I work in a museum, in the photographic department, and IT decided it was time to update my Photoshop program, from PS 7.0 to CS6. The old PS 7.0 program does something that the new CS6 does not (at least not yet), and I find that it is quite necessary to my work flow. It is this. When I bring up PS 7.0, open a folder, and display lets say 10 numbered files, I am able, by simply clicking and highlighting a file, to see a thumbnail of it at the bottom of the window. In CS6 this does not happen. I am stuck having to move out of "list" and into "medium icons" in order to see an image of these files. I do not want to have to make these extra moves just to see the image of a specific file in front of me, no moving out of "list", no opening "bridge" or any other option of the sorts. I just want my old thumbnail back...arghhhhhh...my brain hurts...Joe

What I’ am trying to achieve is a vi I can use in a motor
testing setup, a part of this would be to warm the motor up until the exhaust
air temperature has stabilised, this takes approximately 10 minuets. I was
thinking of just letting the motor run for this time and leave it at this, but
some motors warm up quicker that others and. I am basically looking for a vi with
an adjustable temperature window of say ±5 C° in 1° increments, timing wise 1minuet
to 10min the adjustment is so I a can use this for another application. I tried
to adjust the code I found at the link below but had a little difficulty with
the timing. Thank you so much for your help it’s much appreciated.

My concerns are that the attackers can create another application which will steal payment details. Since I am not aware of a descent certificate store on an iPhone platform there is no way to sign the code. I can not trust the AppStore's signature, since it is "jailbrakable".
Is there ANY way to make sure that my code has not been changed on the client's smartphone?

I have over 10 years of experience in varied industry including manufacturing, FMCG, aviation, service. I have worked on SAP system predominantly on FI/CO, PS, SD, PP, Security modules. I have a strong background in Accounting and acted as Business Analysts or System Analyst in my previous roles; predominantly the role responsibility includes system enhancements for business and playing an important role in the process of BPR or SAP customisation as per business requirement.
My role requires a good blend of SAP functional side and business financial procedures and principles. In percentage wise my role probably covers 70% SAP functional and 30% of Business processes.
At this stage of my professional carrier, I have learned that my interest and strong point is more inclined towards SAP functional side and which is why I want to start my carrier as SAP consultant in FI/CO.

Go to System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing.
In the Display area, reset it to "Black on white" by clicking that checkbox.
You can also reset it by pressing Command-Option-Control-8

If it's happening on all the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in ones, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
If it's happening on all apps including Apple's, then try closing them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Adjust the install language | CCM
When you select English in the Creative Cloud app. Photoshop will have an then install button for English.
When you finished installing, go to Photoshop Preferences > Interface and under UI language, choose English.

In addition to the above I also bought The Java Programming Language by Gosling and others. It's not a tutorial. Instead it offers much in-depth information on why things are the way the are in Java. I didn't use much at first and found it quite impenetrable, but now I use it all the time especially when answering so called "I have a doubt" questions at this forum. -:) I think any serious Java developer should have a copy but not necessarily when starting out. The Horton tome will keep you busy for a while. And don't forget the on-line tutorials. If find the Swing tutorial especially valuable.

Hello To all that are having the Wi-Fi connection problem

My wireless is with at&t so I called because I could not get my ipad2 to recognize the internet anyway ask to join the network and for the password for at&t wireless/dsl its the modem key just type that in and your up and running. I hope this helps some of you.

If you made modifications to the WiFi router like changing it's encryption from WEP Encrytped to WPA2(AES), but kept the same name (SSID) and password, then you need to delete all the previous network connections on each device, then assign the new one like it's brand new.
On Mac's you go to System Preferences > Network > Airport > Advanced and click the minus sign to remove all previous connections.
Note that using pc, our wifi has no issue at all!
If the PC was used to change the router configuration, then it already knows.
Another possibility is your PC is compromised and because it has the admin password to the router it's changed it and the Apple devices are no longer connecting to it.

I for one appreciate the efforts to improve the program. I believe Adobe is going in the right direction and is, in fact, listening to it's users. I use LR extensively every day (yes, 7 days a week) and the new improvements are very welcome. With all the varieties and configurations of computers out there, it's no wonder there are some problems and conflicts, but at least they're working on a solution.
Seems like there are fewer problems on the Mac, and the main reason I see for this is that Macs are more 'controlled' in their configuration. Many PC's are hacked (and I mean that without disrespect) together with various parts, plug-ins, drivers, varying components, tweaked and re-tweaked that it's difficult to establish a standard to base software on. Add to this Windows.. well... you know what I mean. (Can you guess.. I'm a Mac user).
Anyway.. thanks Tom and the rest of the Lightroom team. LR has changed my workflow for the better and with this new release, makes it even better.

As the others have said, there is no censorship happening or even possible.

I have been desiring to get a Blackberry since I worked for the 'old' At&t Wireless, but the additional plan fees kept me away. Now that I am with sprint and am on their 'Everything Data' plan all the Blackberry service in now included in my monthly bill.
I am switching from the Instinct (which I do not care for at all!) to the 8330 Curve. I do have a few questions about the Blackberry's that I am hopping that you folks might be able to help me with.

