digital Copy of "Valkyrie" and the file was transfered correctly. The only problem is that an error message appears when the movie should start that says "wrong resolution". The second problem is that I cannot convert the file with the Creative Software... Just great...

Problems with iPad 2 Music.app

So I am on 5.0.1. Fairly recently I have had problems with the music app on my iPad 2. It doesn't happen with every album/song, but sometimes when I transfer an album/song to the iPad, in the music app I can't find that album under the heading for that artist in the music app. If I go to albums instead of artists in the music app, I can find the album and play it no problem and 1. When I am scrolling through my album and I see that album, it doesn't have the artists name under it like most of the others do and 2. It's weird because when I play a song and I make the album art full screen, up top where it usually says the artist, it does say the artist name and also when I am looking through my iPads music on the computer, it says the artist name there also. Anyway anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

You don't have to delete music on your computer to remove music from an iPod, iPhone, or iPad. If you have Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes and you have Sync Only Checked Songs and Video selected under the Summary tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes, you can uncheck the songs in your iTunes library or in the selected playlist in iTunes that you want removed from the iPad followed by a sync.
Any change after powering your iPad off and on and/or after a reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release?
If not and you have Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes, deselect Sync Music followed by a sync. This should remove all music from your iPad. Follow this by reselecting Sync Music making your selections below followed by another sync to re-transfer the music back to the iPad.

What is the problem with Western Digital HDD and OS X.9?

I received an email from Western Digital saying that OS X.9 could cause my files on my WD drives to be erased and to unplug all my WD drives until a fix is done. Is this a real problem and if so when will Apple get the fix out. I have joibs I have to get out to clients and this is a major problem for me.

Western Digital has found that their applications have got serious compatibility problems with OS X Mavericks, and they have to be updated to make them compatible with Mavericks.
Until then, keep the OS X version you have got. This is a Western Digital problem and this is why your main computer shouldn't be upgraded just after the release of a new Mac OS X version

Problem with Western Digital Combo Ext Hard Drive

I recently bought a WD 160GB Ext. HD to use as a backup. Unfortunately I found that when using the Firewire port data transfer would just stall after a while making it difficult to upgrade from Panther to Tiger which can only be done over the Firewire port. Qusstion:
1. Has anyone else has experienced this problem with WD hard drives
2. What HD would you recommend so I don't have this problem
My goal is to upgrade to Tiger on 1 partition of my ext. HD and have a backup of Panther on the other partition. WD said they would replace the drive so I may try that in the hope that maybe I just got a bad one and it's not a design defect.

as i wrote a few weeks ago in another similar topic, i have exactly the same problem with a WD MyBook home 1 To. Plugged on USB port, everything's fine. On the Fw400 port, the device is "unknown"and won't mount... So i bought a new cable with FW400/FW800 and plugged it on my Imac's FW800 port and there, the disk mount on the desktop and it works perfectly! I read lots of posts in differents forum which describe the problem with the Imac's FW400 port.
So, i think you have to buy a fw400/fw800 cable and plug it on your Imac's fw800 port !
