HELP a/v ipod to tv

I've bought three different cables and now I have a dock. I have set it to tv out on and ask, and when i select a movie it says to atach video accessory so i do and nothing happens the screen stays the same! i've tried it on three different TV's and I know I have it hooked up right! Please HELP I don't know what else to do. I have read almost all the forums and i haven't seen one like my problem! I will apreciate any help at all thank you for time! oh yea i have an 80g classic

Thanks for the question Patrick. I really wasn't sure and then determined I have a new Classic video. Some folks at the electronics store told me I needed the Apple composite video cable. Apparently the new models only work with the Apple brand. So, $50 later I have video working. Does this sound correct to you? I also see it should have been on another forum instead of the 5th generation. Sorry about that.

Where are you physically located?
What country's Store are you using?
The two have to be the same and the payment method for your account also has to be associated (billing address, where iTunes gift card was purchased) with that country.
Has the ID(s) worked before for purchases for this country's store?

Help!! Ipod couldn't update, so tried to DFU mode and it still wont update or even turn on!!

Help! My Ipod touch won't update! When I try to update it gives me a "network timed out" error message. I have tried everything. Disabling my antivirus, turning off my firewall, changing the time sync. So I tried to restore it in DFU mode, but it still is givng me a "network timed out" message. Now my ipod is blank and won't restore or update. What can I do? Have gone both to the apple store and geek sqaud for help and both blame it on each other. Any ideas?

Disabling the computer's security software (firewall and antivirus) usually resolves that error.

Is it not charging at all? Did you try to reset? If YES to both, request for a replacement of the ipod. Battery or the unit itself is defective. Cheers!

Have you tried another cable?
Look at the dock connector. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, foreign material and cracked or broken plastic

HELP! My ipod shows up in itunes but none of the songs show up.

I need HELP. I just restored my ipod mini and manually put my songs from home onto my ipod. Everything worked great. I took my ipod to my work to download a few podcast and when I connect it to the computer, Itunes opens and recognizes my ipod. BUT there are no songs listed under Device/Ipod/Music etc. I can drag and drop a podcast to the music file and it acts as tho it transfers fine and shows up in the music file. When I disconnect and try to find it on my ipod it is not there. Why don't my songs (384 songs on my ipod)show up under Device/Ipod/Music ???? I have spent half the day trying to check the support and no one seems to have this problem. I am not able to update the playlist or anything. It recongizes my ipod but not anything on it. My 20g iPod doesn't show up anymore in iTunes or on the desktop, but the iPod itself does say "do not disconnect" when it's connected to the USB port. It's plugged directly into my computer and I've tried switching ports, so it's not that. I was able to connect my friend's nano, so the problem can't be the port.
I've done the 5 Rs without success. I only have OS X 10.2.8, so can't upgrade to iTunes 7. I had iTunes 6.0.5 but changed back to 6.0.4 after hearing that it might help with the iPod problem. Nothing seems to have changed, though, the iPod is still unrecognized by iTunes and the desktop.
I've read a bunch of posts saying to repair disk permissions, but when I open Disk Utility(which does show the iPod) my only options are Verify Disk and Repair Disk. Verify and Repair Disk Permissions are there but are in grey (can't click on them.)...
And my warranty ran out ages ago, so the Apple people won't help me. Great for them, but I'm screwed.
So I know very little about how these things work, and everything I've tried has failed thus far. Any advice you have would be wonderful!

Update: I get this message when the iPod is plugged into the computer:
"You have inserted a disk containing no volumes that Mac OS X can read. To use the unreadable volumes, click Initialize. To continue with the disk inserted, click Ignore."
There are three options: Initialize, Ignore, and Eject, but none of them do anything. ??? I'm clueless as to what to do here.

I need help with my ipod nano.
I haven't turned it on in a while and suddenly it stops working when I try to turn it on again.
Sometimes it displays:
"www.apple.com/support/ipod"
And right now it's displaying "OK to disconnect".
Could somebody please advice what should I do?

I have my IPOD nano for a while now and about a week ago. My husband bought one for his newphew and he had me download all the songs into the new IPOD (2nd Generation). Now Im having problems with mine. Everytime I try to charge and usually the screen will pop up to my original music player. This is what it says now when I open or charge my IPOD.
"The File iTunes Library.it! cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes".
Now, that I listen to it...all the music skip. Please help me..what should I do??

I need help with my ipod. It alll started when I used TechTool Pro to wipeout data for my ipod and after finishing the wipeout, I restart my computer and after the restart I was ask by my computer whether to ignore, erase or eject the HD and I choose eject and what happen next is that I have a apple logo on my ipod and my computer now cannot recognises my ipod, and the apple logo just stay there. I am using a 3rd gen ipod.

The iPod and iTunes are not compatible with Windows ME and the minimum requirements are Windows 2000 with SP4 or XP with SP2 (although I use several iPods and don't have SP2).
If you can't upgrade to one of these, then you can use the iPod with ME if you are prepared to fiddle around a little. However, you won't be able to use iTunes.

Plug it to your computer using iPod USB Cable (any cable should work excluding iPhone 5 and Shuffle cables)...... when you see your iPod in iTunes go to that iPod and click restore...... the whole process should take (depending on what you have on your iPod and its is up to date) it should take no longer than 30 minutes...... then it will ask if you want to set up as new iPod or restore from back-up (itunes back up), since you said:
so its like new
click set as new iPod and follow through what they said.

Ok, I guess I messed up more than I thought. After my iTunes froze and quit responding, I reset my computer. I thought it was ok to disconnect the ipod. Now, the "do not disconnect" screen is still being displayed. I tried to reset the ipod, but that didn't help. The ipod is not shown on "my computer." Now what should I do? Thanks!
