Hello to whoever can find the time to read this-I have owned an iPad 2 for nearly 3 years.I have been in hospital for most of that time.
I am going to purchase an Apple Mac Book Pro in the next few weeks:I need all the advice I can get. eg should I wait for the new one's to be released.
I would have been happy with the 2011 models with Optical drives.I would like to be able to play and burn BlueRay disc and create music discs myself.
The External Optical drive for the new Mac Pro do not support this.Can anyone advise me which would my best all round solution to do this.
Also will I be able to transfer my iPad Data to my Mac Book.i have purchased many songs a Apps.
I have considered Sony Vaio as a substitute for all this,I really do not no.I will have up to $3.500- to (stretching this) $4000 to spend,and when in the Apple Store or such,looking at them all at talking to their people I usually leave confused and with a headache.Also I would have preferred the 17" screen to the 15.5.
Some body please,please.please help me.And I need to know which cables and other accessories I should get at the time of purchase .
Something tells me to stay with Apple IOS,The iPad has never given me any problems.Seems a reliable product to me anyway.

Even if you bought a MacBook Pro with an internal Superdrive you still would not have BluRay capability.
iOS apps run under, well, iOS. The MacBook Pro runs OS X. Your apps from your iPad will not run on the MacBook Pro. You would be able to sync your music to the the MacBook Pro.
You need to sit down and list your needs for a computer. If 17" and BluRay are high on your list you need to go with a Windows computer.

The Time Profile is first to be maintained by going to the current settings (S_AP9_75000087) and creating one Time Profile as per your requirements.Here you define the Display Period and Planning Periods. If you create Relative days/weeks/ months then it is calculated in relation to the current date.So for example if you want to view 10 weeks in past and 20 weeks in future from today, you give the Start Date as -10 and End date as +20.after selecting Relative month/week/day in the Daye column.
Similar method is used for both the Display Period and Planning Period. Preferably ristrict the Display period.
You also have the option of Absolute time where you enter the start date and the finish date as an absolute value in the set period type.This will hard code the dates for you.
This Profile which you have created needs to be attached to Detailed Scheduling Planning Board - View 1/2/3 which ever you want to use by going to the Profile icon on the top and in the pop up click on the More profiles Tab and putting this value in the Time Profile Box.

You can find the last time a web page was visited by using the Library.
In the History menu select "Show All History" to open the Library. You can use the Library to view the history, and by default it will show the last date & time the site was visited. If the Visit Date column is not visible, within the Library select Views, then Show Columns, then Visit date to display that column. -
TS2655 imac can no longer find the time capsule to add it...how do i fix this

If you mean that Time Machine can't find the Time Capsule, I'd try using the Time Machine panel of System Preferences to redeclare your backup disk. If that's not what you mean, please explain.

I have stored everything on my Macbook pro in a external hard drive (Time Machine) Now that we have "wiped the machine" I am told I can start it over and load ontent--apps, docs, etc from the hard drive, just plug it in, find the time machine and what? I know that Safari's "History" list is in reverse order, that is, most recently visited sites at the top of the list. How can I find the time a particular site was visited?
As of Safari 5.1.7 there does not appear to be a way to view the time in the browser, but it is still possbile to find from the raw history file. Open /Users/[yourusername]/library/Safari/History.plist in a text editor. Depending on how your text editor reads the file, you may see a lot of garbled text, but you should still be able to find the URL that you want the time for. After the URL you may see the page's title, but should also see a left square bracket followed by numbers.
Example:

The integer is an Apple timestamp (number of seconds since 00:00:00 UTC on 1 January 2001). Find a timestamp calculator online to get the actual time for your timestamp. In the example above, Apple was visited on Dec 21 2012 at 17:35:04 PST.

After a recover database, how can I find the time of the last transaction?
After doing a restore and recovery. Is there something in the data dictionary that I can query to find the time of the last applied transaction that took place during the recover process?

For example, if I restored from a full backup on 8/3/2008 with archive redologs, I know my last restored transaction is from sometime on that day, but I'd like a way to know the hour:minute:second of the last transaction included in the backup and redologs that was applied to my restore. Is that possible?
The recover database applies all available redo logs for that day, but I want to know if that includes transaction up to 6PM, or 11:50PM, etc?

JasonIf you did only a "recover database" that would have been a Complete Recovery to the last transaction -- ie the point when the database was shutdown.
For an Incomplete Recovery, you would have to note the Sequence#, SCN or Timestamp of the recovery point. -

There is no such thing.
If you're backing-up to a network drive (Time Capsule, NAS, etc.), that drive may have a password.
If you're backing-up to an encrypted external HD, you'll need the encryption password.
Please clarify what version of OSX you're running (your profile says Leopard, but you've posted in the Lion forum), what you're backing-up to, and exactly what message you're getting and when (a screenshot would be fine).

Hi, Has anyone created an app for iOS and/or Android which successfully logs a user into Facebook and therefore has an access token? The AS3 FB api requires the FB popup to work which is fine but, it doesn't work on iOS during my tests. Any clues? Ca
