Regarding an account issue:
I finally got through on an On-line Chat and received a very nice response that I would have to call directly to get the issue resolved.
I spoke with someone who said he could not help me, and transferred me to another department.
The fellow in that department said he could not help me, further stating that I should have not been transferred to his department and asked that I hold to be transferred to yet another department.
On that transfer -- "Please press x to be connected to y" the call was abruptly terminated.
I called Customer Service back again. After the usual "Please press such-and-such number," a pleasant-sounding person asked how she could assist.
I amusingly asked she not hang up on me, letting her know of my previous call, and proceeded again to explain the issue.
She asked that I please hold while she looks up the information.
I've now been on hold for 25 minutes. The line is still active. I'm just on hold.
I'm tempted to hand up and call back, but the person sounded very helpful and I don't want to lose my place in the queue again.
I'd also be happy to simply e-mail the account services department and let them get back to me, but it appears there is no way to do that.
Or is there? Anyone know of a valid account services customer service e-mail address?
It states that I can use social media. Social media for an account services question?
Beep. My call! Argh. I got disconnected again!

I am unable to view the screenshot that you sent. If I can ask you to repost it then I can see the error message verbatim. In the meantime, may I ask are you able to log into the website now? If not then what web browser are you using? Can I assume that you are going to www.verizonwireless.com? I know that it's common for people to use search engines to access websites, like Google, instead of typing into the URL. As you share the details then we can get this resolved once and for all.

Hello, I have problem with sync in my video

I will appreciate your advice. I made the video for You Tube in F4V format and then had to change format to wmv in order to submit for contest. After they converted that again to put it on their site, it is pretty much out of sync.
When I had it in F4V format, it was in sync. What should I do the next time, to prevent this problem?

Make any and all further exports from that master file. Someone wants a wmv? Make it from the master, etc etc.

hello I'm experiencing some problems with my iMessage and face time. I did with Apple provided me online. I did the steps. Nothing will work, it keeps saying activation turn on Wi-Fi when my Wi-Fi is turned on. As soon as I got this on Christmas. iMessage and FaceTime have not been working. My Apple and ID password are correct. Everything else is working fine. My iOS updates are up to date, everything is fine except FaceTime and iMessage

consider GameBrix.com, where you can create Flash based, casual
games using your web browser. No downloads are required. You can
create a game from scratch using a library of images, sounds and
game mechanics. You can also upload your own. The online script
editor will allow you to view and edit the ActionScripts associated
with each game mechanic. In short, a great way to ramp up on game
design and build your own game without investing a lot of $
upfront.

Your iPod touch will never appear in Windows Explorer, by the way. It doesn't have the "disk mode" that the older iPods did.

Hello, I've updated the iPhone I have got I have a problem I hope you respond to some of the applications no longer work, such as the safari and skype and many applications are no longer working with the ios7.0.4
Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue. -

the MacPro is the muscle machine and not constrained by power or cooling limitations like the MacBoo Pro is.
OR AT LEAST BE MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR REALLY HEAVY STUFF?
If you press the MacBook Pro like a desktop machine, it will blow fans like a hurricane but will do the job eventually.
The longer you blow fans on a laptop, the sooner it clogs up with crippling dust and shortens the life of the machine.
You'll need the top end 15" or better, not the 13" as it has no dedicated graphics, only CPU graphics.
Preferably if you just now getting into video, you should be considering Avid on a Windows 7 tower, it's because Apple has been ignoring the MacPro for hardware updates to improve it and it seems like they don't want to carry it anymore. Also the last Final Cut Pro version had Hollywood up in arms as Apple removed a lot of required abilities to make it more "consumer friendly" which upset the Pro market who likes control.
Apple is focusing on the consumer computing market and getting away from the "Pro" market which needs the heavier hardware to handle video needs. They stopped selling the X-RAID and the X-Server, so Apple really isn't a "computer" company any longer.
Sure you can use a MacBook Pro and a external monitor for doing home movies and such occasionally, but if your into serious production you need to consdier other options now.
There is nothing wrong in getting a MacBook Air and a Windows 7 professional video tower too. -
Did you know that Verizonwireless is saving your checking account information when you pay your bill by check and then making it part of your "MyVerizon" without you adding it? This means of course if they get hacked that information could be compromised. What do you think of this?
Credit card and debit card and checking and savings information is encrypted so it is possible to be hacked, but the odds are greater to get hit by the Love Boat then to have a wide scale hack.
Oh yes they do happen, Bank of America, Chase, Citibank, Target and quite a few others. But in all the years I have paid my invoice with saved card information I never been hacked.
You use good passwords and the risk is minimal.

Hello i am using TimeMachine to back-up entire Mac image (data + system) on an usb-local drive. I would like (on top of it) add a specific plan to back up some files on a remote network drive. Does TimeMachine support multiple back-up plans ? How ?
Time Machine is capable of backing up to multiple locations, and can be used to back up to both a local hard drive and a networked drive (provided that that drive is in or connected to a Time Capsule or another Mac that is sharing it over the network). The catch, though, is that you can't specify different things to back up to different destinations. Whatever you exclude from Time Machine backups is excluded from ALL backups, and whatever is included is included on all.
So, get a large enough drive that you can back up everything you want in all locations, or use something else for maintaining the network backup.

Back after a brief absence, things look a little bit different.
I'm trying to take a 16 minute mini dv video and compress it for use on the web. I'm interested in any suggestions you may have on settings for the video and audio tracks. I've tried using Sorenson 3 (15 frames, key frames set to automatic, 320 x 240) for video and IMA 4:1 (mono) for audio. The resulting video looked great but the file size came in at about 255 Mb.

I have been unplugging my motu audio interface and then using headphones at work. I have not changed any detailed audio output settings in logic. When I read that the jack might be a problem I tried switching headphones. This actually helped. I am using dre-beats headphones and they seem to be having issues with the mac/jack-(the phasing/panning problems. I can use these headphones with other devices but not the mac. I have to use ipod ear buds and the phasing seems fixed. Hopefully this information is helpful to someone else.
If anyone knows how to correct this issue please let me know its difficult to know what my final mixes are going to sound like and I have had to keep bouncing everything into i-tunes- sync to ipod and then listen in my car radio. -
