Just realised my 7 year old has been using my apple id. God knows how he remembered it. He has spent a lot of money. Has any one experience of this? Am i able to get a refund?
Maybe. You can ask:
Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us
iTunes says all sales are final but they may make an exception -
Broadband tuner has locked out my Internet and can't uninstall.
I installed BroadbandTuner per my ISP suggestion. Saw that it would be easily uninstalled if needed. Since I installed it I have no Internet access. I can't find any sign of an uninstaller for it. Tried several restarts and no change. Tried a Time Machine restore and it encounters an error and stops. I have seen other posts on resetting the changes manually, but this is my first Mac and I have no idea where to start on that. I know I'm not the only person to have problems with this app, so I hope someone can offer a solution.
Whew, when you run the Installer again it should have an unistall feature, but I guess that may not work...

I have just found out my 10 year old has spent £721.77 on my iTunes account in the last 6 days. My bank can't help me and there is no one available from Apple to help me at all. What on earth am I going to do? Am in tears here. I am a single mother and my rent is due at the end of this week!!!!
You've tried contacting iTunes Support ? Purchases are considered final, but you can try contacting them via this page and see what they say : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.
If the purchases were done on an iOS device, then to try and stop it happening again you can use Settings > General > Restrictions on it to turn off in-app purchases, and to require your password to be entered for every download (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need re-entering). You can also hide the App Store ('Installing Apps' set 'off') and the iTunes store app via the Restrictions screen. -
My 2 year old has deleted my 'apps store' icon and I cannot figure out how to get it back? Doesn't seem to be available in the on-line apps store, ironically enough
He dragged the icon out of the dock at the bottom and disappeared. That icon is merely a "shortcut" that opens the application when you click on it.
You still have the app. Open your applications folder and look for the App Store app icon. Click and hold down on the App Store icon and drag the icon down into the dock to replace it. That puts the shortcut back into the dock. -

I hate my Motorola Droid Razr! After 3 years it has turned out to be a real crappy cell phone. Does not belong in the "smartphone" category. Forever freezes up, doesn't respond to anything I ask it to do. I am purchasing another brand of smartphone and will NEVER go back to Motorola again. I have tried many help/support tutorials and solutions and nothing works.I HATE THIS PHONE!!!
If you've had the phone for 3 years, then it's time for something new. The Motorola phones I've had have been pretty solid, but if you want to switch brands or even providers, then go for it.
Technology changes so quickly that a 3 year old phone, regardless of manufacturer, is likely to seem slow, buggy, laggy - simply because it doesn't have the power to match the network capabilities NOW. If it's only capable of 3G speeds, it will be slow compared to a phone with 4G capability. After three years of use, the internal memory may be maxed out, especially if you haven't cleared stuff out, wiped the cache, etc, causing freezing and non-responsiveness. It may not have enough RAM to effectively run updated apps....
I would say you are due for a new phone - so compare the newest models, go to a store and try them out, and then get whatever brand and model will work best for you. -
I have an iPhone and my 9 year old has an iPad, they are both linked to my Apple ID however I want his to be separate now so that we can send messages and face time. Any suggestions how I do this???
Thank you. I tried changing his id but it changed it on both devices:( Don't really have a clue:( I have set up an email account so that he can get an Apple ID.
Do you by chance know how I do this?!? -

My two year old has managed to invert the colour on a MacBook, so that everything appears in negative. How can this be reversed? I have explored Preferences, but can;t seem to see anything relevant.
Yes, he does have agile fingers and they are everywhere! I managed to find a solution to the problem by going to the Language section and resetting to black on white...
All bets and thanks for the response

My powerbook g4 (about 6 years old) has just started freezing up--mostly when I'm in Apple Mail, but not always. I have been restarting and it seems to work fine. Any ideas what it might be? I just repaired permissions.
thanks!

Yes, it has been running slow. If I do that will it erase what is stored on the hard drive?
Thanks,
Anne
Tom wants you to run Disk Utility from the install disc and then select your boot volume and then click "Repair Disk" to check and correct any directory problems. That will not erase any data files on the disc. If Disk Utility actually makes repairs, do another "Repair Disk" operation, as sometimes one repair will uncover another error. Stop when it gives the volume a clean bill of health without making any repairs. Then restart the machine and see how things work. -

My volume down button have stuck but it was not my falt and no dent is on the button and I read in an article that apple will replace it because it is a defect and my phone is 2 years old so means out of warrenty just want to ask that will apple replace it.
If your phone is out of warranty you will be given the option of buying a new phone or getting one with an out of warranty replacement, which is cheaper that buying a new phone.
