from now, i am not able to re-install photoshop as far as abode is not recognizing the serial number
please help

Do you have an installed email program such as Microsoft Outlook? If your email is through an online login, such as Gmail, etc, then one will have to create an email association with a program such as Microsoft Outlook on the PC for this Scan to Email system to function.

I just updated to the new final cut pro x 10.1.1 and i am also on mavericks so but on my editing timeline i was trying to color grade using magic bullet looks but i am having problem with it. When i send a sample to MBL and color grade it , it comes back to final cut pro x all black even after render. By the way on the MBL i am using the GPU rendering, I used before like 4months ago and it was fine. And i don't like to use the CPU because it very slow.
What is the frame rate of the project? At what frame rate was the media recorded? What frame size?
What are the audio settings?
What are the specs of the machine, in particular how much RAM, how is the hard drive connected, etc.?
If possible, post screenshots of the inspector for the project.
It could be related to the audio frequency? -
I have problems saving pdf files in the web when I use Safari. I don't have this problem with firefox.
do they save ok if Safari - Preferences - Security - Allow all other plug-ins is unchecked ?

I'm using an iBook G4. I'm having a problem with a lengthy Microsoft Word document. It keeps freezing when I try to make a change in it. The computer is working and working. Then I have to use a forced shutdown. And it starts all over again. Suggestions?
Is there sufficient free space on the iBook's startup disk (typically called Macintosh HD)? The OS and apps use free space to write temporary files, and it free space becomes too low, it can cause the Mac to bog down. Low free space also makes whatever free space is left fragment into tiny pieces scatter all over the hard drive, making the problem even worse. If it more than 90% full, you should free up some space.

I just started using my iphone 5s. I have a problem with new incoming emails from my POP account. Why are they marked as read automatically even though I have not even opened them yet.
At first I thought it might be because I was using simultaneously my old iPhone 4S so it somehow realized the emails where being pushed to another device and the it marked as read, this has nothing to do since I have deleted the email account from the iPhone 4SContact the email provider for assistance with their service.

I purchased an iPhone 4s on 5/3/2012. Yesterday (7/17/2012) the battery started draining very quickly. I always make sure to close and kill any apps after I finish using them. I haven't had any problem with the battery until yesterday afternoon. Any suggestions?

Creative Suite CS4: Problems with font managing software
It seems that there are some issues of the applications of the creative suite CS4 with the font managing software MainType (http://www.high-logic.com/maintype.html).
With standard settings, CS4 no longer recognizes PostScript Type 1 Fonts loaded by MainType (which did not occur with CS3 and older versions). The only solution so far is this workaround: Within MainType enable under "Tools -> Options" the option "Copy Type 1 Postscript fonts to Windows fonts folder" and CS4 will load these fonts again.
This seems to be a bug of CS4. Are there problems with other font managing programs?

fabianAfter reading tons of forums about this issue, it does seem to be an issue with CS4 not recognizing fonts the way that CS3 did. Wish they had mentioned that little feature when they released it. They even go as far as to say they do not support certain programs for type handling in Windows. Copying them to the system folder is a workaround, but it is not available easily in programs like Extensis' Suitcase, which is long overdue an upgrade. LinoType beta tested a new application for Windows, but when I sent an email to them asking about the release date for the their final version, their ignorant customer support sent me a link to their website pointing out that it is not yet available, and not answering my initial question of when.
I don't entirely blame Adobe, it seems as though a lot of companies have dropped the ball on this issue, and since many people have Type 1 fonts they've been using for years, they will have to repurchase (if available) those fonts in the newer OTF format which everyone seems to support. OTF is a much nicer format and more portable cross-platform, but it's simply inconvenient to not be able to use all of your fonts at your own discretion easily. I'm not sure what the big deal was with not including support for Type 1 fonts, unless that's most of the reason that the Adobe apps were crashing before... corrupt versions of the fonts they talked us into purchasing, etc... Adobe used to make ATM for managing postscript fonts, but it doesn't work on Vista to my knowledge. It would be nice if they would recommend a font manager other than the Windows system folder.
I figure Adobe was hoping that it would not be a major issue since their wonderful PDF format has taken hold for printing. Print shops do not have to install fonts before printing a piece anymore. Most people will read in these forums about the loss of support, throw up their hands and shake their heads, but do nothing about it. After all they too probably purchased the CS4 suite without knowing about this issue and have already spent their money. It doesn't look as though it's an issue on the Mac, but by the time you throw $3000 at an entry level Mac workstation and $1600 at the basic adobe apps, that's not a solution either. Especially when you have to go out and buy all new fonts anyhow, since the macs will not support the Windows postscript typeface formats either.
After doing a little price shopping for typefaces, I'm trying to try to keep using the few OTF and TTF fonts I've purchased since they're still working, since the prices of fonts these days are astronomical. I've installed a few fonts in the system folder, but too many and Acrobat distiller crashes. It's not cost effective to spend all of your income from design on $1600 font family sets, just to make changes to a document where you might have used a postscript face. Especially in this economy... It's another case of the investor getting rewarded for the release of an application and the customer is left holding the bag. Hopefully it's a bug, but not likely. It's probably some mandated decision by the higher ups in Adobe.
I'm sure larger companies with hundreds of employees probably have site licenses for typefaces in the OTF format, so for them it's not a problem, and since most people using PCs to do design opted for that platform because of the cost issue, Adobe probably doesn't care about them either. Maybe a solution will arise in the future, but it doesn't look likely. You will probably have to get the new formats of typefaces one by one. -
Adobe Standard 6.1 Problems with links
Hyperlinks in pdf's don't work.
I have created a 9 page newsletter in Microsoft Word. Each page contains articles with various types of hperlinks. Most of these links contain a "click here" type instruction. In the first 6 pages the links work well. In the last 3 pages some links work but most don't. In the past the newsletter has gone well using this process until lately. Over the last month 4 staff have started having problems with these links when converting a Word document to a pdf using Adobe Acrobat 6.1. We re-installed the program on our pc's and the server and downloaded updates. One staff member uses 8.0 Professional and he had problems with the links this morning too. Our IT help desk people can't help us and we MUST get our newsletter onto our website today. Any suggestions would be extremely welcome.First, be sure you have updates to AA6.0.6, the lastest version of AA6. I have no idea about any AA6.1. How did you create the PDF? To get the links to work properly you need to use PDF Maker. Printing to PDF will allow links, but they are only those that Acrobat or Reader recognize as such and are not actually built in links. If you start getting into non-standard URLs that include spaces and punctuation, then Acrobat will not properly recognize the links.
