Help! 5700 Xpress Music unable to display msg send...

Please help with this.
i m a 5700XM user in New Zealand. My 5700 never displays the msg sender's name (i have sender's phone number stored in the phone book).
Here's the situation:
A friend named Jack is stored in my phone book with a cell phone number 0211123456 (fake number but length is correct).
If Jack call me, my 5700XM will show "Jack's Calling.."
HOWEVER, if he send me a txt msg, my 5700XM only shows the incomming number which is "+64211123456"!!! This is anoying.
I don't know if there is another way to config the phone to recognise the +64 number, or may be there is some sort of software to fix it.

Always store your contacts the international way with+ sign. Most likely the messageservers use the international code by default.

*There is an error to report the correct time in Message details as well as,
*There is an error the picture taken time to show the correct time of picture taken.
*In 3-D Tones another error that it does not work in reverb mode of Railway station; Duct n Underwater either no trajectory enhancement at all in these subsets.
*Loudness option in music player settings either on or off it has no effect on listening experience as if it were not present there at all.
*Audio theme sounds are not syncronised in orderly fashion, these sounds after 1.55 sec interval after pressing the buttons of associated commandes.

Need Help with 5700 Xpress Music LCD Controller

Hi Guys,
Does anyone knows which driver chip is integrated on the LCD display of 3720c, 5610, 5630, 5700, 6110n, 6220c, 6303, 6303i, 6500s, 6600i, 6600s, 6650f (inside), 6720, 6730c, E65 models? These all models use the same LCD display (Piccadilly II) ?
OR
does anyone knows the manufacturer (Philips or Epson or ?) these displays?
Any help or directions or links to the datasheet are very much appreciated.

5700 Xpress Music and strange warning tone

Just got this phone and over all it's great. But when you change to a different Profile for example, on all other Nokia's you get the standard "beep" when you activate the new Profile. On the 5700 you get a "ding" or half beep. Not sure if its my phone or not. Anyone have this model yet to test yours out for me.

Have had mine for a few days. I tried what you mentioned and determined the 'ding' you get is related to the setting (e.g. if you select SILENT then you don't get ANY 'ding' and if you select OUTDOOR you get a loud ding).

My 5530 xpress music won't display the 'now playin...

On the advertisment, they usually show that there is the 'now playing' on the homescreen. At first, when I play my music and when I was at the 'Now Playing', when I press the end key, which is the red button, it will display a small now playing, but the day later, it didnt, i tried and tried, but still the same thing. Is this a problem? Or just the settings? What should I do?

hey few months back i realise my head phones out put is too low !, ,
my head set gives normal output ,than suddenly my head set volume output goes too low,
what is the pro. is this , i try other headsets to my AD44 adaptor, but they gives nice n normal out put, but my Hss4 headphone not give that too much songs, plz help me out ...

Nokia service centres will not remove the SIM lock for you, for that you need to get the restriction code from the operator.
They also won't remove operator-branded software. The vast majority of phones in many countries are bought by the networks, so no phone manufacturer -not even Nokia as the biggest of the big- is in a position to upset their biggest buyers.

Display problem in 5800 xpress music

I had purchased a 5800 xpress music in April 2010. For the last two months there is some problems in the display. Sometimes, the display is gone and only lines are seen, when the key pad lock on. This pevails for long time. Due to this, I am unable to make any call or identify the incoming call. Any solution?

What version of Firmware ? Check for any updates thru' the OVI Suite..
If that doesn't solve the issue, you may try the Soft Reset by dialing *#7370# followed by 12345 (Default security code) when prompted. If you have set your own code, enter that instead... Note that the Soft Reset will erase all data from the phone, so back-up your data before doing that...

5700 Express Music, Need Help!! Bluetooth is not ...

Hi everyone..... Im writing first time like this....
I bought new 5700 Express Music on 23rd of august... First 2 days it was fine.... yesterday,I was transfering some songs to my friends mobile via bluetooth.... suddenly i got a message in the display "SENDING FAILED".... I cant send data via bluetooth.... But I can receive data..... Only sending is not possible....
Anyone please help me......

Hello,
Make sure the recipient has enough memory as some phones refuse connections if they don't have enough memory on their phone. Also, make sure the recipient's bluetooth is activated and visible to all.
If this doesn't work, then I suggest resetting your phone to factory default. Remember, you'll lose all your data.

[Help] Nokia 5130 Xpress Music Video Problem

Hello Guys i saw their are many pros here who can really help me.
I have problem with my nokia 5130 xpress music. When i try to play video i can listen sounds but unable to view the video running or sometimes it hangs after that i have to hold red button to stop music player. This is happening from two days. Please Help me

Obvious that u cannot Play a VIDEO file with .wma since it is a AUDIO format (Windows media audio)
The thing which u r referring to should be ".WMV" which is Windows Media Video

HELP ON NOKIA 5530 xpress music

hi, i am new user, and just buyed 2-3 days back a new nokia 5530 xpress music, and i am not happy with it, the main problems are
1) earphone problems - the earphones are not good i mean i got the white color earphone still the sound in it is so bad that no bass in it, simple voice with low sound, also buyed a new earphone but same problem. i hate that
2) music player- well the music is very low as compared to samsung corby pro. this is xpress music but has not much sound where else samsung corby pro has more and better sound than us wat the hell.
3) battery problem- well the battery life as told music can be played upto 27 hrs, and talktime 4 hrs, and standby time, huh ( ALL FAKE). i yesterday rechraged my xpress music fully at around 4 pm, and i dint listen to any music, was just msging my friends and talk to someone for around 30 mins and then was just msging and msging and i stoped at around 12 am night, i saw my battery and its almost down i was shocked and suprise that battery only worked for around 8-9 hrs wat the hell grrrrrrrrrr. at 1 am the battery was at 1 point i mean i am so disappointed i felt like kicking the phone out my balcony. and ya when i recharge my battery it recharges in almost 20-25 mins that too full charge i mean i dont understand y is it happening like that

1. I use in ear earphones and the music is great
2. Music quality on the 5800 is better than the corby pro whose distortion levels are quite high. If we are talking of volume, that is another matter. volume is not equivalent to quality. I am not sure if you are just not using good enough earphones or what, but the presets on mine has a difference on the songs. I can hear the difference. I also listen to songs at volume level 3. So I really think its your earphone which has a problem.
3. These battery life quotations are maximum. Same goes for almost any brand. Music lifetime quotations are impossible to reach in real life. I could tell you how to get 27hours music on your phone but I can assure you, you wont do it.

I know that is my fault but i getted some viruses on my nokia 5800 xpress music! I do not know the type of the viruses but all i know is that is eating my memory! Even if i erased all things, i still have at sis aplications to much memori in phone so i have 0 kb memory in C at phone! Can you help me? I tryed to put again the software but i only get a new version on it or the same version and the viruses remain there! Help me please because I started to miss my phone...

Do this:
A hard reset (x6, 5800 and 5230 only) is done by the following (warning, this deletes all data on your phone):
1.) Turn off the phone and remove battery for 5min
2.) Reinsert battery
3.) Press and hold the green, red and camera buttons. DO NOT LET GO.
4.) While holding the three buttons, press the power key to boot the phone up.
5.) Keep on pressing until you see the country selection screen.
A correctly done hard reset would show you that everything on the phone (contacts, messages, calendar entries, etc) would be deleted. So it is advisable to back them up. Upon restoration, do not restore settings or files if possible.
Also, format your memory card. Just make a copy of your songs and pictures on your PC.
