HELP! 5600 ultra
I just bought a msi 5600 ultra i was running a 5200 but wanted the extra horsepower .Ok on with the porblem it works fine in 2d no real problems but as soon as i try to benchmark i get the problems .In 3dmark03 i get good play in the first 4 parts of the test but when i get to pixel shades and the rag troll test it tears bad lots of blocks and missing pixels and then it gets really bad i try to check my clock speeds and i get problem with nvgo?.dll.HELP ME

ps all updates are in except for vias i tried to put them in and the card didnt work at all
im pretty much having the same problem. the game hangs then it comes back with messed up pixels. happens only in 3D games and only when the card is being worked. it also happens in 3D mark03. And it happens much quicker when i enable FSAA to any sample at all ( 2 AA and 4AA). i have

I just ordered a msi fx 5600 ultra, and I kinda worried now because there is no mention of the fx 5600 ultra on offical MSI Site. I see the regular fx 5600, but the the ultra. anyone know what the deal is here? Also after reading some reviews on the ultra vs ati 9500 pro, i might just get an ati card since the ultra falls way short of ati. whats your opinion?

I would like to know if the Leadteck A310 GeForce FX 5600 Ultra 128 Mo is compatible with a KT4V ver 1.0. The test report of MSI is rather short and does not mention any older card than a GeForce 4 Mx.
I am asking this, because she doesn't boot with a SUMA GeForce 4 Ti 4200 SE 64 Mo. And I mean, when I plug the card in the AGP port, everything is like if I unplug the power cable. I've seen another user on this forum, with the same problem (GeForce 4 Ti 4200 64Mo, but a Siluro), and no solution where found. Even with nothing on it (no proc, no ram, nothing), the card it booting. But as soon as I put the Suma, no reaction. I tried a Geforce 2 MX, and it works just fine.

I've tried a Geforce 4 Ti 4200 SE 128Mo - 8X. It works perfectly. I really dont know why my old GeForce 4 Ti4200 SE 64Mo- 4X doesn't work. Usualy, when there's a compatibility problem, at least, the system boots (even if it hangs soon after). But here, with the old GeForce, not a move. not even a breath from fans.
So, I decided to buy a new graphic card = a FX 5600 Ultra. By the way, ATI offers more interesting card, but there are so many compatibility issues that I am afraid to try one... If enough people can assure me I will be safe with an ATI 9600 Pro on a KT4V, I may give it a try. -
5600 ULTRA - 350Mhz or 400Mhz? - are they foolling us all?

I am interested in buying a MSI Geforce FX 5600 ULTRA, but I understand that NVIDIA has sent out two versions of the 5600 Ultra chip: a 350MHZ version and a 400MHZ version.
Press states that the market if filled with Ultras with different speeds and at the same price! As you can imagine, I wish to buy the 400MHZ version.
My questions are:
Which version of the chip does MSI use in their cards?
Has MSI ever used the 350MHZ? And if true, is it possible that I pick up a card with the old chip?

If your heart is set on the GeForceFX 5600 Ultra, the answer to your question is 400Mhz RAMDAC.

I need help using Ultra Key on a green screen clip.
I am using Adobe Premiere Pro CC to edit a blue screen clip, however, once I apply the Ultra key to the clip, I notice that when I start to render (using Adobe Media Encorder CC), the top part of the green screen clip gets blocked (cut off) by the replacement background! I have tried different backgrounds but I keep getting the same chest-to-head level blocked off with the background. When I remove the Ultra Key and render the
clip with it's green screen, then it renders just fine! BELOW IS A SCREEN SHOT OF MY PROBLEM.

Ok this is my problem With my sound turned on and the sound Acceleration turned on at all I get massive Video lag while playing open GL games.once I turn the sound off or turn the Acceleration off (turned off I get echoy stagered sound)the problem stops.
Things I have tried to fix it.
To start I was using the onboard sound with the latest drive.Thinking this might be the problem I turned off onboard sound. I bought a Typhoon 5.1 card same problems.So I bought a soundblaster live 5.1 card downloaded lastest drive same problems. just bought a soundblaster Audigy Gamer same problems. I tested my friends 2 year old soundblaster live 5.1 Gamer card and it seems to work just fine.
I have read both the KT4 Unofficial FAQ and the trouble shooting guide nothing in the two worked. I installed the lastest Via 4 in 1,video drivers and the lastest windows updates. I have tried moving all my pci cards in to each slot.I even went into my BIOS and swaped the IRQs for the PCI slots around.Only thing I have not tried is a bucket of water and a 20 pound Sldge. I have posted at 3 o4 other places no one can seem to find the problem PLEASE HELP I think I might be losing my mind.fdisk formated and reinstaled windows 3 times. fresh install each time i installed a sound card. so I dont think lingering drivers is the problem which also means dx9 has been installed fresh each time.also I have been dealing with this for nearly a month and I am at a loss.

