Help!! About 20min to open a project after some crashes...!!

Briefly:
- Working in a project with about 10 audio instruments and 10 audio tracks
- "Multi-thread plugin seems to cause a problem"
- logic crashes and autosave the project
- reopen the project, unload the plugins that "caused" the problem
- save the project with new name
- open the project, thinking everything it's going to be fine, and...
- impossible to open the project normally!!
When opening, some exs instruments are loaded. One of them seems to hang logic. Several times forcing quit, trying to kill some processes in activity monitor, etc. Nothing. Last time i was browsing internet while logic was "working" in loading project and suddenly the project has loaded! 20-30 mins have gone since I'd opened the project! What's up?! Someone can help me?
What i'm going to do right now is to create a new empty project and copy one by one all my tracks. I hope this tedious and dirty solution will "solve" my present problem, but I'm terrified about working in the future with a more complex project (with tempo changes, folders, automation data, audio regions, etc). This present solution will be impossible to go ahead.
Any suggestions? Is there some way to "reset" a project or to load it without some audio-instrument settings? I think there was a way to import selectively layers from a project into another one.

Aha!! It worked!! Thanks sampleconstruct!
Also useful information to those with these (non desirable) problems:
1. With activity monitor i could see the last opened files with logic, and it can be useful to know where logic is hanging.
2. i detected there was some problem with an audio unit and i was going to deactivate it with au manager, when...
3. sampleconstruct told me the good idea of disabling core audio and purge then the project.

After Animate crashed with error, I can't open my project. I have the following error message, when trying to open it:

As far as I can see, EA doesn't allow the user to create items with the same name. If you try to create an identical name, for instance in renaming, it reverts to the previous name.
So how in the world can this even happen?
And so how can I correctly comb the code to fix it?

Can't open my project after FCP X 10.0.7 crash. Backup file is missing, Autosave Vault too. Pro Maintenance Tools does not fix the problem. The event and media are ok. I have crash log and CurrentVersion.fcpproject. Please help, it's very big project.

When I start Acrobat the related window opens normally but, after some scroll up and down along the document, it blocks, Acrobat doesn't respond to any command I can give and, in place of the pointer arrow, a vertical bar, as the one of the text editor appears. The only way I can stop Acrobat is by means of the task manager. I tried to de-install and the re- install Acrobat but the behaviour is always the same. What can I do??

Imovie won't open any projects after upgrading to yosemite

Can anyone help? I upgraded to yosemite and imovie 10.0.6 and now imovie won't open. IPhoto and Garageband open just fine. After clicking Imovie, it appears in the menu bar but all options from the drop down menus are grayed out. I cannot open any projects and there is no imovie window opening. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the program twice with the same result. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Apple introduced a new document architecture with Pages v5, that is not backwards compatible with Pages '09. With Pages v5.5.2 (Yosemite) installed, a simple double-click on a Pages '09 document will default open it in Pages v5. Once you save, or Pages autosaves this document, it is no longer directly compatible with Pages '09, without first exporting it to Pages '09 format. Pages v5 documents do not contain index.xml files, and Pages '09 documents do.

Error opening a project after i have saved it

The following is the error I recieve after I have saved a project and try and reopen it. It does not matter if I close Premiere Elements v7 or if i try and reopen the project right away. I get the same error. "Projects created with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Premiere Elements are not compatible. Please use the appropriate application to open this project." I only have Adobe Premiere Elements on my computer. HELP!!!

The biggest problem that any academic "lab" faces, with the use of either of the Adobe NLE (Non Linear Editing) application is that they do not work well, when one is fully networked, or when users are not set to "administrator."
Because both Premiere Elements and Premiere Pro are such great teaching tools, it would be great if there was an easy solution for this. Many professors have asked similar questions, and I have never seen a definitive answer. Some shcools have been able to configure things, so that they work to some degree, but I've yet to see a post back, with the exact details. This is something that I would definitely contact Adobe Support Technical Support with. There could well be simple workarounds, but details of these is sorely missing in the fora. From a general user's standpoint, the answer is usually, "can't be done," or "only if all users have administrative rights," etc. That is because we know many of the limitations of the programs, but have never been faced with a situation like yours, or the other professors. To be blunt - we just do not know.
I'm not at all familiar with the two programs/schemes that you mention, so I cannot comment on the viability, or the settings of either. I hope that maybe one of the professors, who has been successful, will chime-in with some good suggestions for you. In the meantime, I would definitely ring up Adobe Technical Support. TS for installation issues, and that is what you have, really, is free. Please do report back with how they helped you to do, what you need to do. You will likely help a teacher, and probably soon.
Wish I had better news, and a quick-fix for you, but I do not. Maybe Steve, or another user, has some tidbits that might help. Unfortunately, the closest that I have come to running an Adobe NLE in a networked environment is having some media Assets on a NAS. Though all of my computers are on a p2p network, each Adobe program is local, and I am the only user and have full administrative rights on each machine - no use to you and your situation.