Difference Between BADI and User Exits
Business Add-Ins are a new SAP enhancement technique based on ABAP Objects. They can be inserted into the SAP System to accommodate user requirements too specific to be included in the standard delivery. Since specific industries often require special functions, SAP allows you to predefine these points in your software.
In the implementation view, the users of Business Add-Ins can customize the logic they need or use a standard logic if one is available.
In contrast to customer exits, Business Add-Ins no longer assume a two-level infrastructure (SAP and customer solutions), but instead allow for a multi-level system landscape (SAP, partner, and customer solutions, as well as country versions, industry solutions, and the like). Definitions and implementations of Business Add-Ins can be created at each level within such a system infrastructure.
SAP guarantees the upward compatibility of all Business Add-In interfaces. Release upgrades do not affect enhancement calls from within the standard software nor do they affect the validity of call interfaces. You do not have to register Business Add-Ins in SSCR.
The Business Add-In enhancement technique differentiates between enhancements that can only be implemented once and enhancements that can be used actively by any number of customers at the same time. In addition, Business Add-Ins can be defined according to filter values. This allows you to control add-in implementation and make it dependent on specific criteria (on a specific Country value, for example).
All ABAP sources, screens, GUIs, and table interfaces created using this enhancement technique are defined in a manner that allows customers to include their own enhancements in the standard. A single Business Add-In contains all of the interfaces necessary to implement a specific task.
The actual program code is enhanced using ABAP Objects. In order to better understand the programming techniques behind the Business Add-In enhancement concept, SAP recommends reading the section on ABAP Objects.
user exits: The following document is about exits in SAP :-
The R/3 enhancement concept allows you to add your own functionality to SAPs standard business applications without having to modify the original applications.
SAP creates user exits for specific programs, screens, and menus within standard R/3 applications. These exits do not contain any functionality. Instead, the customer exits act as hooks. You can hang your own add-on functionality onto these hooks.
Types of Exits
There are several different types of user exits. Each of these exits acts as hooks where you can attach or "hang" your own add-ons.
Menu Exits
Menu exits add items to the pulldown menus in standard SAP applications. You can use these menu items to call up your own screens or to trigger entire add-on applications.
SAP creates menu exits by defining special menu items in the Menu Painter. These special entries have function codes that begin with "+" (a plus sign). You specify the menu items text when activating the item in an add-on project.
Screen Exits
Screen exits add fields to screens in R/3 applications. SAP creates screen exits by placing special subscreen areas on a standard R/3 screen and calling a customer subscreen from the standard screens flow logic.
Function Module Exits
Function module exits add functions to R/3 applications. Function module exits play a role in both menu and screen exits.
When you add a new menu item to a standard pull down menu, you use a function module exit to define the actions that should take place once your menu is activated.
Function module exits also control the data flow between standard programs and screen exit fields. SAP application developers create function module exits by writing calls to customer functions into the source code of standard R/3 programs.

do you mean fuction module exits or just fuction module. form first answer you might have some idea about user exit,
fuction module exits :User exits (Function module exits) are exits developed by SAP. The exit is implementerd as a call to a functionmodule. The code for the function module is writeen by the developer. You are not writing the code directly in the function module, but in the include that is implemented in the function module.
The naming standard of function modules for functionmodule exits is:
EXIT_<program name><3 digit suffix>
The call to a functionmodule exit is implemented as:
CALL CUSTOMER.-FUNCTION <3 digit suffix>
Example:
The program for transaction VA01 Create salesorder is SAPMV45A
If you search for CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION i program

3.what is the difference between LSMW & BDC?
BDC Transferring of large/external/legacy data into SAP system using Batch Input programming. Batch input is a automatic procedure referred to as BDC(Batch Data Communications).The central component of the transfer is a queue file which receives the data vie a batch input programs and groups associated data into sessions.
BDC is the way to transfer data by writing a batch input program which can use either session or call transaction method.
LSMW is best suited for transferring master data.
Actually BDC and LSMW are not comparable at all.
for example LSMW itself can use BDC as a way of mass data transfer.
BDC is a mass data transfer technique via screen logic of existing SAP Data entry transactions. It behaves as if you are manually making thousand of entires into sap system as a background job and foreground job. And that is probably the reason why BAPI's are preffered over BDC's.
IN BDC we have 3 types.
direct input method, call transaction, and batch input session.
On the other hand LSMW is a tool to facilitate DATA migration from other legacy systems ... It contains step by step procedure for data migration.
Like Managing Data Migration Projects , Creating Source Structures , Mapping Source structures wid Target structures , etc etc
LSMW internally might well be using the following techniqes for data transfer..
1. IDOX
2. Direct Input / BDC
4. BAPI's
LSMW is an encapsulated data transfer tool. It can provide the same functionality as BDC infact much more but when coming to techinical perspective most the parameters are encapulated. To listout some of the differences :
LSMW is basicaly designed for a fuctional consultant who do not do much coding but need to explore the fuctionality while BDC is designed for a technical consultant.
LSMW offers different techinque for migrating data: Direct input ,BAPI,Idoc,Batch input recording. While bdc basically uses recording.
LSMW mapping is done by SAP while in BDC we have to do it explicitly .
LSMW is basically for standard SAP application while bdc basically for customized application.
Coding can be done flexibly in BDC when compared to LSMW
4.what is the difference between BAPI & BDC?.
BAPI:is a set of interfaces to object-oriented programming methods that enable a programmer to integrate third-party software into the proprietary R/3 product from SAP. For specific business tasks such as uploading transactional data, BAPIs are implemented and stored in the R/3 system as remote function call (RFC) modules.
