Help - 1st time downloading apps

Hi, I am trying to download a free app for the very 1st time. When I tap install, I was prompt to sign and then eventually to supply by CC details. Is this a normal procedure, even with free apps?

    I have tried to download some apps to my ipad and the icons still have 'waiting' under them about 18 hours later! I have never had this problem before but have just updated the OS. Any ideas?

    Try resetting >   Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    Then follow the instructions for re downloading apps >  Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    If resetting doesn't help, try resetting the network settings.
    Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    Then try downloading again.

    Need help! I downloaded Six-Guns into my newly bought NOKIA Lumia 720, but it doesn't show up in the App List, so I cannot play it nor uninstall it. Still it takes more than 800 MB and only left around 400 MB in my internal storage!!! An argent assistance is needed!!!

    Yes, it's under the Game.
    It can be better if the game also shows up in App List for my convenience.

    Credit card either isn't supported with the purchase or you typed it wrong.
    Or just log out, log back in and type again. Could be a system error.

  • Please Help : Cant Run Downloaded Apps

    Hi, I have a new 16gb Iphone bought yesterday in Australia.
    After setup I went to the app store and tried to download two free apps. They downloaded and installed ok.
    Problem: When I try to run them the apps start to run but then abort back to the home screen and wont run.
    I have tried restoring factory defaults via Itunes but that didnt seem to fix it.
    Apps that come with the Iphone work.
    I went to the store I bought it from and they dont know whats wrong and offered to get it repaired but I dont want to be without my Iphone. Im not sure if it is actually broken anyway.
    Please help, Im desperate

    The I Phone apps do work, but not if you have the latest software, if we can find a way of reverting it back a version everything will be o.k. The I Phone is not a great phone (very basic for texting and phone calls, you can't forward on messages or create contact groups etc...) but as an internet music video player it's o.k.
    Hopefully with more updates it will improve in speed and functionality, you could take it back until that happens!?

    Then the next step would be to restore your phone.  My advice is that prior to restoring you import your photos and videos to your computer and back up your contacts (by syncing them with iCloud or to a supported program on your computer using iTunes) as a number of users report losing these when restoring their device.

    Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, there is a blank app icon on the home screen. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

    I have to actually same problem today 23.10.2012. For an example I have only changed billing methods and have bought hundreds of apps but I remember clearly that I bought for an example ,,Wikipanion Plus'' and ,,OPlayer'' which is now HD OPlayer and I did not see them in purchased items, neither ,,not on ipad/iphone'' nour ,,not on my computer'' and I check in both my computer. I confirm hereby that I took the chance to re-buy these two Apps again through the same account but I got the message ,,As you have bought the previous version on this account you will get this update for free'' so I clicked yes and I got them both. This doesnt only proof that I have purchased them before and purchased items in iTunes Store has some lacks to fix but also it proofs that I also bought them through that specific account as I had to confirm the buying process. In my opnion this is not a thing which Apple should be relaxed with as its very important that powerusers and regular consumers can trust and rely on doing business and to shop via iTunes. I have a lot of expensive Apple Hardware and for me this is a stepping stone and a serious test on the circle of trust. If this cant be fixed I cannot recommend others to trust the store.

    Do you have Restrictions set that prevent adding the apps? (Settings>General>Restrictions).
    What happens whenyou tru to download the apps directly to the iPod.

    Please help!  Nokia online support not available for at least another day.  I have been trying to download apps from the store and it keeps giving the following comment: "There is a problem completing your request.  Try again later.  ERROR CODE: 80090010"
    I can't even download the updates for the preinstalled apps.  I have tried several times, turned the phone off and on, etc.  I also can't find a reference anywhere to this error code.

    Hi, febumax. We appreciate you sharing your concern in the forum. Still cannot download apps? What is the model of your phone? If you are getting an error message or an error code, can you provide? Does it happen regardless of the internet connection you're using? By the way, have you tried installing an app via windowsphone.com? Did it work? We hope to hear from you soon. ;-)

  • Problem with downloading apps. "Unable to download application" error.Help please!

    I'm having a major issue with updating or downloading apps. They won't download! I try to download an app, it's says "waiting", then it looks like it's about to download. Then, suddenly, the "loading"  bar gets halway filled, then it goes back to saying "waiting". This cycles about three or so times and then I get this message: "Unable to download application. Could not be downloaded at this time" with choices to be "done" or "retry".
    I have tried EVERYTHING to fix this. I tried pausing the download and restarting, I tried soft and hard resets, I tried signing out and back into the App Store, I tried resetting my settings, I tried restoring the phone as a new iPhone, nothing works! I am at my wits end! I have an appointment at the Genius bar tomorrow, but I'm hoping someone here can help me so I won't have to keep that appointment.  I've tried searching for my problem in the forums but none of the results are like mine. Could someone please help?
    EDIT: I also tried checking the iTunes queue. No purchases are stuck in the queue.

    Just wanted to update, since I can no longer edit my original post. I tried disabling bluetooth. That didn't do any good, either.

  • Fascinate Market all of a sudden stopped downloading apps - pls help

    I bought a Samsung Fascinate today. It never downloaded any apps.  I did a Master restart, and it started to download apps (about 4) - then it stopped downloading.  I click on "install," it says "application will download" and then it immediately says "download unsuccessful."
    I called customer service at Verizon three times - spoke to their tech guys - and they recommended getting a new phone.
    So, I went tonight and got a new phone. It was working great - downloading apps.
    Then all of a sudden, it stopped downloading apps and every time I try to download anything, it says "download unsuccessful."
    So it's not the phone, I gather.  I don't know what to do.  I'm so frustrated.
    Thanks for any and all help you can offer.  I really like the phone and don't want to get a different one, but I need to be able to download apps.  Clearly, customer service/tech support is worthless (they were Googling the problem to help me - I can do that!).

    Letstry some different steps to try to correct this problem. 
    First you would want to verify that you have the 3G coverage on the phone. 
    You can verify that information at the top, next to the signal bars.
    Then could I get you to do a soft rest on the device. 
    Press the Power key.
    Touch Power off.
    Touch OK.
    Press the Power key to power on the device.
    Then dial *228 send and option 1,  then dial *228 send and option 2.
    If you are attempting to download the same application, try downloading a different application to see if you get the same error message.  
    Then try this step:
    From the home screen, select Applications.
    Select development,
    Then allow 3rd party applications.  
    Finally  before downloading applications try stopping the applications that are running in the background.  
    From the home screen, select Applications.
    Select Running Services, Choose unnecessary applications and Force Stop.

    Well, you still haven't told us the particulars of what you're doing.  But clearly you are asking your iPad to do a lot of downloading at the same time.
    My recommendation:
    Reset your iPad by holding the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.
    Sync your iPad using iTunes on your computer.  Let iTunes bear the downloading and/or burden for you.
    In the future, when it comes to updating over-the-air, do one thing at a time.