Problem opening a project after is saved

Hi guys;
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
I record all my tracks (drums, bass, a few guitar tracks, etc...)
Then I'm done and I save it to a folder in logic. Great.
But when i re-open the project, only the drum track is in the arrange window. I have to go and hunt down the other tracks and drag and drop them into the window and sync it up again.
Clearly I'm missing something here.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to 'Save As' in Logic and Tick Include 'Assets…'
Click on the 'Disclosure Triangle' below that and 'Tick Any Boxes' that are relevant to your Project.

After updating to a new version of HP Photo Creatinos i can't open my project. I created it in old version and when i try to open it in a new version of HP Photo Creations - it's nothing happens. It doesn't open my project and no any message shown... How can i open my old project in a new version?

HELP! Can't open/build project!

I have an error in the constructor for one of my JSP support classes (e.g. MyPage.java) that built and saved before I closed creator last time. Now, when I try to open the project, the Creator log shows the bug is being hit as Creator tried to render the page.
To make things worse, because the bug is hit before the page is rendered, the project never completely opens. This means the build option doesn't actually do anything when selected. So, I can't rebuild my project to comment out the offending line!
How do I get around this? I've already tried:
- removing the offending file from my project.prj file
- removing the .class file from the <myproject>/build/WEB-INF/classes directory.
- Creating a new HTML file and setting it as the start page
Can I tell creator at startup which files to open when the project is opened? If I can stop the file from being rendered, I think I can avoid executing the offending code and then rebuild with fixed code.
Any help appreciated. Fast help is appreciated more.

OK, fixed this by deleting the offending files and restarting both my machine and creator. Had to fix some broken Java, but I can now at least open my project.
However, now I have a new problem. Whenever I try to run my project (with start page CWPIDAdminStart.jsp), I get the following error:
java.io.FileNotFoundException
no such file: /<my home dir>/Creator/SunAppServer8/domains/creator/generated/jsp/j2ee-modules/_cwpidadmin/org/apache/jsp/CWPIDAdminStart_jsp.classNote that in that same directory (where the CWPIDAdminStart_jsp.class file is missing), there is a CWPIDAdminStart_jsp.java file. There are no errors in the log to suggest that the JSP compile failed, so why isn't this page compiling as it apparently should?

Urgent help please: Error on opening MW project

I have a similar error message to the one in this thread

One day I was using MW and all was fine, the next day it blows up when trying to open a project. We use CVS - is it possible that the NullPointerException would occur if a configuration file had been removed or altered outside of MW (although I have never done this)?
Where can I look to get more information on what MW is choking on?

"Help About" dialog still shows 8.0 after applying 8.0.1 patch

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone who has successfully applied the patch sees version 8.0.1 in the Help > About dialog box. I updated via the Help > Update option and I did see the update downloaded. I was then asked to close Elements 8 so the patch could be applied which I did. However, how does one know if the patch was successfully applied? Most softwate show the latest version when you click Help > About. I still see ver 8.0.

help my safari doesn't open and gives me a crash report ever since i downloaded a file from the internet. I have a macbook air (early 2014) with running os x yosemite version 10.10.1

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates
if it's not already checked.

How to open old projects after updating FCPX

My old version of FCPX was not that old, but I recently updated it to 10.1.2 and it now has the libraries rather than events. After I clicked up update projects and events it has brought my old events into the libraries viewer, but I do not see any of my old projects. I was just wondering/hoping that I can still access all my old projects and where I need to go to import them back in. Many thanks for any help or advice.

No the projects were in the bottom right of fcpx and the events were in the top left. Yes I see now each of my hard drives is listed under 'libraries" and has all the events and import contents listed by name and then each one has a folder "updated projects" with what seems like all of my projects. So is there no way to associate the events and projects back together or at least under the same tab? Anyways, thanks for helping me find my projects, just seems like more of a hassle to get there: hard drive > Updated Projects > Project - rather than just pulling up the projects. I guess it's something to get used to. Is there any alternate way of organizing it or is this just the set standard now? Thanks again

Hi, I'm new here.
I have a major problem since I upgraded from panther to leopard and installed I-life 08
the version of garage band I had prior to upgrade was VERY old, 1.0 or 1.1 I think !
I stored all the songs from the old garageband (29 of them) on a memory stick, and then upgraded. I tried to open the songs in the new garageband, and only five or so were converted to the new format, the rest won't open at all.
this is a real problem as I don't want to recreate 9 months work !
any help at all would be gratefully appreciated as I'm at my wits end!

Anyone know how to open a project after going from Trial to full purchase?

i purchased the full version of Premier Elements 8 and the project I had been working on for weeks just won't open. It seems like it's there, but nothing happens when I click on the file. Any ideas?

Unless the Project file (.PREL) has become corrupted, there should be no reason for a Project, created in the trial, to not Open in the full-paid version. The ONLY difference between the two programs is that trial will embed a watermark on the Exported footage.
This FAQ Entry will instruct you on changing the Project, to remove that watermark.
