There's no problem with that, go ahead. At the end of the day, if they're saying you are something that you're not, there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't be allowed to tell them to back off and prove why. Just bare in mind that if it does elevate to a full on legal war, everything hidden on both sides comes out of the dark in the end hehe

So I spent 2 hours writing a huge post about how I love what Apple has done with the Audio/MIDI/Sound config tools in OSX.
I spent alot of time trying to be positive. And i get to the end and click "Post" - this stops me and gives me the following vague message:
"You have included content in your post that is not permitted."
I am not sure what this means or why it appeared. I used no negative content in my post, no cursing or trolling or anything... And i wouldn't try to troll or flame on these forums anyways. I've posted some problems I've had, which were all addressed very quickly by the way. And I've always said what I thought, but never just posted things to be negative.
And then after my post is rejected, i tried again. The discussion forums offered to restore my previous draft, but I clicked yes and nothing happened. Then the entire Discussions site pretty much stopped functioning... I tried closing reopening Chrome. I tried a completely new session in Chrome Incognito. I tried using Safari. None worked.
I was then offered a survey to take. I clicked "yes", and nothing happened. Then I looked at the Javascript Link for the survey and used the Chrome console to send the javascript anyways. And then it said the survey was behind my browser (it wasn't) and there was an "X" button to close the yellow notification at the top of the page. Then restarted my computer and it's finally working, but my post is still being rejected, which is ridiculous.
Anyways, went through alot to say something positive. That is the exact thing that gets to me though, it's the censorship. Why am I not allowed to say something good? Hopefully this one goes through...I don't believe I'm circumventing any DRM/Copyright. I'm currently enrolled in a Harvard eDx Copyright Law class. As long as you are original and offer a minimum of creativity, you are eligable for a copyright, without any need for registration. But that's besides the point. I can see how it may have flagged the post though.
Ultimately, what I was trying to do at the time is play music using software that I own and stream this in online video. But the comment about streaming my personal music online is just an example of something awesome I can do with an Apple product.

I posted a question in the discussion and replied the response "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." I re-read my post. There was no swear word, no questions about doing anything illegal or violation any TOS, and no link that could cause a problem. So I started editing my post and I found the guilty word: "Streaming" and "Live" together (let's see if it goes through in this post).
My suggestion is, instead of giving a broad statement, to actually list the words that are not permitted. This will save us time trying to figure out what offended the automated censor.EricDu wrote:

I still think the filters could be more friendly. Taking, for example, the user's posting history into account.
I would agree, but Jive, the software that these forums run on, may not allow that sort of flexibility. Or Apple Legal may not allow that sort of flexibility.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

BUT they were all unblocked (contact unblocked) by my mobile (Android version) Skype itself automatically, and listed them one by one on the screen, and about 30 seconds later, they all were disappeared suddenly. Hrm... that may be true and this may be a function of the phone email client that Apple just doesn't do.
No, I can easily MANUALLY delete the messages. I would prefer if I didn't have to do it twice, tho. Once on the mail server and once on the phone.
What I think the phone needs to do is, when it checks the POP, anything NOT there should be removed locally. I think you are correct on POP; the phone will poll the mx (mail exchanger) and the mx will pass off the messages to the phone. The phone then keeps ALL of that unitl you manually delete it.
If, say, I remove a message from the mx, I would like the phone, when next polls, to see that that particular message isn't on the server anymore and remove it locally.
Perhaps it's just me but if I delete the message on the mx itself, via my ISP's webmail interface, I really don't want to have to remove it again from my phone.

I've been using the Firefox browser for nearly a year now but for the past three days I can't open my tiscali email account via Firefox. The message "you have undefined new mails in your inbox" comes up. Talk Talk technical help says there is a problem with Firefox and advised me to use Internet Explorer. I can get into my account through Explorer but would much prefer to use Firefox so please help me out.
Apparently TalkTalk mail will work with Firefox 4 and Firefox 5 ''if'' you set the browser to ''lie'' to TalkTalk mail by saying that you are still using version 3.6.

Note: when you open about:config the first time, it will display a warning message that you should be careful with the changes you make. That's definitely good to bear in mind.

I was wondering how do you get the music on your old ipod to the new ipod?
Because i have the Ipod Touch 3G and im getting the Ipod4G, and i was trying to get the music to go to the libary but it wouldnt transfer.Because i didnt purchase all my music i download some from other places so not all my music transferred. So i need a different way to get my music to my new Ipod. i was wondering if you just plug it in to the computer and if it would ask you to download the songs from the previous ipod im not sure so please help me out. Thanks!All you have to do is connect your new iPod to the computer that has the library for your old iPod.
When iTunes comes up, click on your new iPod under Devices.
At the top of the Summary Page click Music.
Click Synch Music.
Do the same thing for Photos, Apps, Movies and so on...
Now just synch the iPod. -

Did you run autconfig on db than appstier? Is there any error?

Lost my contacts in ios8 update and now I can't post my question here
I posted my question here and it got deleted and they told me to go post it on the Developer forum cause it contains info about the new version of OSX coming out next month, but I'm not a developer and the developer forum sends me here if it's a question about using a product. And I have a question about using my iPhone 5s. Please don't delete this question again.
I updated my iphone 5s (64 gig) and ipad 2 (16 gig) to ios 8 last week and I stupidly said yes to iCloud Drive before I read all the warning signs not to. My photos are still there cause I didn't have them in icloud, but my contacts are gone on my phone. I updated my Mac Mini to (the new version of OSX after Mavericks and I'm hoping if I don't say the name of it this post won't get deleted) and I still see all my contacts on my computer, I'm just not sure how to get them back on my phone. Should I restore my phone in itunes to a previous backup from last month? Figured I'd check here before I went with that.

When I plug the ipod into the computer nothing happens. It sill shows the apple icon on the touch and a bar. It doesn't show in itunes at all. -
It worked fine up until a couple of days ago. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it and keep getting this error message. What do I do?
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
