Hello, question about T420 (i5-2520m) temperatur​e

First Im glad new owner of T420 laptop with i5-2520m processor, second hand one but I hope it is all good
just now after little bit of running it I noticed that temperature is rather high, on idle the temperature is around 47-50 C and if I put little bit load on it jumps really quickly to 70 and 80 C and when putting massive load on then really quickly over 90 C but then I have stopped testing as I believe it is better to run temperature below "border line"
my question, is it normal ? also I notice it clocks itself really often to 2990Mhz and 3189Mhz (by CoreTemp)
even they say this i5 will be ok with 100C but I qould feel way better if it stays way down ... before that I had t400 with p8400 CPU and I cant remember such temperatures from there ...
my new laptop, the ebay seller noted, have 6 months of factory warranty ... is that temperature issues covered by that, is it even a issue
please people, set my mind at ease if it is normal and give me advice what to do if it is not normal (I cant see it as normal in my own head, this temperature seems way to high for normal)

I took the keyboard off and there was not a lot of dust at fan but still little bit, I cleaned it and I think temperature all around get few degrees lower ... in same contitions before playing titan quest the temperature peaked at 90, now it was 85.
I use TPFanControl profile as next:
Level=35 0        // Level=95 0
Level=45 1        // Level=113 1
Level=60 2        // Level=140 2
Level=65 3        // Level=150 3
Level=75 4              // Level=165 4
Level=80 7        // Level=175 7
Level=90 64        // Level=195 64
85 is still too high for my own liking at least ... what is the usual working temp of T420 ? I have it with winamp, waterfox(facebook, web mail(orange), news) and outlook running and temperature is around 45 ... sometimes around 50
when I took the keyboard off I noticed that all the cooling assembly was pretty easy to access, except few bits close to fan itself ... how hard it is to take the heatsink off and replace the termal compound ?
also when I bought it from ebay, it said it have 6 month factory warranty, is there way for me to check the status on my factory warranty ?