MSI GeforceFX 5600 Ultra Question
I am trying to figure out how i can make my TV and my monitor both display my screen, i have composite cables, and all the adapters needed, and it works fine when installed alone. I had my tower hooked to my tv by just the composite cables, displayed fine. I did the same on my computer's monitor, without the TV out connector in, and then i installed them both, and when i had the monitor plugged into it's correct port and the Composite out thing connected to where it should be, the TV became my monitor. I then used the adapter to connect to the 2nd slot, and my monitor is the default monitor, but my tv will not diaplay anything. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Help 645E Ultra with RAM problem
Hi, This is the first time I tried to build a system. I just bought a 645E ultra/MS 6547 Ver2 MoBo, a CPU P4 2,4/533 and RAM one stick DDR 512MB PPNY PC2700 /333. I cannot get the system running. It hangs at the memory detection test (according to the Led D Bracket). I also tried DDR Spectec 256MB PC 2100 /266, but with the same result. A friend brought his Samsung PC 2700 256MB Ram, and it worked on my board. I tried mentioned 256MB Spected Ram on his system and it also worked OK. So any idea what the problem can be and how to fix?? Is there a compatibility problem with RAM? Thanks, Velti

I temp used memory from a friend and ordered new memory from Crucial (the memo they advice for my MoBo). I received the new memory from Crucial and it works fine :P . The "old" memory sticks that did not worked on my MoBo work fine on other MoBo's, so this MoBo is very, very picky on RAM. 2 out of 4 brands did not work although they work perfectly on other MoBo's.

I have an MSI 5600 Ultra, and it has a DVI and VGA plug on it.
I have one monitor on the VGA plug but want to now have two monitors. I do not have any slots left for a second VGA card.
Can I plug a DVI monitor onto the cards other port, and have both running screens at the same time, or is it only one port at a time can work ?

What is that plastic bracket mounted on the bottom of Ultra 40 M2?
It won't let the workstation stand evenly but rather tilted to one side.
The bracket moves left to right and says open/close on it. Presumably to access the bottom
of the workstation?It's designed to help the Ultra stand up with more stability.
You're supposed to turn it 90 degrees.

Solved, it was really stupid. For some reason my Multilib repo got disable in the pacman config. So the 32bit nvidia drivers were old...

After testing and discussion on NVIDIA forums with someone else having the same problem, we realized that it is apparently a problem with any Xorg 1.7 release using Xinerama with a monitor positioned Left of another display.
The person I was talking to said he bugged it, and rearranged his monitors right of. I downgraded to xorg 1.6 and haven't given it too much though since. I should probably follow up on that and submit a bug to xorg or something... or you are welcome to!
Works great with Xinerama turned off, which is actually a fine option for me since I don't tend to move windows between displays, except I am using Xinerama to work around an xmonad bug in handling multiple non-Xinerama displays. I would have never caught it if I hadn't tried turning Xin on to fix the xmonad issue right before the 1.7 upgrade and gotten curious why my setup started going crazy (since I have a monitor with two monitors to the left of it)..
One thing that also works is making your left most monitor screen 0 and setting the other two monitors to be RightOf it, or at least that worked for me. Unfortunately, my left most monitor is a 46 inch tv that is often turned off or on a different input, so I can't really have it being screen 0. -
[SOLVED] - X won't start - Missing modules??
Hello all, thanks for looking.
I have installed from the Arch from the latest media, and followed the Begginers Guide.
I have installed to a partition on my hard disk, one of many, and installed Grub and the mbr.
The system boots fine. ALSA works, Xorg is installed, and pacman -Syu says "nothing to do"
It all seems fine except... X won't start.

It appears that some modules are missing, and indeed none of those mentioned in the errors are there if I do lsmod.
But that is about the limit of my understanding.
Can anyone tell me how to add the modules if they aren't even on the machine at all.
Pacman doesn't find them. For example pacman -S glx gives package not found.
Any ideas or pointers much appreciated.
